My lad tells me Jack is still completing his recovery at Finch Farm. As he's now officially a City player again, wouldn't this suggest that he's intending to stay with us next season? Hope so.
02 Jun 2026 16:10:26
Good news that JB we have missed him these last few games.
02 Jun 2026 17:28:38
Hope so, been very good for us.
02 Jun 2026 13:43:01
Wow I see Everton have a 97% renewal on season tickets for the 2026/7 season so far, good to see that.
02 Jun 2026 22:23:40
Don't play in Guernsey GB.
02 Jun 2026 13:26:10
97% of season ticket renewal rate has already been achieved apparently. That's approximately 38, 000 fans.
Everton supporters are like a loyal dog, keep kicking it and it will still come back time after time with the hope that one day you will give it a cuddle instead.

Rumour about Illiman most worrying. Alcarez wanting to leave too, George looking like he is going back to Chelsea. Aznou, Dibling and Armstrong frozen out. Surely the board can detect a pattern here unless they are wearing the same rose coloured glasses as several on here. We have/ had the makings of a half decent squad here if players had been given a chance minus Beavis and Butthead up front.
Carsley rates Dibling, Moyes not, Patterson good enough for Scotland but not for us. Anzou good enough for Morocco, not for us. I am dreading this summer window as not only will we potentially lose our younger talent but no one under 30 will want to join us. I want to be positive and upbeat but I fear the writing is on the wall.
02 Jun 2026 13:43:50
Unfortunately I have to agree. The situation we find ourselves in is totally depressing.
We have a much stronger squad this year, yet Moyes thinks that finishing in 13th place again and one point better off is progress. Well, I beg to differ.
There's no doubt that the majority of supporters are of the opinion that Moyes should go, but TFG will stick with him. I really don't trust him with our transfer funds, and also fear that he will stick with Barry, who is not only the worst striker I can remember at our club, but is probably the worst striker I can remember in the Premier League.
I don't care if we give him away as long as he goes. I know some people say that he's young, but he's 24 in a few months and should be entering his prime. To put things into perspective, he's a month or so older than Alcaraz, and I don't hear people saying he's only young and needs more time. The difference being Alcaraz has ability and Barry doesn't, but for some reason his face doesn't seem to fit with Moyes.
02 Jun 2026 16:53:48
Or maybe they haven't been good enough of late and Moyes has told them so. Players don't like being told off, they just like picking up thousands of pounds a week and told how good they are. Charlie has done nothing since he's joined, and Illiman has all the flash and no end product towards the end, he cost us big points in our last 6 or 7 games, so not sure what all the fuss is about.
6 goals, 2 assist, Grelsih 2 goal 8 assists I think and been out half the season. Loads of players out there with flashy feet but not many out there with goals and assists. Bowen has good numbers in a team that got religated. I get why people like him going past players ect ect, but no end product may as well hooffed it up the pitch and hope for the best.
02 Jun 2026 19:04:43
Not quite sure how you can say they have not been good enough as they have had little or zero minutes. There is a definite split on here between Moyes can do no wrong and ffs please go. We have had cover and the people to replace under performing players but Moyes keeps on playing his favourites regardless of performance and continually playing square pegs in round holes. We cannot have done any worse if Aznou had played left back, O'Brien had played centre back and George and Dibling had replaced McNeil.
God forbid we drop Beto and Barry and play a false nine with Aznou, Ndiaye, Dibling and George or Armstrong. Results could not have been any worse and maybe we could get an accurate picture of these players. Not Moyes sees them in training ffs. Can only think McNeil, 16 and Tarkowski and Keane must be f****** awesome in training.
03 Jun 2026 11:21:15
'Several' on here are just realistic, not as depressed as the others who have been screaming and shouting like toddlers for something that was never going to happen. The problem is that the squad, as a whole, is probably where it was always going to be after one phase of a rebuild. Is it really that hard to comprehend for some of you?
As for the majority want him gone, would 97% of season ticket holders renewed if that was the case? I think it works out that around 1k have chosen to give their tickets up, that's not a majority unless you're a politician.
03 Jun 2026 14:49:47
The operative word in your piece is Squad! That is why I and many others are upset, because he refuses to rotate and give recognised players a chance to show what they can do. Aznou is the perfect example. Why play O'Brien when we have a recognised left back. It seems it's a perfect case of if your face fits and f*** all to with whether they are premier ship ready.
We are in danger of becoming a laughing stock and the players that leave out of frustration will come back to haunt us. Just because my opinion differs to yours does not make me a toddler.
03 Jun 2026 20:05:35
The board haven't sacked the manager yet, and that outcome doesn't seem likely, so it's time some just accepted the fact and moved on. You don't have to like it, but until TFG pull the trigger then that is our reality. It's the summer window, let's get back to arguing over which transfer rumour has legs!
02 Jun 2026 12:08:09
Taty Castellanos. I don't remember him pulling up any trees for the Hammers as a striker. Am I wrong? Is this guy worth bidding for to improve our forward line, bluenose? You're normally in the know — any news on whether this guy is worth investing money into?
02 Jun 2026 13:27:45
Don't care how scruffy he is, if he scores goals, then get him.
02 Jun 2026 18:24:06
Tbf, Toffebwoy1, I wouldn't be against this transfer at all. We were linked with him quite heavily when he was at Lazio, so watched him a fair bit then and was impressed with his movement and instinct.
What surprised me about him watching him in a West Ham shirt though was the lad's work rate.
Tries his bollocks off, but can also put the ball in the net. I think this would be a great signing if priced right.
I would be underwhelmed if he was our only Striker signing, but definitely a better option than the chuckle brothers, mate. 27, so plenty left in the tank.
02 Jun 2026 08:36:00
Leading the race for Hayden Hackney according to David Ornstein.
02 Jun 2026 13:29:24
Well, hopefully it's a 60m sprint and not a marathon.
02 Jun 2026 18:23:26
Hoping you don't mean £60 million there BB!
01 Jun 2026 22:14:54
If N'Diaye is looking to leave because of Moyes (and let's be honest, I don't blame him) , is there anything we can do to fast-track the inevitible and get DM out? 😅 I've heard Real Madrid love a petition these days!
It still hurts me seeing Digne play for Villa knowing that we let Benitez force him out, only to fire him a few weeks later.
01 Jun 2026 23:19:22
Start a petition based on a TikTok rumour? We'd be better off starting a petition to get Barry a loan deal.
02 Jun 2026 06:59:45
Who says it's a TikTok rumour.
02 Jun 2026 07:32:41
Love it, JB, if it's on TikTok it must be true, strewth. 🤣🤣
02 Jun 2026 09:58:29
I thought someone said they'd seen it on TikTok yesterday?
I'm not surprised at all that Ndayie would be looking at his options. Some big teams would be interested in him.
Does this mean it's down to Moyes? I'm not sure how we could know this is true.
If he goes, someone will need a big cheque book.
02 Jun 2026 12:19:35
Yep, will miss him, but he's been poor since AFCOM. If he wants out, get a good price and move on. I don't want any player in our team that wants out.
02 Jun 2026 13:31:09
There are a lot of very weird people on TikTok. Stay well away, chaps.
01 Jun 2026 16:23:46
Genuine question, not just a complaint as usual - does anyone actually know what the deal is with our scouts (specifically the ones who scout strikers) ?
Have we had the same ones for years, or are we as bad at finding good scouts as they are at finding strikers, and keep rotating the team to no effect?
If I, or my team, recommended my company spend £5m on Sandro, we'd have been shown the door - not allowed to continue recommending players like Maupay, Rondon, Kean, Tosun, Niasse, Barry etc.
I can't think of any other context such incompetence would be tolerated, unless it is just a case that we keep firing and hiring staff and they're all useless?
01 Jun 2026 17:23:15
My guess (a guess) is/was the same ones we have had for ages, of course I don't know. I base it on comments such as scout recommended. I don't think they are lazy, just perhaps have different criteria than some of us. Then, of course, there are advisors and the inevitable fingers in pie agents.
01 Jun 2026 17:24:42
I'm not sticking up for our scouts, no one could, but I sometimes think I only hear about the successful players at other clubs because I don't follow them as closely. Surely every player Brighton and Bournemouth buy isn't a success? Either way, I'd certainly agree that they should be held accountable. What other role do they have than to highlight players to buy?
01 Jun 2026 17:30:04
I think Toson and Sandro actually looked decent before we signed them, and Keane looked good and has been decent since.
I genuinely think the style of play doesn't help - pretty easy to put a centre half on a lone striker to head all the long balls away, and, as we are desperate for success, a lot of pressure on strikers from the off.
It's concerning we have next to nothing coming through the academy in any position.
01 Jun 2026 22:13:44
DM, I don't think they're lazy, I think they're just bad. I would normally understand the 'different criteria', but our criteria at this point should just be 'competent'.
JB, I generally agree, but I think other clubs do have failures we don't hear about, but with us, it's only failures.
Lukaku was frustrating at times, but I genuinely think he is literally the only competent striker we've had in 20 years.
The only club with a comparable record is West Ham.
02 Jun 2026 08:53:58
Alex, I'm wondering if we even need scouts anymore. It seems these days that the club just deal with agents, and they tell them how good the player is.
I mean, we have player stats on everything they do these days, so when looking at players they already have a head start.
If I was the manager, I would give them a list of positions where we are weak, and say find me someone who is better than him. Not someone who can play in multiple positions but someone who is a specialist in that one position we are weak in.
02 Jun 2026 09:39:50
Agree. Brass should be looking at players who are very good in one position, not good in a few.
01 Jun 2026 16:13:04
Aside from Harrison Armstrong who is basically a first team player now.
Anyone know of any academy players that are expected to make it to be Premier League level in the near future (next 2-3 seasons?) I know Braiden Graham scores goals but he’s small and not very quick so I just get Tom Cannon vibes from him, a decent goal scorer at a much lower level.
Anyone else? Because I think that for the hype they used to have, Tyler Onyango and Roman Dixon won’t be Premier League level. I think it’s safe to say.
01 Jun 2026 14:49:32
Just thought I would pop in while passing. Has DM gone yet?
01 Jun 2026 16:16:46
No, and I really doubt he will, just got to accept that he's here for another season.
Hence why I haven't done a victory speech today.
01 Jun 2026 18:33:06
The one major thing Moyes had in his favour, was his ability to set up a defence, but even this went to pot in last seven games.
01 Jun 2026 19:43:34
Oh bugger!
