If Branthwaite and N'diaye really want to leave then Man City would probably be favourite to land them.
Give us Foden, Stones and £30 million
UTFT NSNO
18 Jun 2026 14:29:14
No thanks.
18 Jun 2026 17:13:31
Would take Foden but they can keep Stones or flog him off elsewhere, sick of Everton being loaded with baggage. Great player, gutted he left us but I understand it, do I wamt him back now...nope. If only we could scout like Bournemouth and Brighton do.
19 Jun 2026 01:20:20
Yeah, give the £30mill to Burnley.
18 Jun 2026 11:47:10
RB Liepzig after Barry - Sold.
{Ed025's Note - but how much do we have to give them Dev?.. :)
18 Jun 2026 12:45:03
I think there's a player in there somewhere, just not an Everton player.
{Ed025's Note - i beg to differ Dev..
18 Jun 2026 13:44:41
This comes from Paul Joyce, so could have legs. If true, then obviously he needs to go. If Moyes decides to keep him when we have an opportunity to get rid, then I would consider his position to be untenable.
18 Jun 2026 16:53:45
Called a newly born giraffe Blue_dev.
18 Jun 2026 11:39:48
Leipzig interested in signing Barry, please let this one be true.
18 Jun 2026 07:23:32
This age lark is sooooooo daft, Harry Kane, 32, another excellent footballer and super fit, yers left in modern footballers.
18 Jun 2026 07:57:44
Think it's more about making a profit, mate, only problem is Moyes won't play the youngsters so they will decrease in value.
18 Jun 2026 08:19:54
GB, you can identify good players over 30, and I wish we had Messi. However, not all players over 30 have retained the talent, skill, and physicality to prosper in the Premiership.
The problem is that we have too many older players who are nowhere near as good as Messi or Kane.
You need a balance of experienced older players and fast, exciting youngsters.
Unfortunately, we have a manager who has a strong tendency to have a first eleven of the more mature players, who, to be honest, have had their better days and leave the youngsters, who might make a difference, on the bench.
18 Jun 2026 08:59:51
That's exactly what I'm saying, mate, not all are good and also not all are good under that age, it's a balance. I have no problem if we have a couple of over 30s who are good, like Jack and Tarks. Not so good lately though, Tarks.
18 Jun 2026 10:05:48
Problem with the older players is the wages they want, for instance if we got Stones in, he'd want to be top earner like an ego thing, then Obrien and Branthwaite would get the hump cause Tarky and Stones are paid more then want to move so get 2 unhappy centrebacks just so 1 can have his last big payday sit on the bench or injured.
18 Jun 2026 15:38:07
GB, the defense and Tarks were a disaster for the last 8 games. He is not the answer going forward, but he will be playing since Moyes will not drop him.
18 Jun 2026 16:00:43
Best we have Mike.
18 Jun 2026 18:17:14
Because we only have 4 centre backs, one injured, one playing right back, and the other two are dogs that needed ditching, not given new contracts, mate.
18 Jun 2026 01:24:12
This Ghanian lad in the middle looks good - Caleb Yirenkyi.
18 Jun 2026 00:34:07
There is no disputing what a poor signing Wissa was for the Barcodes but if he were to recapture the form he had for Brentford, there is also no disputing that it would represent a great bit of business.
Chuck 30m at Delap or Wissa. I know who I am picking.
Much better finisher.
Can play up top on his own or in a 2. Can cover the flank positions. His age isn't a positive but getting 2-3 seasons out of him with 10+ goals a season makes good sense to me.
Prepared to get pelters for this but after all, the game is one of opinions.
{Ed025's Note - it is about opinions BN but for me Wissa is just a slightly better option that that what we have at the moment mate, for me we have to get away from hoofball and Wissa would just be another isolated striker looking to head the ball on to another forward who doesn,t exist in our set up..
18 Jun 2026 07:06:56
I thought the same Ed. I do agree with BN as a choice of him or Delap. But both of them had poor seasons due to injury or selection preferences. But ultimately they don't strike me as enough of an upgrade on what we have.
{Ed025's Note - yeah Ace im thinking the same mate...does that make me greedy and unrealistic?..i hope so..
17 Jun 2026 17:27:51
Great to see Jack back kicking a ball.
17 Jun 2026 19:42:44
And in the Everton gear, hope that's a sign to the fans that he's staying on.
17 Jun 2026 20:03:14
That's really good news so badly missed at the tail end of last season, he's a massive player for us.
18 Jun 2026 07:09:17
Yes, very interesting that he's training with us. If either party had reservations that wouldn't be the case at all. I'd imagine our end of season decline wouldn't have been so depressing if he'd been playing. I'm hoping we retain him.
17 Jun 2026 12:23:39.
Simayoko from Auxerre latest striker we are supposed to be interested in £12-9 million.
17 Jun 2026 13:57:29
Forget Grealish and go for Rashford at £40m.
17 Jun 2026 20:04:51
But he's 28 in two years, you will want him binned, he will be tooooooooo old.
17 Jun 2026 22:02:09
Sarcasm doesn't suit you, GB.
18 Jun 2026 05:07:50
And get it right, he's 30 in two years.
18 Jun 2026 07:17:30
Exactly what I said, 28 now, and in two years my maths says he will be 30, far toooo old for some of you.
18 Jun 2026 08:39:56
Grammar!!!
18 Jun 2026 08:42:39
Nope, you said he's 28 in two years.
18 Jun 2026 09:53:46
I have no problem getting in a decent 28-year-old if I think he can get us into Europe. I also think we should be buying younger players that are ready to play in the first team, so then we can sell on for a profit.
That's the way it needs to be until we are established in Europe year on year and challenging at the top of the league.
18 Jun 2026 10:55:49
Rashford's a pipe dream. Grealish wants to play for us. Massive difference.
{Ed001's Note - Grealish doesn't want to play for you, he just wants to play for a team where he can go out on the lash every night. His first priority is getting hammered - he was in the pub with the official Liverpool supporters group here in Dubai not so long ago, absolutely bladdered before it got dark. Passed out on a sofa. He missed a game for you over Christmas because he was so drunk the night before he was too 'sick' to play.
Not sure why Rashford is a pipe dream? He must have realised he has to drop his wages and it would allow him to stay close to family. Again though, he is a bit too keen on partying, which is why his career has floundered.}
18 Jun 2026 12:22:05
Not Moyes' biggest fan, but if your nonsense about Grealish was remotely true, Moyes would not touch him with a ten foot barge poll, and he seems very keen to bring him into the squad on a permanent basis.
18 Jun 2026 17:04:08
Always blues, Moyes does know. Grealish is a great lad but certainly likes a few bevvies.
{Ed001's Note - he is a lovely lad, I fully agree, but his lifestyle is not conducive to being a professional athlete. He picks up injuries caused by it as well as it lowering his performance level.}
18 Jun 2026 17:01:30
I am with ed001 on this. Team are better with Grealish in it true but would be even better with Rashford (faster and can be more direct) , move Ndiaye LW and find a RW that doesn't buggar about.
17 Jun 2026 08:08:00
John Stones too old at 32. Messi scores 3 goals for Argentina last night, isn’t he 38 hmmm.
17 Jun 2026 08:57:34
Remind me who were they playing?
17 Jun 2026 11:58:05
You been on the pop, GB.
17 Jun 2026 11:59:26
Remind me of the temperature for last night's game for a 38 to play in?
17 Jun 2026 12:19:19
He was superb, GB.
17 Jun 2026 12:25:18
Hi Skylark, how you doing mate, trying to explain Stones is not too old at 32 for a CB.
17 Jun 2026 12:31:05
I bet JB's age seems no barrier to him, mate.
17 Jun 2026 12:35:13
We need to stop looking into the past. He is also injury prone. He has had his day. Let's look for fresh legs and build for the future instead of bringing in the likes of Grealish, Stones, Moyes and others mentioned on here like Richarlison.
17 Jun 2026 12:46:22
Agree Skylark, but if the price and wages were right I would take him a very good CB mate.
17 Jun 2026 12:52:24
Oooooo Richarlison. Yes please.
17 Jun 2026 13:02:01
Better than what we have, JB mate.
17 Jun 2026 15:21:49
Moyes has done well in the past at blending older players into the squad, so I am not too fussed about age. But Stones' injury record is a bigger concern. Tarks showed a rapid decline in form in the second half of last season, and Keane, although dependable, should not be first choice.
O'Brien has never convinced me as a CB, so if Stones is to replace Branthwaite then it's a no for me.
If we keep Branthwaite, and Stones is there to partner him with Tarks, Keane and O'Brien as backups, then I can get on board with that idea.
17 Jun 2026 17:19:30
When has O'Brien had a run of games at centre back. 🤔
17 Jun 2026 17:40:56
Or you could also ask why has he not had a run of games?
17 Jun 2026 18:13:55
My God, our expectations have dropped with some of our fan base.
17 Jun 2026 19:00:18
Because Moyes thinks playing those to donkeys at the back and pushing him out to right back when we have a right back on the bench is a master stroke.
Spot on, Skylark. A lot on here still think last season was a massive success. Can only hope the new owners' ambition is higher than some of our supporters.
17 Jun 2026 20:46:28
Some just think small steps were taken, BMD, I haven't seen anyone claim we have made massive steps at all. We can flip it the other way too, there's a lot in here that have unrealistic expectations of where we should be at this moment in time.
They moan about every rumoured player, take every opportunity to display their dislike of the manager etc etc. It's just all opinions at the end of the day.
17 Jun 2026 22:04:14
That it may be BP, but some on here have very short memories.
