When Barry scores his first i'm convinced it will be like buses.

I know he's frustrating us but he's much better hold up wise and linking than Beto.

Give him 6x75 mins in a row please. Poor lad missed a sitter, Haalands missed sitters before and yes haaland then scores. Barry needs that first goal and then hopefully his confidence increase and we see more from him.

Beto is pathetic.

{Ed025's Note - i wish i could see what you do pb, i see nothing that makes me think that he even resembles a footballer mate..

Mrs needs a new clothes line prop, told her no way am I shelling out £27 mill.

04 Nov 2025 10:34:30
Totally agree PB, there is a footballer in there .
His confidence is not being helped by being replaced after 45 / 50 minutes by that plank Beto.

04 Nov 2025 12:24:42
Beto and Barry both need a long spell in the under 21s, both are not good enough at all with either head or foot for the Premiership, losing valuable points it needs to change pronto.

04 Nov 2025 13:11:15
Don’t see it at the moment, looks like he’s got two blocks of cement on his feet.
Hope to be proved wrong.

04 Nov 2025 17:18:53
He's lightweight, no presence, no pace/ acceleration, poor vision, a thripny bit head and 2 dead legs.

{Ed025's Note - you are bigging him up too much for me mate..

04 Nov 2025 07:46:55
Feels like we have been posting the same comments for 10 years - can't score goals - can't keep the ball

Seriously - say to recruitment - buy a striker who has proven can score in the premier league - money wasted on Sandro, Kean, Barry, Beto, Maupay, Naisse

Naisse has best goal ratio since Rom - let that sink in

Sandro, Barry, Maupay - 1 PL goal between them for us

You can't be buying players for 20 million to play up front - that game would have been over at half time if had a half decent forward.

If money is so tight why is majority of our signings sitting on bench - surely would be better to have bought a Rt back, centre half and a half decent striker.

{Ed025's Note - i give up with our recruitment Sobs, buying players who are not prem ready for big money...whats that all about?, i dont know who bought or sanctioned these players but whoever it was needs sacking mate..

@Sobsnewcastle Spot on comment/ points.

Ask Kean if he fancies a go at striker. We know he can strike/ head a ball, we know he can pass a ball, even seen him run with a ball. We know he isn't the fastest. Not sure about the last but 100 percent certain he is better at the first three than our equivalent pair of muppets in the gallery.

I think we are in terrible trouble with dithering Dave and half each Barry and Beto how in heavens name did they become professional footballers and who deserves the sack for signing them, our back line needs replacing with younger faster players, the only consistent thing we do is keep signing below average players going on near 30 years now.

Completely agree.

8 in his last 6 for Franculino now. £15m, rising to £40 in Jan.

Don't know anything about him but why has nobody else been in for him.

04 Nov 2025 10:06:20
They have Dms, reportedly anyway, so we never know the truth of that. West Ham and Como bid £15 million for him in the summer. Bayern made an offer but it was only for a loan, I imagine before Jackson came in. Real Betis and PSG are also interested in him.

21, well-rounded striker who can ultimately put the ball in the onion bag.

Could have picked him up for half the price of Barry (after add-ons) .

Doesn't take a footballing mastermind to already identify that Barry will never have the same ability as Franc does in his entire career.

That is just my opinion of course. Which admittedly is as accurate as Beto and Barry's shooting is.

04 Nov 2025 01:15:07
Don't play McNeil or we will never be able to get rid off him. Totally abysmal!

Can't work out why he came on Lhr. Such a terrible decision.

Bringing Alcaraz on so late was also a bad call. KDH has been absolutely woeful for weeks now. His best game since Wolves was the one he missed through suspension. He does absolutely nothing for us other than play poorly executed reverse passes to Grealish that 95% of the time get intercepted. He has a very good reputation considering he has had 1 good season in the Championship.

04 Nov 2025 02:28:34
We were sitting back and trying to hit them on the break apparently. So he brings the slowest winger in the league on baffling.

04 Nov 2025 00:33:07
Who was in charge of recruitment last close season? Whoever they were they need sacking

Beto bought for £28m in 2003 but who was looking for a move - we kept him
Barry bought for £27m

Between them scored just one goal this season. They share the strikers role but neither show any confidence or, more importantly, potential. What's their sell price now? 10 - 15m each?

Dibbling £40 m for back up to Ndiaye and Grealish getting virtually no game time and losing confidence and value each appearance

That's £94m we had available if we had sold Beto. What should we have done with that? Instead we're dropping down the table because our strikers are failing us and Dibbling isn't a game changer.

Makes me laugh that we are blaming a young lad who has hardly had a look in since he arrived. Comical.

04 Nov 2025 06:55:17
Well i'm happy with a point away to Sunderland, , there not sitting in the top part of the table because there a crap. side, point is a point away from home, we'll done, now we build on that.

04 Nov 2025 06:59:55
I'm sorry BMD but where in my post did I blame either Barry or Dibbling?

What makes me laugh is we won't play our home grown youngsters as the "pressure" of the Premiership will be too much for them yet we go out and spend £67m on 2 players who, for no fault of their own, are struggling and not settling in.

Both might eventually work out but someone made a mistake buying them. We needed a striker that could hit the ground running and Barry hasn't. Made worst by Beto going backwards which means we could really have done with 2 forwards

Paying £40m for Dibbling is not his fault but did we really need him when our midfield is weak, our wing backs aren't good enough, no No 10?

It's the recruitment department I was criticising. That simply wasn't 94 million well spent.

03 Nov 2025 23:05:30
OMG why is it so obvious that we haven't got a number 9 to play in the premier league.

Good 35 to 40 mins I thought. With a striker that game was all over first half. Nobody embarrass themselves by posting Barry needs more time. I hope TFG are preparing a few words for DM his Staff and scouting/ recruiting team that end with 'Or Else'.

Couldn't agree more Dms. Harder to put that off target than on. Absolutely criminal. My brother told me it wasn't his fault because he has not been playing much football. I understand you need minutes to get into a rhythm as an attacking player but that is bread and butter. He had no conviction at all and just wanted to make sure he got connection with it, rather than having any intent. Stinks of weak mentality for me.

One thing I don't like is the lads body language when he is in a Blue shirt or lack thereof. Just an emotionless expression whenever he plays like nothing is going on in there (head) . Never smiling, never angry. If that was a Rooney or a Richarlison they would have punched the floor or the post in anger/ frustration. He just looked like he expected to miss and it meant nothing that he did.

30 million . utter madness.

I can't think of one thing he does well.

People said that he had pace and could carry the ball. To me he looks like a baby giraffe when he runs, zero coordination. He is terrible in the air for a lad so big. His first touch doesn't exist. His passing, half-arsed and leaves his teammates in the lurch.

The only time we should give him is until January. He needs selling as quickly as possible before his value falls any more.

03 Nov 2025 23:56:18
I'm giving up trying to understand Moyes's tactics. He starts with Barry who was useless, Ndiaye shows him what a center-forward should be doing with a fantastic goal. He then replaces Barry with Beto and when Ndiaye goes of he brings on McNeil leaving Dibling and Alcarez who are capable of adding some speed on the bench.

Moyes stands on the side lines looking dejected and pissed off, well that makes two of us.
