Watched bits of the Canada game last night. Not sure about the fuss around Johnathan David. Thought he was really poor.
Wonder who Moyes or our scouting team are watching

For a bit of fun.
Predict the Most Everton Transfer Ever
Everton sign a new striker this summer.
What happens next?
A) Injured before making his debut.
B) Scores on his debut, gets compared to Duncan Ferguson, then doesn't score again for 12 games.
C) Looks world-class in pre-season, disappears once the season starts.
D) Linked with a move away before Christmas.
E) Becomes a cult hero despite scoring only 5 goals.
F) Other (provide your own most-Everton scenario) .

All of the above.
12 Jun 2026 20:29:43
It's Hamburg away 1st August.
12 Jun 2026 23:52:30
Bloody Germans 🤣🤣🤣
12 Jun 2026 14:57:32
Looks like we will be playing Hamburg in a friendly at home early August.
12 Jun 2026 20:11:26
Where did you hear this, GB?
I'm hoping to take my lad to a friendly at the new stadium this summer. Expecting something around 15th, as the last few seasons it's been the weekend before the opening weekend.
12 Jun 2026 20:30:41
It's scheduled for the 1st of August. Both teams are in talks, mate.
12 Jun 2026 23:53:11
Away.
13 Jun 2026 07:46:19
Yep, sorry BR, my mistake it's away mate.
13 Jun 2026 10:43:58
Anyone know when they are announcing the full preseason fixtures? I'm assuming we'll be involved in another overseas tournament somewhere (maybe not USA given World Cup) .
12 Jun 2026 09:41:14
Used to know all the players that played for Brazil, Argentina, France etc. Now I can hardly name any players. Messi and Ronaldo can still play in World Cups at 40 years of age and are still the main attraction. What does this tell us about the standard of football? It is shocking the talent has fallen off a cliff. What happened to all the good players? This must be worst World Cup ever for raw talent.
I fear that football will just get worse ever year from now on. As for the red cards yesterday omg the ref is sniffing glue and they had some woman on ITV some yank who they said was a referee guru but she agreed with the referee and said it was a defo red card. Where do ITV get these people from? Never a red card football is a joke.
12 Jun 2026 10:24:48
Think you might just have gotten too old for the sticker books Dino
12 Jun 2026 11:12:52
Agree, ITV was awful. Will be flicking over between halves.
12 Jun 2026 11:47:08
ITV should be banned from ever broadcasting football they are so sh.not very good at it. Come the revolution Mark Pugash is the first against the wall. I have a list!🤣
12 Jun 2026 14:20:45
Captain Pugwash would have done better. 😂😂
12 Jun 2026 23:55:13
Forgotten the first woman ever had her way with me, but ooooooooooh!
13 Jun 2026 10:07:38
ITV are the same with The Six Nations.
12 Jun 2026 09:39:20
Yves Bissouma. Free anyone?
12 Jun 2026 10:25:19
Certainly a half decent player. Questions around his attitude, I think, but who knows.
12 Jun 2026 23:44:40
Would sooner pay £20 million for Hackney than him. Some players need certain management, I think, don't know if DM is the guy for Bissouma. Hackney wants to play Bissouma, just seems to want a wage.
12 Jun 2026 08:23:02
Bugger I've drawn England in the pub sweep. Still I've got Qatar as well so still have a chance.
12 Jun 2026 09:31:15
There are no good teams in the World Cup anymore, so England have every chance of winning it. I hope not, but they have every chance.
12 Jun 2026 19:45:40
They will be s**** under this charlaton.
12 Jun 2026 21:41:02
Cheers dms, I feel so much better now. 😂
12 Jun 2026 07:49:20
Could sign Trippier after all. He's considering his Wolves contract and he fits the Moyes bracket of Prem experience and being over 30.
12 Jun 2026 23:57:23
Good Rb. But, oh deary me, isn't he old. Some need to stop tucking their t shirts in their trousers.
11 Jun 2026 19:23:31
Refreshing to see us linked with Mateo Pellegrino or the Spanish Big Dunc. I mentioned this lad as a potential signing back before the January window was open but this is the first time I have seen us actually linked.
24, 6ft 4, left-footed (always better players) tank with a real presence but can move well for a big lump much like our beloved no.9.
Parma spent much of the season battling in the lower half of the table, so he wasn't getting many opportunities in front of goal but still managed a respectable 9 goals. It is his all-round play that makes him appealing for us though.
The lad spent his younger years cutting his teeth in the Argentinian leagues so will be no stranger to the physical battle.
This would be exactly the type of signing I would love us to make. Might not be banging in 25 goals a season but that is a rarity these days. I would much rather us get a lad in who can actually play football, bring the ball under his spell and look to find his team mates.
Imagine he would be available at around 20m too, so not a bad price at all for a well-rounded striker.
12 Jun 2026 07:40:50
Looks decent.
12 Jun 2026 09:29:04
9 goals in 40 matches isn't much to shout about, especially in a very poor league, no matter what team you're playing for. I think he will be another donkey, and we already have enough of them donkeys at the club already. Why do we have to have a 6ft 9 striker anyway? What's wrong with playing football on the ground where it belongs?
12 Jun 2026 11:19:42
You think he will be another donkey but have given zero reasons as to why.
"It is his all-round play that makes him appealing for us though. "
"I would much rather us get a lad in who can actually play football, bring the ball under his spell and look to find his team mates."
"6ft 4"
It is as if you didn't even read the post.
11 Jun 2026 19:08:51
Keen to hear what posters' thoughts are on making Tyrique George's deal a permanent one?
11 Jun 2026 19:46:29
Get it done already.
11 Jun 2026 19:54:46
Nope.. Send him back.
11 Jun 2026 19:54:50
Hope we sign him, mate, he has good pace.
11 Jun 2026 20:23:44
Effective from the bench but not from the start. Not many chances, to be fair, but as he's an impact sub, I'd suggest sending him back, as Moyes doesn't do impact subs. At least not until the 87th minute when we're already a few behind.
11 Jun 2026 20:44:47
Depends on the price.
11 Jun 2026 20:53:31
If we could get a new manager, I would keep him.
11 Jun 2026 23:13:56
Still raw a step or two further than Aznou! What is his option?
12 Jun 2026 00:27:28
Think he's worth a punt, as he's obviously got ability and would be a back up for Grealish. I would assume that the fee would be in the region of £20m, as Fulham had a bid accepted last summer for £22m.
My only concern is Moyes, as I remember him saying that they were happy with him because of his work rate, and I'm concerned about his game time, as apart from the 70th minute Beto/Barry switch, he doesn't like to make substitutions and doesn't understand what a tactical change is.
12 Jun 2026 09:21:46
Why sign a young player with pace when we can sign an old player who plays at his own pace.
