why do i keep seeing the name rafa pop up, are you mad? this is someone from them lot across the park who loves liverpool who still gets involved in off field stuff with the club and once called us a so called small club so behave we are everton were better than that, if you could pick rafa over giving unsy and dunc temp charge for now to restore some passion in our team you must be mental.

1.) 17 Oct 2017 12:55:03
Amen to that djrblue.

2.) 17 Oct 2017 16:20:39
I would look no further than Marco Silva if you do not offer it to Unsworth. Great young manager did well at Boro in half season and impressing at Watford.

3.) 17 Oct 2017 18:37:30
He was at Hull not Boro and both teams got relegated.

As good as his start has been at Watford, if we seriously want to change the dynamics of this great club, we need to be aiming higher than him mate.

{Ed025's Note - i happen to really rate him JCW, one of the best up and coming managers in the game for me mate..

4.) 17 Oct 2017 19:13:57
Me too ed, I think he's a great manager and could be the next Mourinho/ Pochettino. Don't think we have any chance of him leaving Watford mid season though.

03 Oct 2017 10:38:51
ed justdrove past goodison about 40min ago and cameras were rolling set up on goodison road pointing at ground any idea what's happening mate seems bit weird especially now its international break.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of anything, could just be a documentary or something.}

1.) 03 Oct 2017 10:47:14
ok thanks mate could be usamov taking over haha.

05 Jul 2017 17:40:01
anything else on rooney and giroud? just seen rooney 1/20 with a bookie.

1.) 05 Jul 2017 22:06:30
Just seen a quote in Metro from Carlo Jacomuzzi, who apparently monitors players in Italy for us, claiming that Giroud will be joining us in a £20 million deal. Not seen anything else on this from other sources though so will believe it when it happens.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 06:55:46
i just think it is mad the amount of players we are definitely in for according to papers truth is from when giroud said he wants to stay at arsenal it is obvious that the rumour is based on wenger probs telling giroud he is no longer needed at the emirates and his agent is working behind the scenes, so there would be some truth to the rumour and he is angling for the best move he can get. we are probs only in for rooney cause utd want him off they're wage bill, but then reports say utd will pay the balk of his wages makes no sense at all utd will pay rooney to play for efc? so a team who is a genuine rival will pay a player to play for that rival that cannot be right don't know the circumstances of wayne's move but surely that's not right if utd are paying rooney it because they are paying off his contract not paying him to play for us, so stupid these headlines.

03 Jul 2017 19:21:21
keane medical all done hopefully revealed today really loving this fellow blues happy times ahead possibly rooney back and maybe giroud bring on the new season.

1.) 03 Jul 2017 20:01:55
another deal completed welcome keano i saw a report that lamine kone could be part of a swap deal for mcgeady + 5 mill that would give us real competition at the back just brilliant if that come off as well. anybody got an update on martina?

{Ed025's Note - nothing on martina at the moment floats..

2.) 03 Jul 2017 20:14:36
Honestly don't think we need martina. Kenny and holgate can cover until seamus is back. Think we need a lb more than rb.

3.) 03 Jul 2017 20:33:02
Not overly keen on Kone tbh. He looked like he gave up at Christmas last season when it was clear Sunderland were going down. I get that he couldn't keep them up on his own, but at least give it a go.

That aside, never thought I'd see the day we would have spent £90m three days after the window opened. Moshiri reallt has been the dream investor who's done what he said he would. Absolutely cannot wait for the season to start!

{Ed025's Note - personally i dont see kone as an upgrade on the likes of jags, williams or funes mori windsor, if we were to purchase another CH i would prefer it to be a ball player rather than another stopper myself mate..

4.) 03 Jul 2017 21:11:43
If we go for another cb I'd like Maguire or mawson. Can't see it though, at least not this window.

5.) 03 Jul 2017 21:31:29
I wouldn't take kone at all floats. he looked decidedly average last year for Sunderland and I think we can sign better.

6.) 03 Jul 2017 21:43:39
yeh kone is just another body. however he was great at sunderland in his first year and it proved to be a mistake when moyes blocked his move last season imho he lost his will to play for them after coming so close to a move to us i think he has something to offer tho and for 5 mill would be a mistake not to sign him.

7.) 03 Jul 2017 22:30:03
Right now they could a blind begger and I would be happy. Just can't believe what's going on at the club. I mean Sandro 5m, what a deal that is. Can see this lad tearing it up in the prem. Can't stop smiling.

8.) 03 Jul 2017 23:37:57
Don't forget Tom Davies can play right back also so we have the position covered with Davies, Holgate and Kenney until Coleman is fit. We don't need another over-the-hill player.

9.) 04 Jul 2017 07:24:15
listening to comments on the rb position i would agree it was just that all the talk so far has turned into transfers just wondered why the martina deal stalled.

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know floats, hes on a free so i cant see why not mate..

10.) 04 Jul 2017 10:48:26
Do we really need Kone with Keane Jags Williams Mori plus Holgate Pennington Browning and Galloway all capable of playing CB?

11.) 04 Jul 2017 11:07:19
another body in contention for a starting 11 will make the defence stronger imo will make williams jags and keane and mori raise they're game 10 fold from last season when it was a case of if your fit you'd probs play and we do have some quality kids there is no doubt but i don't expect them to put too much pressure on the older players
this season, definitely next season tho when we will probs say bye to williams and jags. picking up any player with pl experience for 5 mill is a no brainer whether you like him or not but you know you could all be right and it might not work out still i reckon we would get our 5 mill back.

17 Jun 2017 19:08:04
mail and star saying ramirez signed, oh i hope so coyb.

1.) 17 Jun 2017 20:34:22
Loving us right now.

2.) 17 Jun 2017 23:24:21
Just watched the Spain match at the under 21 tournament, he was poor and was taken off early in the second half not impressed hope we do better than this guy.
Del boy was also taken off as he flits in and out of the game, flatters to deceive hope he goes.

3.) 18 Jun 2017 01:23:40
1 game and you are judging him?

I presume you came to this conclusion because he didn't score?

He brought midfield into play every time it got played in to him. He rarely gave the ball away.

I think you should go an watch some of his clips (and no i don't mean his highlight reel) . Watch personal highlights of games and then see if you don't want him.

He is a Barcelona youth product and managed to break into the team with the likes of Messi, Neymar and Suarez ahead of him, albeit cameo appearances.

I can't wait till we sign him and he bags 20 next season. Will you still want better then.

How about getting behind a player and giving him a chance, instead of getting on his back, before he's kicked a ball?

4.) 18 Jun 2017 01:35:24
70 odd minutes ain't early to be taken off. The 46th yes. Why try to pick faults with a kid who is probably going to sign. even Dixie Dean didn't score every game he played. Give the kid some slack.

5.) 18 Jun 2017 01:48:37
Also look at harry kane. Bangs em in left right and centre, overtook Rom when we thought he was going to get golden boot, yet his international goals ain't like his return for spurs. Sandro WILL score goals if he signs. God I'm hoping klaassen scores on his debut and pickford doesn't concede a goal or we going to be shopping for replacements in January judging some fans views.

6.) 18 Jun 2017 07:55:08
Another thing to consider is the fee. Do you expect a world class player for £5.2m? If he scores 10 goals next season he is a bargain. Never mind the fact that due to his age, we will make a profit on him even if he flops. Great signing.

7.) 18 Jun 2017 07:55:34
Very true Dentie but with some fans I don't think they would wait til Jan there will still be part of the summer window left!
Some of us as supporters need to understand the meaning of the word "Support" we all have our opinions on players and tactics etc but we need keep faith and not get on the backs of our own players, this includes the likes of Barkley who some I have seen reference him as a rat!
Let's focus on the positive and the amazing journey we are on, of Ross and Rom feel there destiny lies elsewhere then it's their choice but we as Everton are bigger than them and will survive and be better and alas they will not be part of something great! But that is their choice and until they are gone they are still our player and should still have some respect from us.

8.) 18 Jun 2017 09:33:32
I think we have to trust the club (in particular Steve Walsh and Ronald Koeman) when it comes to these signings. Personally, I think what Walsh did at Leicester, unearthing talent and signing players that people had already written off, speaks for itself.

I understand some fans scepticism, given what things have been like in the past, but I think times have changed and the club is in safe hands and moving in the right direction. Let's be positive blues!

9.) 18 Jun 2017 09:53:21
What people have to realise is we bought has-been and unknowns like Reid, bracewell, Harper, gray, Steven and Stevens, etc and they won us league and Europe trophies.

We need to trust management team to blend the right squad together to hopefully make us successful.

10.) 18 Jun 2017 10:47:30
He came off because Spain had a 5 goal lead (to give lads a run) . let's judge him when Spain face a challenge. Ridiculous presumably drunk comment to say he's not good enough.

11.) 18 Jun 2017 11:16:40
Red here, the looks good with great stats and my personal favorites at Madrid wanted him. When have they ever picked a bad striker,

All this spending from you lot means big luk is gone I think?

12.) 18 Jun 2017 12:10:59
Instead of judging him after 1 game in u21s and game where Spain are up by 5 goals take a look at his stats for the season in la liga arguably one of the best leagues in the world and judge him on that I just hope he does sign for us and we all give him time to settle into premier league.

13.) 18 Jun 2017 12:33:39
Bigklop, I think Lukaku is definitely going, but we would have spent this money anyway as we needed to strengthen and move forward. Obviously with extra income from sales, I'd expect more than we already have done.

14.) 18 Jun 2017 14:38:18
If you are judging a player on one game then you need to reassess how you judge people. Give me a name of a player who doesn't have a poor game every now and then.

ed any idea what bas dost contract is mate just can't see his club wanting to lose such important player in jan.

{Ed007's Note - Bas Dost's contract runs until 2020 buddy.}

1.) 12 Oct 2017 22:17:02
ok cheers mate offer would have to be very big then just couldn't see it happening in jan could you mate?

{Ed007's Note - I'd be surprised but January's a long way away and anything can happen. Everton will be sniffing around a few players just now to see who's available and what they can get done in January.}

2.) 12 Oct 2017 22:45:28
hope we get sumthin done mate but like i just read in someone elses postwe got big problems on pitch i.e tactics wrong players wrong positions all needs sorting first and fast mate, thanks for feedback ed.

01 Oct 2017 18:06:10
ed your opinion please, i personally think we should put dunc and unsy in charge for time being to get the players heads up restore some faith in the younger lads and get some passion in the changing rooms, what u think ed.

{Ed025's Note - i think the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off djr, i cant see where we go from here, poor defence, little or no attack, 2 full backs who should be call pass backs, no pace, no plan and no goals, and people wonder why the crowd are quiet!!!, things are bad and i cant see a way out of it with koeman in charge to be honest mate..

1.) 01 Oct 2017 19:57:27
Peeps we need to be careful that our expectations do not outweigh our abilities. Before Morishi came along we were a mediocre team who seemed to have more chance of contesting for a championship place rather than a champions league place. Just because we suddenly become one of the top 8 rich clubs in the PL does not mean that European qualification and domestic success comes with it. As with clubs, managers also fall into categories. We were never going to attract a Champions League standard manager whilst players did not see us as a CL type club. The best we could hope for is to attract a Europa League standard manager who sees us as a gamble who would buy the players he can work with and take him to CL status. If it works then we benefit as well. I doubt that RK was first choice, but he was one of the fringe managers who was been touted about as a possible successor to take over at Arsenal or Barcelona. However, to fall into that category he would have to prove himself at a lower standard such as domestic trophies and the Europa league. We have been used to make do and mend type managers working to low budgets to do the best possible with a hope of a cup run here and a possible European qualification there. We need to accept that this new type of expectation comes complete with a new type of mindset. Some of the players we have (that he inherited) either cannot or are incapable of achieving this standard required. Some we have are young and can learn, and others like Rooney can adapt as they have seen it all before and know that adapting is what it takes. We are 7 games into the season, seen mixed performances ranging from brilliant and almost beating city to pathetic with no idea as against spurs. We are at a transformation stage in our history and need to accept that for every 4-5 steps forward there will be 1-2 backward ones to follow. The time to judge RK is at the end of the season, but until then, we need for him to judge us as fans who want to support him in whatever actions he takes to help make us great again. Back the manager and the players will respond likewise. Let’s give him the same chance he has been given by someone who believed in us to put his money in and give him this opportunity.

2.) 01 Oct 2017 20:28:51
Sorry Nick if we leave it to the end of the season we could be relegated and to be honest way we playing I would not bet on us coming back up .
With new ground on the horizon the gamble is even greater.

3.) 01 Oct 2017 20:42:22
I stopped reading at the 5th line. when did moshiri buy us, the year 2000.

4.) 01 Oct 2017 22:19:34
'For every 4-5 steps forward'
That made me laugh, we don't even take 2 steps forward its backwards and sideways with our set up.

28 Sep 2017 21:29:21
why is he bringing klaasan on now we have 3 number 10's on yet again if. i was lookman i would not be happy at all absolute joke.

1.) 28 Sep 2017 22:07:00
Because that is the way Koeman insists on us playing and that is why we will be hopeless until either he changes or he goes. The way we are playing I hope he goes to be perfectly honest. The team is a shambles, the excuse that the new players need time to gel is getting old and it certainly is not a pleasure to watch. We are leaking goals even against poor opponents and find it difficult to score, a bad combination. The team is set up with too many players who are defensively minded, and the team is too narrow with no width. Everyone can see this, even the commentators but Koeman still insists on playing the same way.

28 Sep 2017 20:58:57
eds, to holding mids again even worse because its at home, sandro upfront on his own looks lost needs to be in a front 2 for me and gylfi an rooney number 10's, i say rooney off schniderlin off dcl on and lookman on anget this sorted its awful managing again what's your take on it.

{Ed025's Note - i want rooney off for DCL and lookman for sandro myself mate

1.) 28 Sep 2017 21:04:58
agree mate but take a holding mid off aswell preferbly schniederlin get mirallas or vlasic on and play with 2 wingers.

28 Sep 2017 20:23:49
here we go again how can yers keep backing koeman like i say i always back our managers but he has got to go no width no balance to team nothing at all he has to go this is absoloutly shite.

1.) 28 Sep 2017 20:56:27
I have to agree mate I can't get yo the game today as I'm working away but this has to be one of the worst managers we have ever had the football we play is terribly boring the team selection is also terible and the tactics are none existing. I'm sorry but I just don't see anything in the manager I don't think it will all come together when the players settle down as most think if anything he will take us down . I still think he will be gone by xmas I just hope it's not to late to be saved I've never been so fed up watching everton in a long long time.

2.) 28 Sep 2017 21:03:14
i know mate I've not gone tonight got season ticket for league, but i just know what's going to happen, mirralas lookman and vlasic on bench its just doesn't make sense, he hasn't give lookman a sniff of football has he fellout with him aswell i wudnt be surprised i'm really pissed off at the moment mate he is ****ing clueless.

3.) 28 Sep 2017 21:05:58
I agree Skylark. I keep watching and going games with the feint hope we'd see something different. but it's the same pedestrian rubbish served up time and time again. How long do we have to wait for them to ''gel'? I'm hopeful of changes for the last 25 mins and a win but why can't we come flying out of the blocks?

lot of talk of forward players ed any links to any defenders mate i think we still need good centre half an maybe quality left back to challenge baines, i know we have williams keane jags an mori but if keane were to getinjured we could be little short of that quality mate.

{Ed025's Note - lamine kone and lemos have both been mentioned djr but no strong links to any full backs yet, but its early yet and that could easily change mate..

duncan ferguson and david unsworth and fast get the players heads straight, play them in right positions, reassure lookman an other youngsters whose confidence koeman has destroyed, an get some passion back in the changing rooms, watford played decent formation with right balance and players in starting 11 and they beat arsenal, palce turned chelsea over with there width and pace, if koeman carries on with this we are in a relegation scrap it is awful, arsenal will play us off the park. koeman out now.

to big a job for moyes mate we need to move forward not look to the past i personally don't think we should have signed rooney now and as for moyes think he would struggle with todays everton especially in transfer markets he couldn't cope with united, think his level is a newcastle brighton etc.
