Probably best positing this on the relevant page but I'm asking because I'd love him to come to Everton. Is anyone showing any interest in ward-prowse?

cropper16

{Ed002's Note - I don't think he will be available this summer and they won't be looking to let him go either. Really these questions should go to the Southampton page.}

1.) 25 Apr 2017 20:59:35
I like him. but where would he fit in to our team?

16 Apr 2017 21:34:00
Ed, do you happen to believe that the interest in siggurdson is as a replacement for ross if he goes? Or would we be looking to bring him in anyway. I know both him and ross have played wide positions on occasions and competition is obviously a good thing but for the rumored amounts, i can't help but feel we should be focusing else where. That's not intended to take away from the player, iv rated him for a long time and thought he never got the chance at spurs really.

cropper16

{Ed025's Note - im a big fan of gylfi myself cropper and feel that the intention is for him to join regardless of ross,s situation mate..

1.) 16 Apr 2017 23:02:19
Thanks for the answer. His set pieces alone can win games. Would be a good problem to have i suppose.

{Ed025's Note - im sure others will be interested cropper so we need to get a rattle on mate..

2.) 17 Apr 2017 12:13:28
Gylfi is for me an upgrade on Ross. He should be signed in the summer because he is the quality we're in need of. I've watched him live a few times this season and trust me if we can get him we should. This guy has done it in the prem for years and still has a long contract left in him.

Ross can learn a lot from him too so would like them both. And if/ when lukaku leaves, we will need his goals to add to whatever striker is signed to replace him as the new striker will not score as many as lukaku does atm.

Keep seeing rumours about players like tielemans, nestorovski, pickman, Keane, maguire. Think the tielemans one has no chance and is based on the misinterpreted conversation that Ed has already commented on. Only seen him a couple of times but really like the look of nestorovski and he's doing really well in a pretty poor team. Heard Atletico are looking at him so will have a fight there. Either way, I'm liking the quality of players we are being linked with at the minute.

Reading a few linking us to maguire from Hull. Can't help but think it's being driven by him having a good game on the weekend but seems a decent player. Wouldn't be before vvd/ keane/ Gibson for me though (although vvd is unrealistic in my eyes) . Ed, any info on this?

cropper16

{Ed025's Note - as you say cropper he had a good game so everton should sign him now, i cant find any everton links to him mate..

1.) 25 Jan 2017 19:44:02
Fair enough ed. As I thought it seems.

12 Jan 2017 19:38:03
Rumors of interest in Ludogorets winger cafe. Also say Leicester and west ham interested. Any idea ed?

cropper16

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. Ludogorets had previously said that Leicester and Aston Vill had enquired after Jonathan Cafu but Leicester have held initial talks now and have made an enquiry about whether he would likely be eligible for a work permit.}

Ed, or anyone else for that matter, do you know much about william jose? Been doing a bit of research and looks to be a hardworking, decent little player. Although I'm not totally convinced as an out and out replacement for rom (definitely haven't seen enough of him to rule him out though) .

Can you also confirm that kolasonic has signed a precontract agreement with arsenal? Only seen the odd link with us but mayaswell get it out of the way.

cropper16

{Ed002's Note - Real Sociedad's Willian Jose moved from Maldonado in the Summer of 2016 and has been performing well enough to attract the attention of Everton, Lyon and West Ham. They will be happy to make a quick profit on him. I answered the Kolasinac question on this page yesterday so you should be able to find that.}

A few players have been given stand out reviews today. Other than on here, i haven't seen many people commenting about mirallas. Personally i think he added a lot to our team today. So direct and aggressive but still had a few moments where he contributed defensively. I think he can be a top player if he keeps his head screwed on and works.

cropper16

1.) 09 Apr 2017 23:34:40
Funny you should say that because in the car on the way home when I read Barkley had been given MOTM by Sky I said for me Kev was MOTM. He put himself about upfront causing problems and creating but also as you said defensively he was good also.

2.) 10 Apr 2017 01:40:46
Jagielka was man of the match by a mile. After him though was definitely Mirallas, great to see the passion he showed, great to see him play 90 mins for once as well.

3.) 10 Apr 2017 07:28:08
Personally, I have always rated Mirallas. His direct running and aggression opens gaps in the opposition defence. If you think about it most successful Teams have at least one of this type of player in the side.

{Ed025's Note - i have never doubted kev,s ability BCT, but i do question his attitude and ask myself why cant he play with the same passion as yesterday all the time?, he is certainly an enigma and for me has flaws in his personality, but im prepared to overlook that if he can reproduce performances like yesterdays mate..

4.) 10 Apr 2017 08:25:53
Got to agree with you guys I thought Mirallas looked the player he can be and we hope he will be more often, I just hope he continues to put I shifts like that every week!

only saw the first half of the United Wigan game so not sure how he got on in the second half. But callum connely who has just joined them on loan from us looked really good. Didn't look out of place against united (albeit not full strength) . Only thing I can think he done wrong was their first goal. Even that, fellini moved onto him and out muscled him to get to the ball. Not much he could have done about it. Seems the conveyor belt of talent is well and truly at full pelt at the minute.

1.) 30 Jan 2017 08:58:54
Maybe it was my TV but couldn't really make him out at times didn't stand out, but I know he is a great one for the future

22 Jan 2017 17:30:35
Ed, are we actually in talks with anyone about potential incomings? Lots of rumours but only one iv heard we are actually trying for is ghezzal.

cropper16

{Ed002's Note - I have said where I know of interest.}

15 Jan 2017 19:58:28
Read that we are rekindling interest in kone and may be willing to look at a deal involving mccarthy. Really hope not. I really think macca has a part to play if fit and I'm not convinced on kone. Plus I know what ed thinks about swap deals so hopefully this is bs.

cropper16

1.) 15 Jan 2017 22:25:40
I agree better option around to Kone

2.) 16 Jan 2017 01:17:37
They can have our Kone for free if they pay for McCarthy. what a deal!

I wouldn't get hung up on money. Walsh's strength is finding quality at a good price. Sandro us only that cheap because of his buy out clause. personally think 20m is a good amount for klaasen.

I have heard dolberg saying that it is not the right time to move to a club like United or city. I know there is a lot of others after him but at least the kid has a head on his shoulders.

Honestly he's up there as I've of the players i'd most like to sign (within any level of reality) . Can't see it happening but would be a big signing if it did.

cropper16

{Ed025's Note - we have certainly inquired about him cropper and i dont think the price will put us off mate..

He can also play cb. He's good defensively and can get forward. I get the feeling we are going to be fighting the odds on a few signings this window, just hope we can win on a few of them.

Keep in mind that this is going to be competition for seamus. We aren't likely to get a top class rb just to sit on the bench. Either we go for a really promising youngster, which will depend on what's expected from people like kenny, or we get a solid back up.

That's fine by me. If he does a good enough job and earns a big move then so be it.

Belotti? Am I right in thinking that this is the same fella half the world is after who would probably cost is the amount we get for Rom?

I know modeste is having a good season but not sure on him. I'd prefer dolberg or sandro (although both of them would be hard to get) .

Be fair, he's a much better option than kone. Decent squad player who has helped changed things when he has come on.

Although saying that, i do agree that 12 is high.

I read something similar to Ed. Loans will be taken out to cover the cost but I heard that the council are acting in a guarantor capacity rather than actually taking the loans out. Not sure it makes much difference who actually takes the loan out personally, I think the importance will be in the relationship between Everton and the council and of course the repayment terms of the loan itself. I can't see moshiri putting us in a position where we can't afford our repayments though.

cropper16

{Ed002's Note - It makes an enormous difference. Everton do not have any credit available to them - or far from enough to obtain the loans necessary to build the new stadium. This is a very significant favour that Everton need from the Council in order if they want a new stadium for the club as the club cannot get the loans themselves.}
