Hi eds just a quick one seen a few reports linking us with rakitic sorry about the spelling has this got any legs or just whishfull thinking.

{Ed025's Note - very much wishful thinking im afraid james..

15 Jun 2017 23:22:01
Hi ed were we in for maguire or are we looking at other players and skipped maguire planning on better.

{Ed025's Note - hes off to leicester james and im not too unhappy about that mate..

27 Aug 2016 13:25:26
Hi eds any news on this story doing the rounds about Mccarthy wanting to leave for more game time or is it just paper rubbish following the change of tactics early in the west Bromwich game.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think macca is a happy bunny james, ronnie does not hold him in the high esteem that martinez did and sees him more of a squad player than a regular starter, if a bid was big enough then im sure everton would not stand in his way mate but its up to him..

1.) 27 Aug 2016 21:42:48
Ship him off to Newcastle and try to get sissoko in return.

2.) 27 Aug 2016 21:42:57
going to celtic apparently.

3.) 27 Aug 2016 21:43:56
Won’t be going anywhere needs an operation on a groin injury!

4.) 28 Aug 2016 00:30:50
Iv always said this about mcarthy, squad player at best. Gives 100% every game but doesn't have enough quality on the ball. Still got to be worth £20 million + tho in this crazy transfare window.

5.) 27 Aug 2016 19:17:25
Thanks Ed thought Jimmy would have more fight in him with Barrys age but I think under Koeman it's a different time no fight time to go.

{Ed025's Note - no sentiment in business they say james, he may decide to stay and fight for his place but that does not guarantee that he wont just sell him anyway mate..

6.) 28 Aug 2016 08:50:55
Ed025 you change your mind on any of your above comments? Seeing it has since come out that McCarthy is in fact injured and may need an operation. Koeman also came out again and said McCarthy IS in his plans.

I realise Koeman could be just keeping up appearances. Also that McCarthy even though injured may still want to leave. I'm interested in your opinion.

My guess is the media put 2 and 2 together and got 100,000. Spun a story that they thought made sense. But hey, what do I know.

I do know this that you would be talking to more people in the know than me Ed025. So I'd be interested in what you have to say.

{Ed025's Note - jimmy is a good player NBTB but not first choice for ronnie, he wants to play first team football but the form of gana and barry means thats not happening any time soon, RK will want him as a squad player but jimmy sees things different mate..

7.) 28 Aug 2016 09:33:06
Fair enough. Imho he gets a lot of unecassary stick from people. Although he's not top class. Imo he is good and will improve. I don't think he should be getting his place before Barry or Gana but my concern is long term.

Barry is playing well but for how long. I'd be as delighted as anyone if he lasted the whole season on this level but my head is ruling my heart and saying he won't. Next season then who have we? Maybe I'm thinking ahead or worrying too much. Think we will have our work cut out to find someone better than McCarthy.

James has his critics but I was looking forward to him improving under the new regime and manager. Imo he was going to benefit most within the existing players from the change. I had him tipped to be the most improved come the end of the season. That was depending on him being a regular starter.

Indications at the moment is that is just not meant to be. Especially with this injury. It's a long season though and there is many a slip between a cup and a lip. So I hope things change for the better with McCarthy. Imho the club with benefit from him.

It's no biggy and I'm delighted with the direction the club is going in the last six months. Every which way the club is improving. Thank the lord, no doubt every Evertonian deserves the up turn as it was long overdue.

Any eds no anything on schniederlin and mirrallas omission today.

{Ed002's Note - According to national enquirer.com they had colds.}

1.) 06 Nov 2017 01:53:57
I heard they had a fight in training, whether it was physical or not I'm not sure.

2.) 06 Nov 2017 03:39:11
Sky Sports saying it's because of their lazy attitude during training.

3.) 06 Nov 2017 05:43:10
Had to wipe their noses after Unsy gave them a 'chat', probably where the Cold story came from.

03 Nov 2017 21:24:35
I know this won't be popular but any update on matina after last night he may not be good enough but he does wear the shirt it's not his fault he keeps getting picked.

{Ed001's Note - he had a concussion and was released from hospital.}

21 Sep 2017 06:29:16
So now the Niassie debate will rumble on shame he didn't start last night would be good to see what he gave us over 90 mins
Positives he showed a few good touches and took his goal really well
Negatives it wasn't what will be our starting 11 in the league and it was only 24 mins
Personally I think he needs to be given a chance in the league I do think him and dcl could complement each other quite well but can't see koeman giving that a chance as struggle to see where Rooney and siggurdson fit in if playing 2 up top.
Just on a side note and away from any debate on his ability I think the lad deserves massive credit and respect for the attitude he's shown after the way he's been treated so refreshing to see him put his head down and graft especially pleasing when we have had to put up with lukaku attitude and Ross and Kevin both being like stroppy kids it's nice to see that he seems to have the just get on with it approach it may not be the answer but attitude goes a long way and it's as a club what we need.

1.) 21 Sep 2017 11:07:39
To be fair Calvert Lewin scoring 2 justifies not starting Niasse. But for me Niasse HAS to be on the bench on Saturday with Calvert Lewin starting, irrespective of whether Rooney plays or not.

2.) 21 Sep 2017 12:37:38
I agree mate to be honest I'd like to see them both playing think they could really work well together.

08 Sep 2017 21:24:21
Hi eds just wondering if any of u can shed any light on onyreku I keep seeing bits crop up and it looks like he's doing well at anderlecht will he be able to adapt next season and just really is he any good can u see him coping with the premier league.

{Ed002's Note - the issue will be around work permits. He is seen as a decent player but by no means a world beater.}

31 Aug 2017 09:57:30
Hi all
Good luck for today
So far been an excellent window just the striker needed to make it perfect for me
Fingers crossed will be a decent day personally think
Vlasic will be done decent addition don't know much on him but thought he was decent against us
Vermallen yes injury prone but would be a good addition to the back line not too many games from him but certainly will add to the squad
Striker wise God knows we seem to be linked to everyone who's had a go up top ideally for me batshuyi would be number 1 but Costa on loan would be decent short term fix dembele or dolberg a risk on how they would adapt to premier league okoka could be a battering ram personally that bits I've seen he is capable of causing problems to defences yes not prolific but do we need that with the hopefully other goals now in the team
Personally I'd like to c us take a punt on Walcott no basis just seems everyone wants out from arsenal and think he could give us a different dimension and some serious pace
Keep it head up ed 2 personally love it responses and not suffering of fools can't wait to c how today pans out.

1.) 31 Aug 2017 11:07:42
Walcott you know it's 2017 don't you Walcott was finished years ago never improved and I can't remember last time he had a good game. The reason why Arsenal are crap is because to much faith were kept with average players.

2.) 31 Aug 2017 11:56:45
The same walcott that scored 19 goals last season?

3.) 31 Aug 2017 12:31:00
Half of those were in the cup plus you want him as a winger or striker, for me he is something we don't need it would be another body.

4.) 31 Aug 2017 12:49:19
It was only a curveball suggesting Walcott trying to think who would
A have pace
B possibly be available
C consider signing for us
Yes there's better out there but do they fit the criteria no point in building hopes up for unrealistic targets I mean if were going to do that I'll settle for vvd, aguero and draxler today.

5.) 31 Aug 2017 13:06:46
Just my opinion but I would want a player in our squad who scores 19 a season in the games he's played in.

That's also incorrect arsenal were in the second division finishing 5th in 1915 but that was enough for them to be promoted and since then they have been ever present I'm sure I have read somewhere that it was to do with the war that led to there promotion but I can't clearly recall it at the min.

Lol totally agree really miss ed 002 with his at times cutting responses the knowledge of all the eds is excellent but ed oo2 certainly was special it's a shame that thru the frustrations and anger that our teams performances produced we have sadly lost a good mine of information that we used to receive fingers crossed he will return lost count of the times I have openly chuckled at the responses and put downs he would come out with.

I'd take him to play in our midfield.

I can see that point but would u say that is what Ferguson brings he's been there for the end of martinez the whole of koeman unsworth and now allardyce and I'd say it's the exact reason u say we need an ex player involved that has been so missing from the squad.

Totally agree it's great in the sense that it's nice to look after our old players but what do they bring to the club.
I loved Ferguson when he played but hrs been here for a while what does he being I feel the club needs a proper shakedown and restructure from top to bottom and no matter who u are or what u achieved at the club it should only be gauged on what they bring now and what they will bring going forwards and if it's not enough to warrant a role in the club so be it and it's time to say goodbye it's harsh and not nice but if we are to progress and move forward we need to be more ruthless and more professional yes it's clinical yes it's cold but the hard cold facts are sentiment has no place in top level football unfortunately and that's the decisions the club need to make.
