Nice letter of introduction from Moshiri in the programme for tomorrow's game. Noticed the final comment was about playing good football and winning matches. Hope Martinez reads the "winning matches" bit.

What about the rest of what he said, he will provide money for new players also keep our best players and make a decision on the stadium love this guy already he wants Everton to return to the glory days and is willing to put his money where his mouth is fair play to him exciting times ahead.

2.) 11 Mar 2016 15:49:25
Sounds good to me. let's give him a chance to get things sorted and all lay off the negativity we all post on here. He will make the correct decisions over the coming months, some personel will leave and others will arrive. We just need to view it as a new dawn for the club. And if anyone suggest mcclaren as next boss the white van will be parked on priory rd.

{Ed025's Note - love it AB..

3.) 11 Mar 2016 17:23:54
What I want to know is who disagreed with Stef the blue? I hope it was done by mistake. Stefs post and alwaysblue is fabulous stuff.

As I said plenty of times lately the future is bright. Very bright, there's even butterflies in my stomach!

I feel like a love struck teenager all over again 😁.

4.) 11 Mar 2016 17:29:44
Is the statement available online anywhere?.

{Ed025's Note - its on the EFC website i believe gibbo...i just typed in everton and it was there mate..

5.) 11 Mar 2016 18:32:13
Cheers NBTB I believe someone hit the disagree by mistake as what I posted is exactly what the man said, I am aswell very excited we have this man onboard I hope he gets a very good present from the players tomorrow and we book a place at Wembley COYB.

6.) 11 Mar 2016 20:51:47
Get a room you two!

7.) 11 Mar 2016 20:56:17
I take it, it was you who done the second disagree soldier blue!

I know we're all men and we love nothing better to express our testosterone filled body's but have you ever heard the term it's nice to be important but its more important to be nice 😎.

8.) 11 Mar 2016 21:01:58
Haha, only after noticing 2 disagrees with my comment. Some people love storing the pot. They are wasting their time if they think that's going to work.

Couldn't give a rats a*s if I got a thousand disagrees. As you said yourself soldier blue to a comment in the last couple of days 'if expressing my opinion about the bright future of Everton F. C. makes me a clown then a clown I must be'

A happy one at that 😁

9.) 11 Mar 2016 21:20:44
Just a bit of banter NBTB and no I didn't disagree with your post not guilty.

10.) 11 Mar 2016 21:26:38
No problem soldier blue. I know its only banter.

11.) 11 Mar 2016 21:40:33
I think bill has done a great job as moshiri will be able to buy outright or bring rich pals in, and he will be in charge. Bill went for the right person not the one with most money.

{Ed025's Note - he told us he would pb, its a shame there are still haters within the fold who disrespect the man..

12.) 11 Mar 2016 21:49:17
Eds I have always stuck up for Bill, he takes the crap for the other directors. But he has done well and they should at least say well done. When your proved wrong have the balls to say so. Bill is a supporter and he openly said he ain't got the money. Now he has done what we want so some fans need to get off his back.

{Ed025's Note - im with you there mate..

13.) 12 Mar 2016 08:24:34
For me Kenwright has been amazing look back at the Peter Johnson days! He has taken us from those dark dreary times and carved out a piece of Evertons history. And you have to admire him as he just continually and honestly said he couldn't take the club any further! He has gone out and found a backer that is ticking all the boxes and I have to say at this time I am very pleased! Well done Bill!

{Ed025's Note - i agree ST mate..

14.) 12 Mar 2016 16:07:29
Kenwrong has been amazing lol, he gave us Moyes and Martinez, his very own lapdogs, LOL.

{Ed025's Note - manager appointments will always be a lottery stig, but as regards running the club i think he has been great mate..

Agree with the posters who want more sound at Goodison. I am pretty sure that Koeman will turn the results around, the squad is too good for this not to happen. What I am not certain about is if he can get us playing attractive football. Every game I put on my Everton shirt and turn on the TV hoping to be entertained. This season I am not, in fact I am bored out of my mind. Koeman states that the players are "scared". I agree with him, they are scared about making mistakes so they take the easy way out and pass backwards. Koeman has shown that he does not favour players like Lookman, Barkley, Mirallas and until recently Niasse and Kenny and picks his old favorites who play the way he wants them to play, dull and boring stuff. Davies for example has shown he has a instinctive footballing brain which you can't coach. You either have it or you don't. What you can do is make the player so scared of making a mistake that they regress which is what Davies has done to a certain extent this year.
What Koeman needs to do is pick a more attacking team, give the forwards full rain to run with the ball and attack especially on the wing. They will not be successful every time but it will be more entertaining. Defenders should not make mistakes but forwards and supporting midfielders should be encouraged to have a go. To those who say getting the points is more important than playing attractive football may I suggest that playing good football brings its rewards both from getting points but also getting the fans behind the team.

Good post that Mike.

See Koeman is now blaming the players saying that they are "scared". I guess we cannot expect any changes in strategy then, he will just continue picking the same unbalanced team util they get whatever he is trying to prove.

Well it was the players fault! I'm sorry but picking a formation and trying to play to a strategy is fine but if the players don't perform, then blaming the manager is pointless. Once the players are on the park they pretty much do what they want. I bet you RK doesn't want them to wander around the pitch at a snails pace congesting the middle of the park making individual errors that cost us goals. RK should take some of the blame but the players should take a lot more for some of their shocking performances.

Thing is sa90 if you play CM out wide they will have a tendencies to drift inside as that is their instinct due to their natural game and position, if you want a player to play wide left pick a player who plays wide left, if you want a number 10 pick a number 10, horses for courses and all that it isn't rocket science, so yes it is the managers fault for selecting a starting 11 with at least 3 players out of position, and a player who doesn't warrant a position due to being poor thus lacking confidence.
Lookman reminds me of Sterling, yet Raheem was given an opportunity and sometimes he ran down a blind alley or made mistakes but he also had defenders on the back foot with his pace, why oh why we don't utilise this is beyond me. Its time to play your best 11 in the correct positions and let's get some confidence in the side and the fans by going on a run.
Pickford in goal as he is a keeper, Keane and Holgate at Centre back as they are both centre backs, Baines on the left and Martina Right again both their natural positions. Gana as the holding midfielder, Vlasic on the left, Lookman on the right of midfield with Sigurdsson in the centre which is were he has played throughout his career with DCL and Niasse up top. 4-1-2-1-2 formation. All players playing in the correct position and importantly with pace going forward, if Ron plays with 2 CM again at the weekend and Williams at the back, I give up and will not support his stubborness.

Same old team apart from Holgate at center-back and glad to see DCL is in.

Everyone should stop posting about Koeman being fired. Take my word for it he will be here for the full season so get used to it. At the end of the season depending on how the season has gone and depending on the availability of a replacement assessment will be made about his future. Nothing else makes sense.
I just wish that he would stop being so inflexibly and start trying to get a balanced side not just playing his favorite players. As has been said before the next few games are critical to our season, hopefully by January we will be in better shape and can bring in a Lukaku replacement.

Well I posted on here that I would not be watching the game since I was going to see my grandson at the University of Connecticut. So I arrive at his dorm and his room mate is a MU supporter and is watching the game on TV. It is 1-0 for them and we stay in the room 15 minutes tops and when we left it was 4-0. I can't get away from it, have I upset the Gods?

I've said it before and I know it would cost us but I would keep him for the whole year. Play him if we need him, mainly as a sub.

Ed's right Chelsea will want to offload ASAP. Costa will not want to come to the North of England so for me this is not going to happen. If it did it would be great but it would have to be on a long term deal otherwise it is a waste of time.

He has not seen much playing time with Benfica but from what I read his scoring rate is not bad when he gets playing time. Also he is 6 feet 2 inches so is tall enough to be a target man. We have to trust that the scouting team have seen him play enough and are confident that he will fit into the Koeman style of play and will improve the team.

Well he had better turn things around. The way we are playing it will be tough to beat any team. Any Evertonian should hope he can get the team winning but I for one have my doubts.

I believe that Moshiri wants success at Everton so for him the present situation is not acceptible. I am sure that he is looking at alternatives as we speak but will want to give Koeman a little more time, but not much. If a world class candidate is available and would agree to come to Everton I believe time is running out for Koeman.

Well I would be happy if Unsworth was given Koeman's brother's job if Koeman is staying since I fail to see what the brother brings to the table. Would give Unsworth the experience and with Ferguson they could replace a "YES" man with two Evertonians who would not be frightened to let Koeman know when he was making the wrong decisions. Will not happen since Koeman and his brother are a double act.
