Find it hard to take some posters snide comments on here although I understand it's a banter site.
Firstly it appears Big Sam is our new permanent manager, that if it true is done!
Hopefully he's the right man to turn our season, however it won't happen overnight.
Let's hope in January Walsh does what he's paid to do and brings some quality fresh talent into the squad!

We had little options available and they've turned to a specialist in reversing our current position.
He has spoken respectfully of the club and it's history and supporters I for one will be right behind him as he is our hope, I understand many peoples resentment and he like many has made a mistake but we all deserve a second chance, it was very costly for him!

We need a win tonight to lift everyone at this great club!

Good shout mate, we have to live and let live, just get so fed up with some of these snide posts on here mate same as you, i will get behind whoever wants to help our Great Club, end of.

2.) 01 Dec 2017 18:54:32
In my opinion he no more made a mistake than many of us would. If someone approached me while under contract it does not necessarily mean I would not listen to them as indeed he did. Also I would point out I could perhaps be interested in the future but that I and you would have to discuss with my present employers again which is exactly what Sam did and said. It is only the hysteria perpetuated by the media in this Country that fans the fire.

We were linked with Rachid Ghezzal in January I believe he is now a free agent, anyone know if we still have an interest in him?

{Ed002's Note - He has made it clear he has no interest in moving to Everton.}

1.) 20 Jul 2017 19:21:22
Reports today Rachid Ghezzal is in talks with Watford.

2.) 20 Jul 2017 19:49:09
He must really dislike Everton if he's interested in Watford rather than us. Good old rumours eh 🤣.

3.) 21 Jul 2017 10:09:25
Contradicts what he said last year then, I remember reading a report that he wanted to join a team playing in Europe, I am sure Watford aren't in Europe!

15 May 2017 15:45:42
Has anyone else seen the leaked pic of the supposed kit with Sportpesa logo?
I do hope its a red herring and not the actual shirt, it looks a training kit!

{Ed007's Note - efckit

1.) 15 May 2017 16:20:30
seen that it's definitely the training kit.

2.) 15 May 2017 16:21:22
Looks more like a training type shirt that.

3.) 15 May 2017 16:34:09
yes strange because the teaser on the website looks to be a lighter blue.

4.) 15 May 2017 17:43:31
To me it looks like the training top for next year guess we will find out tommorrow for sure.

31 Aug 2016 21:27:55
Ed any chance of Kone last ditch.

{Ed025's Note - not unless macca agreed to go the other way wakka, moyes is playing hard ball mate..

1.) 31 Aug 2016 21:36:43
And I used to like the bloke ed.

{Ed025's Note - i never did wakka...his eyes are too close together.. :)

18 Jun 2016 16:16:36
Ok all the Rom Knockers from the last few days please continue .
oh he's worth £65m again!

1.) 18 Jun 2016 18:58:47
Regardless of what price is placed on his head, the disrespect he has shown the club is what people are having a go at. If he kept his and his dadays and agents opinions of were he should be playing and spoke in private, a bit like how we did with Koeman then maybe it would be a different story. I for one can't see him being an Everton player next season and by going public the way he did to get the fans to turn against him is how he is anchoring his move away. And whatever price we set if it ain't met let him stew in the reserves. We need to stand our ground and not be forced into a sale of were he wants. PSG maybe, well that's a very competitive league he will be playing in won't it? He's choosing the easy way into Champions League footy going there. As I've said in an earlier post I would rather see the back of him then Stones.

2.) 18 Jun 2016 19:39:12
It doesn't really matter how many goals he gets it's him who wants the move says he wants champion league football with Chelsea or United? That's funny because he won't get it with either of them.

3.) 18 Jun 2016 20:49:52
Totally agree bluegray87. The disrespect is awful. I just hope he gets loads of goals. Every goal his price will go up.

If he chooses to stay all well and good but the indications are he's going. Could of been more professional about it. Totally agree about Stones too. He may want away just as much as Lukaku but has the decency to keep it to himself.

If I had to choose who to keep, it would be Stones all day long. Defender like him comes along every blue moon. We need a striker with or without Lukaku. If he leaves I suspect two will be signed which would be good for competition.

4.) 19 Jun 2016 01:32:16
Sorry guys i have 2 disagree. Granted he shouldn't be saying the stuff he's said. However in his defence he is still young and has ambitions to play at the top level, and if keoman can get rom to stay and channel that ambition in a better way ie performances on the pitch then he would become vital to our future. let's be honest after the last couple seasons he's probably become just as disillusioned as the rest of us. Even if he did go and for arguments sake we got 60+ mil could we attract a player with the goal return of rom? Possably but it would be difficult. I hope that rom ends up staying but not for the money or the fact nobody signs him but that he can be persuaded to want 2 stay.

5.) 20 Jun 2016 13:50:23
People forget that stones put a transfer request in and when it was knocked back he got his head down and got on with the job. Even if Rom says he wants to go to this club or his dad what's to live in the south of France or his agent wants £5m for himself do want we did with stones say sorry rom/ dad/ agent you got x amount of years left we will keep you for let's say 1 more year at least shut your mouth and score goals.

Three man shortlist apparently O'Neill, Pullis and Unsworth, not inspiring I know, but this search has shed new light on our board and the Shambles they appear to be in!

The lunatics have taken over the asylum!

02 Nov 2017 21:08:51
When you are playing for your future on the verge of going out of Europe, then pick a side with no striker, how on earth do you think you will get that job or win over the fans?
Tonight we dug in for an our but were totally outclassed in the end.
For all the money spent we are in a worse position than 3 years ago, and more so no Lukaku replacement has made us look a one man team over the last few years!
The young lads have been our only bright spark but total mismanagement at every level has put us back years!
It's now about survival nothing more at this time, you cannot build unless the base is solid!

23 Oct 2017 08:54:19
So no surprise this morning that after a meeting with the board RK has convinced then he can turn it around, however his body language and his interviews hardly convince me that is the case!
He believes he has the players behind him but that hardly showed yesterday, again he got tactics wrong and had to change at half time.
I watched the debarcle again last night, our defending was terrible and I would question that any of our senior defenders are good enough at this standard any more? No leadership players making poor decisions and basic errors!
Can see him having next two games then enough is enough, problem is I don't believe the players think they can win those games!

{Ed025's Note - i dont think they can either wakka..

1.) 23 Oct 2017 09:18:06
Ed I often question the mans arrogance but was surprised to see him pictured out on the town in Manchester last night, if it was the players they would have been pilloried by the press!

{Ed025's Note - he was just giving the samaritans a blow wakka..

2.) 23 Oct 2017 09:53:32
2017 Points 2016 Points
Stoke 3 Stoke 3
Man C 1 Man C 1
Chelsea 0 Chelsea 0
Spurs 0 Spurs 1
Man U 0 Man U 1
Sunderland 3Sunderland 3
Bournemouth 0Bournemouth 0
Burnly 0 Burnly 0
Brighton 1 C Palace 1
Arsenal 0 Arsenal 3
8 13
Other than Brighton who I have swapped for C Palace, doing an analysis of 2016 to 2017 it wouldn't have looked too different. 2016 advantage was a point at Spurs and an unexpected last minute win against Arsenal. Now I'm not saying that we are in any way in a good or similar position, as we clearly are not, however there is still opportunity to get out of this mess we find ourselves in if we make the changes now! not in 2 games time, now! If we go out to Chelsea as expected, and are out of Europe, who cares, it's about securing PL status so give someone a go for these games to get some understanding and belief back in to the team. We then have a number of winnable games after the international break to work our way out of trouble ready for the Jan transfer window when we will have the opportunity to buy in a striker and off load a couple of duds. Forever optimistic.

{Ed025's Note - there is a thin line between optimism and wearing blinkers chalkie, but i applaud your thinking mate..

3.) 23 Oct 2017 10:10:53
The problem is deeper than that. If he was able to solve it, he would have done by now. It has become phsychological and I include RK in that. I hope Mr Moshri/ the Board have given RK a next two matches ultimatum and see where we are. I say this because looking at the table we are already 4 points off the top half and we need those from 11th upwards to Liverpool to stagnate and does anyone seriously believe that will happen because I don't.

4.) 23 Oct 2017 12:36:57
I'm sure he has another 2 matches but we all know nothing change just 2 more defeats until the inevitable, the writings already on the wall its just a matter of time!

22 Oct 2017 16:40:17
Never thought I would say this but we really need someone like Allardyce to pull us out of the position we are in! Its now all about survival top 7 has gone!
You can look at the points and think its not a huge gap but its the players mentality that also needs fixing!

{Ed025's Note - sams good at fixing things wakka...if he gets a brown envelope..

1.) 22 Oct 2017 16:53:16
Lucky Moshiri has plenty to fill it with lol.

2.) 22 Oct 2017 16:55:15
Desperate times desperate measures Ed025.

22 Oct 2017 16:14:18
Taught a huge lesson today in terms of passing and movement, also shots us 8 them 30! Possession 33-67% massive gulf add our poor decision making ie stupid 2nd from Gana, and it's a sad day for us all round!

have to ask what's happened to Luke Garbutt? He showed so much promise and looked like he could replace Baines in the long term.

Lets be fair we have sacked our manager at a difficult time in the season, it is a case of availability at this time, end of the season and Silva would be no real problem instead Watford have us over a barrel in the sense of compensation if he is indeed our No1 target.
Other than that it is limited and I don't believe the choice is great.
Personally Dyche would be a good pick in the sense of stabilisation but a similar situation to Silva.

Agreed has been a bright spark for us recently, not sure what Unsworth ha against him! hopefully he'll be back with the U23's soon and a new manager can take us forward!

I think its unfair to think Sam had nothing to do with Unsworth's last game, let's face it the players had not performed for him over the previous five weeks.
The fact is he was there on board, did speak with the players and we saw a considerable change of attitude!

Spot on Ed025 and I know your not a fan, why can’t posters on here give this man a chance? He was deemed good enough to manage England, and he bought some top players at Bolton, this is a lifetime chance for him at a big club, the last two fancied managers we have appointed have been one season wonders and flawed in their management styles.
Give the man a chance guys at least start to judge at the end of the season.

{Ed025's Note - the think is wakka that the guys who make the decisions have appointed sam so theres nothing we can do about it, i was an advocate of hiring both martinez and koeman so what do i know? as you say lets just get behind the club and do what we do best..support the team..

Did you not applaud Beardsley, Albert, Sheedy, Johnson etc then?
If they represent Everton Football Club why would you not applaud?
