interesting rumour doing the rounds, According to Calcio Mercato, Everton snubbed a swap proposal from Inter Milan on deadline day, which involved Morgan Schneiderlin and Marcelo Brozovic.

1.) 01 Feb 2018 08:49:51
I'd have taken that all day long.

2.) 01 Feb 2018 15:49:21

3.) 01 Feb 2018 20:14:41
Unless he's the Croatian Schneiderlin.

Find it hard to take some posters snide comments on here although I understand it's a banter site.
Firstly it appears Big Sam is our new permanent manager, that if it true is done!
Hopefully he's the right man to turn our season, however it won't happen overnight.
Let's hope in January Walsh does what he's paid to do and brings some quality fresh talent into the squad!

We had little options available and they've turned to a specialist in reversing our current position.
He has spoken respectfully of the club and it's history and supporters I for one will be right behind him as he is our hope, I understand many peoples resentment and he like many has made a mistake but we all deserve a second chance, it was very costly for him!

We need a win tonight to lift everyone at this great club!

1.) 30 Nov 2017 12:20:50
Good shout mate, we have to live and let live, just get so fed up with some of these snide posts on here mate same as you, i will get behind whoever wants to help our Great Club, end of.

2.) 01 Dec 2017 18:54:32
In my opinion he no more made a mistake than many of us would. If someone approached me while under contract it does not necessarily mean I would not listen to them as indeed he did. Also I would point out I could perhaps be interested in the future but that I and you would have to discuss with my present employers again which is exactly what Sam did and said. It is only the hysteria perpetuated by the media in this Country that fans the fire.

20 Jul 2017 17:56:10
We were linked with Rachid Ghezzal in January I believe he is now a free agent, anyone know if we still have an interest in him?

{Ed002's Note - He has made it clear he has no interest in moving to Everton.}

1.) 20 Jul 2017 19:21:22
Reports today Rachid Ghezzal is in talks with Watford.

2.) 20 Jul 2017 19:49:09
He must really dislike Everton if he's interested in Watford rather than us. Good old rumours eh 🤣.

3.) 21 Jul 2017 10:09:25
Contradicts what he said last year then, I remember reading a report that he wanted to join a team playing in Europe, I am sure Watford aren't in Europe!

15 May 2017 15:45:42
Has anyone else seen the leaked pic of the supposed kit with Sportpesa logo?
I do hope its a red herring and not the actual shirt, it looks a training kit!

{Ed007's Note - efckit

1.) 15 May 2017 16:20:30
seen that it's definitely the training kit.

2.) 15 May 2017 16:21:22
Looks more like a training type shirt that.

3.) 15 May 2017 16:34:09
yes strange because the teaser on the website looks to be a lighter blue.

4.) 15 May 2017 17:43:31
To me it looks like the training top for next year guess we will find out tommorrow for sure.

31 Aug 2016 21:27:55
Ed any chance of Kone last ditch.

{Ed025's Note - not unless macca agreed to go the other way wakka, moyes is playing hard ball mate..

1.) 31 Aug 2016 21:36:43
And I used to like the bloke ed.

{Ed025's Note - i never did wakka...his eyes are too close together.. :)

In a day of joy with all the news going on of ins and outs, its worth taking a moment to remember Ray Wilson, a sad loss for those that remember him great club servant and World cup winner!

{Ed025's Note - very much so wakka..

1.) 16 May 2018 17:16:17
1m 62 yrs old and stood in paddock many times watching best left back in the world soooo very fast.

2.) 16 May 2018 17:32:13
Great player and one of my favourites. Used to live round the corner from me in Lydiate. I used to see his England shirts drying on the line. Still gives me a warm glow thinking about that.

3.) 16 May 2018 18:33:55
I remember him coming from Huddersfield, another excellent signing in those days.

4.) 16 May 2018 22:48:40
Legend RIP.

23 Apr 2018 20:51:06
Two 40 point mediocre mid table sides serving up a large slice of boredom!
39000 at Goodson deserve their ticket money back!
If after a couple of weeks a home game SA picks an obvious formation and the same old culprits, today I will give Schneiderlin his due he has been effective and Walcott lively but no end result the rest well there you go!

Cmon Everton for gods sake give something back to the fans second half!

{Ed025's Note - to be fair to sam there is not a lot there to work with, a lot of very mediocre players in our side wakka and whoever comes in will have to start from scratch i feel mate..

1.) 23 Apr 2018 21:07:47
Totally agree ed025 but there are a few on the fringe that may benefit from a run out in games like this?

{Ed025's Note - thats fair wakka mate..

2.) 23 Apr 2018 21:55:52
Particularly think Funes Mori over Keane, instead of Davies coming on maybe Klassen, could he have done any worse? And Vlasic for Bolassie who again was poor!

{Ed025's Note - not a very good watch again wakka..

3.) 23 Apr 2018 22:01:29
Let’s hope we have massive change all round next season ed025 I cannot see fans putting up with this for much longer! Maybe the board will read the survey lol.

{Ed025's Note - the thing is wakka that whoever comes in has one hell of a job on their hands, there is no easy fix here and the guy will need time and patience from the fans mate..

4.) 23 Apr 2018 22:06:14
Won 9 drawn 6 lost 8 under Sam. 1.4pts a game.

{Ed025's Note - watched 23, entertained in 1(west ham), and missed corrie for that..

5.) 23 Apr 2018 22:12:15
Brilliant Ed!

6.) 23 Apr 2018 22:14:54
Classic ed025 but spot on!

7.) 23 Apr 2018 22:16:20
Schneiderlin was okay rather than effective, strange that the bloke has only started playing anywhere near his true form since we have been virtually safe. For a so-called top player, for me that is deplorable. As others have said Allardyce has not had a lot to work with but imo since becoming mathematically safe, the bloke should at least have experimented and again imo, looking at the 45 points we have now, I am certain Unsworth would have done just as well if not better. We know Baningwe for instance has immense potential as do many of our U23's. Here is hoping Moshri has delivered the message tonight most of us hope he has.

8.) 23 Apr 2018 22:44:32
Has nothing to work with?
He's bleated on about having too big a squad. If he tried not of them he might have hit a winning formula.
Sometimes it's about building a team not relying on the safe option.

9.) 24 Apr 2018 07:59:40
I'm afraid I'm still in the Scheiderlin out camp. He might of put together a run of 2-3 half decent games (and I mean only half decent games- he's not been a game changer) but where was he the rest of the season? I expect at least effort and commitment from the players and he's been missing for too many games.
Hopefully his improvement will mean we can get a bit more for him when we sell him but I don't trust him for next season - let him disappoint somewhere else.

10.) 24 Apr 2018 09:11:09
Scheiderlin was the most effective player on the park controlled the pace of the game broke up their attacks really well. When he went off we lost control invited more pressure and struggled in getting the ball back and when we did lost it pretty much straight away. I can see why the managers keep playing him as he is the best at what he does. Should never have sold Barry when we did as he was a very similar player. Having said that the football we played was very very dull.

11.) 24 Apr 2018 10:24:22
First half was awful. I felt nothing. Nothing at all good or bad. I may aswell been a rock or a stone.

07 Apr 2018 13:20:01
Best opportunity in years to win a derby but we are yet again one paced to slow and sitting to deep!
Why oh why do we not use Walcott more?
Rooney and Schneiderlin no effect on the game, we again look clueless and devoid of any confidence!

1.) 07 Apr 2018 14:43:55
Thought Morgan played better myself.

2.) 07 Apr 2018 15:01:06
He was at least as anomalous as the rest GB which is a vast improvement on most of his performances.

3.) 07 Apr 2018 15:02:35
Same here Guernsey far better than Bolasie who was awful.

4.) 07 Apr 2018 15:19:50
Can't argue with that Lee.

5.) 07 Apr 2018 15:22:12
defo Lee mate.

25 Feb 2018 11:10:47
Although results are what we need, I think the bigger issue is the nature of our performances. We set up yesterday and looked like a team that were there for just one result a shutout and a draw! In fact just before they scored his intent was to bring on Schneiderlin and shore up the defence for the last few minutes. He then had to abandon that once they scored, however the problem then was the lacklustre response to conceding that goal.
I want to give SA support and know he is here until the end of the season, however again I see no difference in the player's attitude, body language and commitment to the club since RK was here. The tactics are not dissimilar and he is just repeating the same mistakes, we are afraid to lose and look like we have no idea how to respond to going behind in away games! We do not play with enough attacking intent, we are unbalanced in the team set up and as we used to say when RM was in charge we have no plan B!
Our recruitment policy has been totally mismanaged, you can blame SW, the manager and the board but someone made the decision and someone authorised it! How can we have ÂŁ25m players not even on the bench?
This summer needs a complete overhaul, the board must take good advice and as we supposedly have a long term plan then maybe review that, because if Spurs were criticised for misspending the Bale money, we have been ten times worse with our new found wealth!

{Ed025's Note - i agree wakka mate..

1.) 25 Feb 2018 13:20:14
Part of it is, we try to keep the game tight for 20 minutes to silence the home crowd but then look to shut up shop after 70 minutes. when the game is getting stretched that is the time to exploit teams.
So essentially we only have half a game of football to be on the front foot.

24 Feb 2018 19:24:26
Yet another bore fest, 5 shots 1 on target how on earth do we expect to win games with stats like that.
Very poor! Just really want this season to be over and start again!

1.) 24 Feb 2018 19:41:44
We play for draws Wakka. And so invite pressure. We have the ability to make crap teams look good, and it ain't going to change.

2.) 24 Feb 2018 19:50:50
To top it all off Allardyce has just referred to Michael keane as William Keane. He doesn’t even know the players’ names.

3.) 24 Feb 2018 21:23:35
Was frustrated because he was going to bring on Schneiderlin just before they scored obviously to play out for a draw!
No attacking intent I wonder if Walcott wonders what he got himself into!

4.) 24 Feb 2018 19:42:40
With a new manager!

I wouldn't worry at this time we don't even have a manager yet and Brands doesn't officially start till the first!
But the journalists will still be busy in the meantime!

I would not expect many posters on here to give him any credit but he did well, and also played an attacking line up at home something we've not seen to often over the last couple of years!

Howe left Bournemouth once before and failed at Bolton, he reminds me of RM, so be careful what you wish for.
Personally we should be looking for a more proven manager but we are hunting in a very difficult arena.

So why has he not had success at Newcastle or anywhere else since he departed anfield? What makes you think he is the right man for Everton?
Why not Rodgers?

Is this the same Mr Liverpool Rafa that has them in his heart, won the champions league with them and seemingly blighted his reputation with Evertonians when he branded us a 'Small Club'?

Dzeko the wrong side of 30 we really need to start freshening up the squad with some younger players, highly unlikely Palace would swap Zaha for Bolasie!

I personally think Sam knows he won't be staying, I think the contract was to give an illusion of longer term status instead of his usual fire fighting job.
Why I think this is that whenever you see him interviewed he seems distant to the club and its fans, you never feel a togetherness or a feeling of passion for the club unlike DM or even RM did.
For me he is just passing has done the job and will be gone, ask yourself about the alleged questionnaire situation was it a mistake?
The club know he is not widely accepted by the fans and although it is not our decision EFC normally will take this consideration seriously.
