Elvis reckoned he'll be announced soon. Working on personal terms.

Formal bid gone in for Bellanova, a RB from Atlanta.

If we can sign a proper right back, which Bellanova is, and a decent number 9, we can all begin to look forward to the season. Still, business to do after that, you'd hope, but that must be the priority.

Window starting to look good now.

I thought that Bellanover is a wing-back, not that I know the difference. Does a wing-back play instead of a right-back or in front of a right-back? Sorry, I am 86, much easier in my day when every team played 1-2-3-5.

Wing back is a full back who bombs forward. A bit like Baines and Coleman in their prime.

04 Jul 2026 19:50:09
Basically an attacking right back, Mike, something we haven't seen our full backs do for some time. I get confused now when I see full backs overlap wingers for other teams.

04 Jul 2026 20:13:47
Thanks, in that case we need a wing-back, I want to see us bombing forward, preferably with the ball, just don't pass it to any center-forward with a surname starting with "B"!

I always thought a full back played in a back 4 and a wing back played in front of a back 3 on the left or right?

Not mad at all about that, to be honest.

2

04 Jul 2026 15:36:04
He will be a deadline day signing I reckon, depending on who else we bring in.

2

04 Jul 2026 15:48:21
You could be spot on there, Ron, mate.

04 Jul 2026 15:55:01
"Will he stay or will he go?" One of the biggest "who cares" rumours ever seen on here.

4

04 Jul 2026 17:22:23
Very true BM, 😆 just can't see him starting there they have Pedro Jackson will be back from Bayern and I'm sure they signed a young forward and he will be joining up with them this season so he would be 4th choice. Dead line loan deal. And, I'm with most on here, I don't want him.

Tyrique George transfer all but done, fee agreed between both clubs, player now looking to agree personal terms, expect an announcement soon.

04 Jul 2026 07:10:13
Sort of reminds me of Steven Pienaar does George now we need to sign a Bainsey type left back.

2

04 Jul 2026 07:31:25
Good news, mate.

3

04 Jul 2026 15:58:21
Suspect we will spend the first half of next season complaining about strikers, then stumble on George as CF, and all will be well in the world!

He has played there.

A new rumour of a player were where interested in a year or two ago El Bilal Toure do you know much about him bluenose?

1

03 Jul 2026 23:26:21
I remember El Bilal Toure from when we were linked with him before. He's basically a powerful, direct forward who can play off the left or through the middle. Proper quick, strong in the press, and he loves running in behind. He's not one of those fancy wingers who stands out wide and does stepovers, he's more of a wide forward who drives straight at defenders and gets himself into good scoring positions.

Strength wise, he's rapid, physical, works hard, wins a lot of duels and he's decent in the air as well. He's good at carrying the ball and he's always looking to attack space. Weakness wise, he's not the most clinical finisher and his decision making can be a bit hit and miss, but he still causes loads of problems just through how direct he is.

With the squad we've got now, Dibling on the right, George drifting inside and Ndiaye more of a technical link player than with Rohl, Hackney, KDH and Garner, who can all sit behind them, he actually fits the one gap we've still got. We don't really have a proper left sided runner who can stretch teams and give us that pace and power down that side. Ndiaye's more of a creator and George and Dibling are better on the right.

Toure would basically give us that explosive LW option we're missing. Someone who can press, run channels, and give the forwards more space to work. He'd add a different dimension to the front line. So yeah, he'd fit our current setup a lot better than he would've a couple of years ago.

It isn't actually a new one for us, Toffebwoy1, not in this window at least, mate.

We were linked with him about 3 years ago when we had DCL, Maupay and Simms to choose from up top.

The lad had scored 7 in about 20 games for Almeria. He would have been around 20 then, so that always gets hyped up at that age.

I remember having a good look at him back then and not really seeing what all the fuss was about. Pacey, yes, but erratic in front of goal and didn't appear like a decent footballer. Needless to say, we missed out on him and he went to Atalanta as Hojlund's replacement and stunk the place out. In his defence, he did suffer a pretty serious injury in his first Serie A game for them and was out until the New Year.

He then moved to Stuttgart, where again he put up identical numbers in terms of goals, with 2, and he suffered a reoccurring foot injury, limiting him to 11 appearances.

That takes us to last season where he went out on loan to Besiktas. He managed double the games and double the goals.

Italian clubs are notoriously difficult to deal with when it comes to transfers, so there is no chance that he will leave for cheap, especially when Atalanta made him their record signing. Even though he has done everything he can to destroy his value, they will still be looking to recoup most of that.

It is a huge no from me, mate. He can't cut it in the lesser leagues, so he doesn't have a hope in hell to flourish in the PL.

Don't think we've had Optimum and BN disagree in the past..

It's a no from me.

04 Jul 2026 11:51:54
I get where BN is coming from. His career's definitely stalled since that Almeria spell and the injuries haven't helped him at all. I'm not pretending he's been flying, because he hasn't.

My point was more about profile than pedigree. We've finally built a squad where a player like him actually fills a gap rather than being another random punt. Back when we had DCL, Maupay and Simms, he'd have been a weird fit. Now, with Dibling, George, Ndiaye, and the midfield we've put together, we're missing that one thing, a left-sided runner who stretches teams, presses hard, and gives us proper pace in behind.

That's the only reason I said he'd make more sense now than he did then. Not that he's a guaranteed success story, just that his style is something we don't currently have.

Whether he's the right player to fill that role is a different debate entirely, and fair play, his numbers and injury record don't exactly scream "safe bet". But the type of forward he is? That's still something we're lacking.

Ueda getting heavily linked with us again.

03 Jul 2026 18:22:31
I've seen El Bilal Toure and Nakamura being mentioned a few times.

03 Jul 2026 19:58:51
I remember when there were a few fuming gentlemen on here when we missed out on him. He is worse than the Chuckle Brothers.

03 Jul 2026 20:12:04
Spends most of his time injured, hopefully, we are moving on from this sort of thing.

03 Jul 2026 16:17:15
Tom Davies on a free anyone?

2

03 Jul 2026 16:37:27
Wouldn't take him if they paid us 10 million to have him.

1

03 Jul 2026 22:11:26
If we needed a new kit man's apprentice, maybe..

Not sure how much truth, if any, there is in this one, my fellow Evertonians.
Everton in farcical scenario as FA stand in way of £21m Mandela Keita transfer.

03 Jul 2026 14:50:33
It comes from the Italian press, who are notoriously far from the truth when it comes to football transfers.

1

03 Jul 2026 16:49:53
Sounds proper bulls*** tbh.

1

03 Jul 2026 17:10:34
The FA definitely have something against us.

03 Jul 2026 12:55:20
Reading that we have 7 first Team players who are in their final year of contract, going to be a busy window, these include Alcaraz, Beto and Keane.

2

03 Jul 2026 13:05:29
Be worth selling them for a fee now then.

3

03 Jul 2026 17:11:07
Tim is 1 as well.

Breaking news! Barry has been loaned to St Helens for the Magic weekend. Apparently he's going to be the goal kicker for the extra points. St Helens coach said he's a natural at putting it over the bar.
