Random thoughts.

Keep Aznou. He needs to play on the left wing and not a left back

Keep Armstrong. Direct, amazingly confident for his age. Could save us a bunch on buying Jack.

2 strikers up top looked promising, but not B and B. Barry a lot better with the ball in space than I thought.

No one stunk it up on the pitch, if you think how many starters we are down, and no strong RB.

Does the U-12 team have a penalty kick clinic?

Whoever was the commentator on ESPN, he was wearing his Sunderland pajamas.

Not too broken about the loss, it let's us focus on the remaining 18 games, and will allow us to play some youth (I buy a few pints for DM and see if he will sign off on that idea) .

We should of given a better account of ourselves at home. In 1st half Sunderland had 87% possession against us at one point. Weak team. yes but these are players who came to us as 1st team players at their previous clubs. So to play as badly as they did is no excuse. Best players for us were Harrison and Adzou.

Sunderland just dominated us from the opening. We hardly had the ball for the first 15 minutes. I know we have had a discussion about this before but just sitting back and allowing the opposition to dominate is a recurring aspect of this Moyes system and tactic if you can call it a tactic.
When we get the ball we seem to lose it quickly with sloppy passes, a boot up the field or get beaten when one-on-one.


Teams like Sunderland or even Wolves come to our home and show us how to pass to one another.
I don't know what they do in training, it's obviously not passing, ball control, taking penalty kicks or scoring goals.

It was a stupid red BN.

He knows the rules; he broke them. It was daft as no one was gaining no advantage so there wasn’t even the excuse of preventing a goal.

In the bigger picture, he’s also added to our depth of squad crisis. Only positive from all this, for me, is O’Brien will play CB. That frees up someone to play RB who is more suited.

The thing is mate, the rules state that you should only be sent off if it is off the ball. That is the written law. That does not take away from how stupid it was.

Well we let Simms go (who wasn't great but could score goals) and we bring in Beto and Barry. Question:Are either of them any better than Simms? I don't believe they are and truly belive that 45m could have been better spent on two full backs.

So we’re playing Wolves and we all know kickford likes launching it up the pitch. So might it not be a good idea to play two upfront? I know yesterday was a bit of a Hail Mary go, but both players did score.
We can’t keep persisting with this lone striker tactic it just doesn’t work.

People hammering DCL when he played it but look how he's fairing at Leeds under a different system.
My other point is teams are wise now to the fact that if they drop the ball in our six yard box from a corner then they have a very good chance of scoring. That has to get sorted.
