Can’t see it myself, GB.

26 May 2024 17:00:21
It’s just another name eh mate we will
Be linked with loads of players.

26 May 2024 17:53:28
With Leeds not getting back in the Premiership I can see Harrison wanting to be with us this coming season as well.

26 May 2024 17:55:59
Minteh from Newcastle with DCL as part of a deal hmmmm is another one.

26 May 2024 18:15:03
It's truly started. 1 minute ed002 is telling us the crisis the clubs in, the next Newsnow is linking us to anyone. Thanks for info GB but I won't be believing any of it.

26 May 2024 20:14:24
I can see us making a move for Harrison, either another loan or permanent. SD likes gim, he can be frustrating at times but he is a 100% effort player.

{Ed025's Note - he does give 100% Swinners but hes all left foot playing on the right, i dont really get that mate..

26 May 2024 21:23:30
99%of players mentioned will never play for Everton.

26 May 2024 21:18:47
We had the same issue with McNeil when we first signed him Ed. He played all season on the right and was terrible. Moved him to the left and he started getting results.

Harrison was bagging 8 goals a season on his preferred side. Don’t get me wrong, a PL level footballer shouldn’t see such a vast drop off on the opposite flank.

27 May 2024 08:42:15
Good point BlueNose mate.

27 May 2024 10:34:33
Harrison is a grafter with no end product. We need more than just grafters going forward. If we are going to continue playing this system then we need wide men with pace and the ability to beat a man and cross a ball.

27 May 2024 11:02:32
"if we are going to continue to play this system" er sorry ? m a well published anti SD poster yet I do have to ironically question that last posts point. Harrison is exactly the type SD wanted. A hard working defensively astute winger who can have a high attempted cross stats. It's not been about quality but about being solid. I needless to say am not a Harrison fan either but to the shame of EFC how many years has RW been a criminally poorly recruited position? He's definitely not someone who will lead us to a title or European qualification but he is very good at contributing to our ridiculously strong defence. If we lose you know who to balance the books then we will need to keep him. And should be cheaper this season! I'd have him back for what should be the last desperate season before a glimmer of daylight reappears over our club again.

27 May 2024 11:58:39
Hard working defensive winger. What is that? A wingers should be looking to attack the opposition, otherwise just play another defender.
And I will say it again. If we are continue playing this system of sitting back and trying to hit teams on the break, then we need pace out wide. Not a defensive winger.
Not a Harrison fan but you would have him back, yea that makes sense.

27 May 2024 12:02:38
Maybe we should play a defensive striker with two defensive wingers and just play for 0-0’s every game?.

27 May 2024 12:42:50
He literally scored the same amount of goals as McNeil but on his weaker flank.

He scored 4 less (2 less if you remove pens) than our "star" striker that everyone says is integral to us.

Play him on the left and he would be our top scorer in the league.

The s*** he gets is brilliant!

27 May 2024 16:27:15
Maybe our "star" striker as you put it would score more if he had wide men who could cross a ball. And by moving him to the other wing is no guarantee he would get more goals.
But hey i"m obviously dealing with experts here, so I will say no more on the subject.

{Ed025's Note - im with you brass..

27 May 2024 17:18:15
Maybe he would score more goals if he finished the big chances he actually gets as well. You talk as if he has the same prowess as Dunc or Cahill in the air. Yes, he may have a fantastic spring but that doesn’t translate to accuracy and goals.

Guarantees don’t tend to exist in football but if you look at his historical numbers in the same league then the likelihood is that he would, just as was the case with McNeil after he got moved to his favoured side. You could also expect more crosses from Harrison as he wouldn’t have to constantly check back on to his left peg to deliver.

Doesn’t take an expert to work that out but hey I guess some people understand the game more than others.

27 May 2024 20:20:08
For 70k a week I would expect him to at least be able to kick the ball with both feet. I have watched him all season and still don’t recall him ever going past a man?
I guess some people just like players who run around a lot?.

27 May 2024 22:53:05
2 of his 3 assists this season came from crosses with his right foot. 1 against Palace and 1 against Forest. Most players have a favoured side and his numbers would be much higher on the opposite flank. Our players struggle to score goals full stop and you are worrying about them being both footed.

I would sooner have a player that runs about, puts the effort in and contributes with a few goals and assists, than a player who is lazy and lacks commitment and puts up the same numbers.

You speak as though we have goals and creativity across the whole side.

28 May 2024 08:13:45
No we don’t so let’s sign another who produces little, but hey he defends well.

28 May 2024 12:44:31
Let Harrison go back to his parent club, he hasn't done anything to suggest he will help to move us forward, especially if they want 20-30m for him. Checks back after beating his man four times yet delivers very little. Should he be able to cross the ball with his weaker foot? Absolutely, yet he doesn't seem to trust himself to do it. We need to use the loan market more wisely this season, there must be some right wingers available in the market that can actually play on the right wing.

28 May 2024 12:45:00
That defence was a huge factor for us staying in the league.

I have a better idea, play him in his best position and watch his creativity improve.

28 May 2024 14:23:40
Waste of a loan signing if he is going to play second fiddle to McNeil, we can bolster other positions instead of loaning him again.

28 May 2024 15:47:25
I would move McNeil inside tbh. He naturally drifts in the central areas anyway. His work rate and pressing is the same, if not better than Doucoure but he has a better footballing brain and technique to support Dom. Douc's no spring chicken.

28 May 2024 18:30:16
Makes sense, BN, but I can't see SD doing that in all honesty mate. Seems to like DM on the wing and Doucs down the middle. You never know, his hand might be forced at some point.

28 May 2024 19:48:25
You are probably right mate, he does seem very set in his ways as we saw last season. He rarely changes things.
