WTF is wrong with Moshiri and/ or who is pulling his strings. According to Masters Moshiri has indicated he wants to continue talks with 777. Something isn't right about all of this.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah it stinks, something is seriously not right about this.

14 May 2024 19:51:38
May 31 st new date for 777 takeover according to reports.

14 May 2024 19:52:39
Or to step away from the sensationalism. He has told them they have a little over 2 weeks to prove they can get it done or he ends their exclusivity. It really is the funny season ?.

14 May 2024 20:19:22
Someone's being paid off, he has extended the deadline again till the end of the month I think this maybe the third time the deadlines been extended. What is the point in setting a deadline in the first place.

{Ed025's Note - its all a bit underhand for my liking Shakey..

14 May 2024 21:17:26
FBS yes mate just repeating what Masters reportedly told Parliament.

14 May 2024 21:41:31
Moshiri has probably been promised a price from 777 that they can’t pay and no one else will match. He is likely wanting to recoup as much money as he can - I doubt he cares much for whoever takes over. The highest bidder wins.

14 May 2024 22:32:50
Despite all his so called intentions, he only ever saw us a commodity he could buy and sell at a profit. I hope he ends up out of pocket big style.

14 May 2024 23:41:30
"FM was expected to terminate the deal but it's now clear that hasn't happened as he is contractually committed to the end of this month before he can officially terminate the exclusivity period agreement with 777. The likely hood of 777 rescuing the deal are remote due to various legal problems that have arisen recently". Fear not this is just part of the process. Nothing to see here.

15 May 2024 00:11:43
From what is being reported nothing has been extended with 777 as allegedly 31st May was always the deadline.

Sounds like the reporting regarding the extension could be PR spin from 777.

With all the negative stories around 777 no one in their right mind would extend the deal so I’m happy to believe it’s just clickbait and pr spin from 777.

15 May 2024 03:16:57
I just hope that Moshiri and the other investors are working right now to have a plan in place for this, because we cannot have another bad window.

15 May 2024 08:54:11
I've read the same, there is a time line when it can be cancelled and the end of the month it should be, hopefully ended and we can move on, my probelm is who is going to take us on and why would they with everything that's going on, how much dept we are in, what incentives would they have aparts from ripping us apart and selling us off piece by piece and then how does that help us, nobody in the right mind is buying us as we are, our owner needs to lower the price, give someone a chance to come in and make us a better club, as we are right now I just can't see how that can happen, I mean will one new stadium make that much money, if it can why haven't spurs or west ham been doing that with there new stadiums.

15 May 2024 09:28:20
It was always the 31st May. We are on a runaway train, the tunnel is fast approaching and who knows what’s on the other side?

15 May 2024 12:44:30
Reading between the lines and the constant sensationalist reporting surrounding our club, this is simply a deadline for 777 to prove they have the cash. This seems doubtful. The more promising reference in the reports is that other parties are lined up to step in. Let's hope this is true.

{Ed002's Note - The relevance of the date is nothing to do with having to complete the takeover - it is a date by which the debt to MSP must be paid else they will take control of the assets - the new stadium. 777 want two of the MSP investors to join their bid and ease some of the debt owed to MSP. They will trade shares in the club, the stadium and will let them have the two seats on the board promised to MSP. Rights and Media Funding blocked the prior attempt for MSP investment as the debt Everton owe to them is secured against other assets the club has (e.g. Goodison Park). 777 Partners have screwed Standard Liege and that should be enough for the Premier League, FA and the Financial Conduct Authority to reject them as owners. The problem Moshiri has is the size of the debts owed to 777 Partners now, not being able to pay the debts to MSP & Rights and Media Funding and where to get the money to complete the stadium. The other concern he has is the time it would take a new bidder to gain agreement from the PL, FA and FCA - hence wanting to push on with 777 Partners. The answer will perhaps be to agree with those owed money to restructure all of the debt in exchange for interest payments whilst the debts are cleared. This would likely involve selling the new stadium and renting it back.}

MSP would be a good call. Good post from ED002, well explained. I know it is probably the great unknown (never going to know) but can all Moshiris incompetence really be put down to his 'advisor (s) ', did a certain other individual really clear the scene after 2022.

{Ed002's Note - His neighbour in Monaco certainly advised on transfers. But those running the club on a day-by-day basis, rather than Moshiri, should have been understanding how serious the situation was. Moshiri looked for a quick sale or investment to head off a personal issue.}

15 May 2024 18:08:23
Cheers Ed, doesn’t seem like any of this will be sorted quickly.

15 May 2024 18:58:14
Only Everton can build a new stadium and not end up owning it! What is the point then as we get none of the financial benefits might as well stay in the old lady and let the new stadium owners do what they want with it as the rent will be another cost we don’t need when we already own a stadium with no cost rental cost associated! Least then we get to keep all Matchday income!

15 May 2024 19:35:00
It is dropping to bits the cost of maintenance is prohibitive. The ground and owned surrounds will either be sold or assets seized by creditors (at a guess) .

15 May 2024 23:39:33
Shouldn't have rebuffed the councils offer of funding for the build.

16 May 2024 07:16:23
In hindsight it could have led to bigger problems FBS, given the Governments intervention in yet another Councils inability to deliver.
