Suggestion on Sky Transfer Centre that Malcom on his way to Zenit.
Surely they are not offering more than Everton?
Or maybe we have another iron in the fire?

Either way, still need a wide man to go ( hopefully ) alongside Kean and Richarlison.

Then we can move onto CB, CDM and RB.

They’re not always right Dave.

2.) 31 Jul 2019 00:14:42
Id go all out for Neres might be wishful thinking but the lad looks class an fits the brands mould, have we been linked with a RB recently?

3.) 31 Jul 2019 10:37:24
JBToffee - get that mate, hence the word 'suggestion'.
Be a strange one for me though if he did go there after links to so many top European clubs (Western Europe) .
Don’t know that much about any of the linked wingers TBF - so, who SHOULD we be after?
Malcom, Neres, Lozano or Another?

Touchy, Dave.
Just meant that nothing is done, until it’s done. If we were mad keen on Malcolm, it would look like he’s there for the taking. We must have other targets in mind. Neither Gomes or Digne were expected, so let’s hope Brands has a few surprises in mind. Neres seems unlikely unfortunately.

Told yesterday that the club has an extensive list of players they are looking at this summer and that we are likely to spend big.
With the FFP hanging over City for next season there is every chance that 5th will be enough for CL and Farhad wants us to go all out for it.

We certainly seem to be getting linked to the right players and I can see problems at United, Chelsea and Arsenal - so not beyond realms of possibility we can finish above a couple of them. Fingers crossed.

here's hoping we can do it pal.

2.) 28 Jun 2019 15:10:06
Well let’s hope it’s not too big or we will fall foul of FFP ourselves especially given we have a lot of players to move on and will take a number of hits on them so won’t be getting funds in that way to balance the books.

3.) 28 Jun 2019 15:48:27
I agree I think top 4 is as open as it’s ever been Man City Liverpool are way ahead but like you said problems for a lot of clubs and bear in mind spurs lost 20 games in all comps last year and still finished top 4 and champions league final, we look as though we have a direction for the first time, recruitment looks to be right under Brands and Marco.
11/ 1 for top 4 is not bad odds.

4.) 29 Jun 2019 14:22:42
16/ 1 with Ladbrokes for top 4. May throw few quid on that.

5.) 02 Jul 2019 10:35:57
16/ 1! Rotton odds I would want at least 25/ 1 to take a risk lol.

6.) 02 Jul 2019 11:27:27
It's nice to dream but we won't finish top 4 next season. I just can't see it happening. Yeah teams above aren't in a great position but teams around us are. There is a lot more comitition in the league than just the teams that finished in the top 6. Realistically there are 9 teams going for the top 4 and 6.

With the negativity on here no wonder Goodison is toxic at times.
We are quite aware that we have struggled this season but does anyone actually bother considering that;
We lost Gana and his replacement has not yet been fully fit
We lost Zouma and didn’t replace him - that was not down to Silva
Gomes has missed half our games
We brought in a forward who in reality may be our future but is not quite our present. Again not Marcos fault.
Add to that the fact that with injuries and the previous make up of the squad he has not been able to field his preferred formation at any time.

Silva was the choice of many. It was roundly accepted when he came in that due to the cock ups previously there was a massive change needed with the squad. But after just 12 months with a greatly reduced squad in terms of numbers and some increase in quality, we are looking to change again.
Who would come?
How long would they get before the whining started?

The style of football has improved greatly from Koeman and Fat SAM.
Let’s give Marco a chance to get his own squad and team together.

Not a case of overstocking Worcester.
If Marco plays his preferred 4-3-3 formation then, IF we signed Doucoure I suspect that 3 would be him, Gbamin and Gomes.
Delph, Davies and Morgan - if he stays - would be back up.
Two players for each position. Just what you need.

There is NO buy back option.
Brands has done fantastic business here and for far less than SSN reporting.

A potentially top, top player who the likes of Ed002 intimated we had little chance of getting - and at a bargain fee too.

For those criticising the timing of the signing please stop your whining. I’m sure the club would have loved to get the players in quicker but unfortunately we are not first choice for the real top players. So we have to bide our time.

Let’s have some positivity just for once blues. This window is starting to be a real game changer.

Unfortunately he is one of those who think the world revolves around him. He was only ever interested in HIM. Yes he scores goals but the team spirit and work ethic is so much better without him. DCL is not yet the answer but the lad gives so much more to the team than Rom ever did. Big NO from me.
