Szmodics is definitely someone who seems to be a natural finisher but again we probably won't be the best placed club of the many who'll be sniffing around the guy. And if we do get him then we'll probably destroy him by playing him the EFC way and starving him of service and expect him to "put a shift in" whatever the **** that means for a striker.

Waste of money. Flash in the pan season.
If you look at the previous strikers that have bagged similar numbers in the championship and then come to the PL and flopped, they are aplenty.
At 5ft 6 as well, doesn’t have the right profile for our side at all.
Would definitely prefer to look for a cheaper alternative in Europe.

Don't forget we kicked the can down the road with Beto so in terms of expenditure he is basically another transfer this off season - not sure how it impacts P&S though, assume it does though otherwise why would we have done it that way.

Raiding Europe hasn’t gone well for us in recent years so I think we will need to raid the Championship for young hunger players. If we can mix them in with our older, more experienced players, we could have a decent squad.
Or we will build a side to challenge in the Championship the season after….
