If m/ brough miss out on promotion, and they want Besic, might be a deal to be had with Gibson, not flashey, but sound consistant and very efective.
Plus, if we want a back up target man, I would take Rondon from WBA, not a great goals to games record, but great hold up player to bring others in, and givern his reported release amount, a bargain givern some of the crazy money for strikers.

1.) 13 May 2018 12:04:21
I'd go for Adama Traore from Boro. He's been on fire this season. Been motm 13 times out of last 15 games I think. London is affective at holding the ball up, good at heading and can score. His hold up play against us was very good. Would he hold up DLC's progress or not though.

2.) 13 May 2018 16:56:43
IMO should be looking ahead of Gibson, still prefer Mawson with Williams going back to Swansea as part of the deal.

3.) 14 May 2018 07:43:33
Not sure that even a relegated Swansea would want Williams after this season.

4.) 14 May 2018 10:40:04
I wonder what transfer fee Everton would want for Besic - and how much Middlesbrough would be prepared to, pay (especially if they’re not promoted) ? Perhaps another season’s loan with an option to buy at the end?

12 Jan 2018 01:16:22
I know there are a number of priorities, but, if Shaw from unt is an option, I would snatch their hands off.

1.) 12 Jan 2018 09:30:46
Kurzawa all day long for me. PSG have said he's available for a reported 20 million as they need to balance the books in order to comply with FFP. Young, pacy, good defensive, good on the ball and French international. 20 million isn't that much nowadays. But coukd we attract him?

2.) 12 Jan 2018 11:26:47
Great shout there kingo, but couldn't really see him coming to us as there are a few teams needing left backs.

03 Jan 2018 03:43:54
Strange one, but here goes, understand unt offered Shaw plus cash, for Barkley, don't know if it has real substance or not!

1.) 03 Jan 2018 06:30:03
I’d take it then “forget” to take Shaw to Finch Farm.

2.) 03 Jan 2018 09:52:57
I’d try to get him on loan. We’ve played united twice so will have him for every possible game between now and the end of the season.

3.) 03 Jan 2018 12:18:40
playing for united now so possible they won't be letting him go this window, they have an option to trigger a one year extension on his contract also so no rush to sell, only chance I can really see of this going through is if they bought another left back as they would not leave themselves short on such a position (unlike a certain club that plays in blue)

18 May 2018 22:39:29
The transfer window opens early, closes early, and we have the world cup in between, their is simply not time to buger about with watford, silver was an option but their are many other good candidates, let's move on and pick one, or get left with the dreges, paying over the top for players that no other top club wants.

1.) 19 May 2018 09:05:08
It's not about just getting someone else, get Silva signed sod Watford and get on with the job, what will be with Watford will be, that won't change even if we signed someone else, this has been going on for months behind the scenes, Watford are just taking the piss, they were offered money but now want even more, which to be honest is totally wrong, they sacked him and that's nothing to do with us, yes there form slipped but that's due to the players as well, we weren't in control of what they did, all sounds abit of sour grapes as we have now got him for nothing, it's sounds like they did what ever we are supposed to have done to Watford they did to hull, so will be intresting to see the out come, if silva comes to us and obvously has given information about what watford did to hull, sounds like watford could be playing with fire, our chiarmen isn't a mug and i'm sure they no where they stand, he won't put us in a situation where we will be fined and deducted points. but maybe he feels after supposedly offering 12million and having that rejected that the FA may fine us a lot less and it's better going threw them.

2.) 19 May 2018 19:43:40
Our DOF will be sorting things JCW. I am sure he is talking to Silva too.

18 May 2018 12:24:57
Whoever we get as a manager, I Will give my 100% support, but could we please go for one with a track record of winning things, rather than yet another one with a track record for getting relegated from the prem.

1.) 18 May 2018 13:05:38
He has 1 relegation on his record and won more in other leagues. He doesn't exactly have a record of failure. Don't even think Pep, Wenger or Mourinho would of kept hull up.

2.) 18 May 2018 13:05:49
Silva it is then?

3.) 18 May 2018 14:38:04
Totally agree with you jcwblue. He's won trophys yes a cup in Portugal and a league in Greece where the football is that poor I reckon I'd get a game myself. The only thing we can judge him on is what he's done in the premier league where's sorry to say he's a proven failure.

4.) 18 May 2018 15:10:49
As we say all to frequently, you can only beat what's in front of you. He won the Portugese cup with Portugese level resources and the Greek league with Greek level resources. His teams were at the level they were and he won trophies.
My support for any manager is contingent on him showing that there is a reasonable plan to improve the team in both results and performances. I think all fans can take set backs if they see that things are going in the right direction.

5.) 18 May 2018 16:36:54
I am not a fan of Silva but I will support him as I supported Sam because whoever is manager we should support out team through the good and the bad.
This is at least for 75% of the season then we will see how the new manager is doing.
I do not expect miracles as long as we move in the right direction.

6.) 18 May 2018 20:14:08
Silva took over a Hull team that was going so n and they went down. Benitez took over a Newcastle team that was going down and they went down. Not much difference from what I can see. Granted Benitez has managed at bigger clubs, but Madrid had all the money in the world and he was hardly strapped for cash at Liverpool. Silva's has success abroad with teams in more competitive leagues with a lesser budget. I’d take either.

7.) 18 May 2018 23:30:57
I have to say it's slightly embarrassing for the people giving Silva grief for getting relegated with Hull.

Can anyone remember just how close he got them from being miles away? And some of the teams they faced? And beat?

If almost go so far as calling you clueless about football.

15 May 2018 13:53:31
Silver's record. Last club, fired afder one win in ten games. Previous club, relegated.
This guy does not fill me with confidance, their are far, far better options out there, if he is appionted, his contract should be loaded with performance condition, which, if not met, means his pay off goes nowhere near what we have had to pay to his three perdeecessors, Martnez, 10m, Koeman, 12m, Sam 6m, let's try learning from our resent past, please.

1.) 15 May 2018 14:21:51
Jesus the guy hasn't even got the job yet it doesn't matter who gets the job we need to support him and of the contract situation or details of have no bearing on how us fans feel it's not us paying him.

2.) 15 May 2018 15:03:52
How about looking abit further back than what he did in the premiership.
He had no real chance with hull an we turned his head when at Watford, if it's Silva brilliant, if it's fonseca brilliant, if it's Benitez brilliant, it will be brilliant who ever comes in, but at least give them a chance to prove they can do it.

13 May 2018 19:42:29
The CEO, out
The chairman, out. (hopfulley)
The manager out, (almost certainley)
The coaching staff, (gone with the manager)
A list of players longer than your arm out.
Ok, it's been a pig of a season, but we live to fight another day (how much of that we have to thank sam for is a discution for another day) but the important thing, is we start with almost a cleane sheet, but also with an owner who has shown his commitment by buying further into the club.
Finally let's not rip into each other, we have a chance to build something great, total comitment behind the owner.

{Ed025's Note - we need to start again jcw, get behind the new manager (if that happens) and give him time, this is not an easy fix at all mate and we as supporters need to show patience and loyalty because i can tell you now it will be a long road, i think if we see commitment and endeavor from the players then that will be a good start and hopefully we can add quality and entertainment along the road..

1.) 13 May 2018 19:59:20
Not sure how you can still think that SA will be retained after this season, Ed. I know it's not confirmed but the writing's on the wall, no?

{Ed025's Note - it may well be hugo but some within the club seem to be happy with the progress under sam, obviously moshiri will make the final decision but nothing is stet in stone yet mate..

2.) 13 May 2018 20:16:09
In danger of being left behind with that mentality. Have a word with them for us, will you?! Haha.

{Ed025's Note - if it were up to me hugo i would be having a word with me steel toe cap boot mate...right up their jaxi,s..

3.) 13 May 2018 20:23:18
Good posts above. long road ahead surely but big Sam was always temporary. An 18 month contract from the beginning makes that obvious. Good times are ahead. The club is progressing, I'm excited for the future. We have some very good young players with additions coming in and retaining some players the future is bright.

4.) 13 May 2018 20:36:29
Think they'd get the message; can always count on you, mate!

5.) 13 May 2018 21:38:08
What worries me is that the ones in the club who like Sam, will like any manager who spends little and saves them from digging deep into their pockets. They need to go if they cannot match the visions of FM. We expect our club to be challenging the top 6 and collecting silverware along the way. FM appears to want the same. Hopefully when he increases his shares things will be better at the top and that wanting to challenge will flow down to the right manager and players.

6.) 13 May 2018 22:31:17
If they can’t see the writing on the wall regards large Samuel I will spray paint it in big bold letters for them!

08 May 2018 11:28:34
MR. E. HOWE, NO NO NO NO NO NEVER, will someone please take kenwight, not out of the club, but certainly out of the desision makeing process, I know we are all suposed to love mr everton, but, over the last 20 years he has turned our club from one of the bigest in the land into an also ran.
Please, in the name of god, stop him from haveing any part in picking the next manager.

1.) 08 May 2018 13:39:01
was we really one of the biggest in the land when he took over?

2.) 08 May 2018 15:22:48
Get your facts right first jcw mate then Chill Out.

3.) 08 May 2018 15:46:21
No Mr (I am a red) Johnson saw to that if I remember well.

4.) 08 May 2018 17:19:41
What is wrong with E. Howe? Young English manager, plays good football, is an Everton fan and is doing as well as one could with a tin pot club like Bournemouth. What size is their ground? 11,000 🤭

Finishes of 16th, 9th and could finish 10th this year. That’s really not bad going.

Silva is a mercenary and I’d be surprised if Fonseca joined.

Viera - Major League experience only
Wenger - passed it
Arteta - massive gamble

Who else?!

Howe and Brands for me 👌🏻.

5.) 08 May 2018 17:39:22
Howe left the south coast once to come up north and got home sick. He could do it again.

6.) 08 May 2018 20:55:13
Kenyan I could not agree more.

7.) 08 May 2018 21:19:09
Nick, sure that's possible but Burnley is no Everton. As Howe is an Everton fan, I think the chances are slim. I really think he'd be good.

8.) 08 May 2018 21:18:25
The party was over when BK arrived.

9.) 08 May 2018 21:21:11
How for me two toffee . if he was foreign they would all want him but because he is English some turn there nose up.

10.) 08 May 2018 22:18:06
I don't see Howe getting into the top 6 to be honest chaps, but admit he is a good coach and deserves a step up. Newcastle, Leicester, West Ham, but not us. I want a continental coach with fresh ideas, european experience, and above all a history of success. Someone who wants to try his hand in the EPL.

11.) 08 May 2018 23:34:38
We need a winner with a winning mentality.

12.) 09 May 2018 07:47:36
I won't knock Kenwright but I'm with Smit on this one.

When Kenwright took over the club was worth nothing. It would have cost us to get rid of the players we had at the time.

Kronke seems content on getting a good financial return on his investment, rather than haveing the ambition to create a great side. Have a mountain cash but seem content to see other scoop up the realy big stars.

Could not agree more, looks like a boy amonst men, had we not had so many problem eleswhere, this would have got more attention, we are cutting our losses eleswhere, and we sould just try to recover as much of the purchase price as we can.

Is there still a deal to be had for the L/ B from Boco Juniors, or has he gone eleswhere, sounded a very good option, or was this another Walsh pipe dream?

most of they above would be great, but, Shaquiri, is very talanted, be also extremly lazy, one good game in five and thinks defending is not in his job description.

The times I have surrgested that Kenwright should, not Leave, but stand down from the desision makeing procsess, I have been slaughtered. Not going to re-run the history of his tenour, (which I have issues with) but surley now the time has come to take a back seat, his sage "wisdom" being sought when needed.
