I know there are a number of priorities, but, if Shaw from unt is an option, I would snatch their hands off.

1.) 12 Jan 2018 09:30:46
Kurzawa all day long for me. PSG have said he's available for a reported 20 million as they need to balance the books in order to comply with FFP. Young, pacy, good defensive, good on the ball and French international. 20 million isn't that much nowadays. But coukd we attract him?

2.) 12 Jan 2018 11:26:47
Great shout there kingo, but couldn't really see him coming to us as there are a few teams needing left backs.

03 Jan 2018 03:43:54
Strange one, but here goes, understand unt offered Shaw plus cash, for Barkley, don't know if it has real substance or not!

1.) 03 Jan 2018 06:30:03
I’d take it then “forget” to take Shaw to Finch Farm.

2.) 03 Jan 2018 09:52:57
I’d try to get him on loan. We’ve played united twice so will have him for every possible game between now and the end of the season.

3.) 03 Jan 2018 12:18:40
playing for united now so possible they won't be letting him go this window, they have an option to trigger a one year extension on his contract also so no rush to sell, only chance I can really see of this going through is if they bought another left back as they would not leave themselves short on such a position (unlike a certain club that plays in blue)

ed25, do you know if baines has gone with the warm weather training group?

{Ed025's Note - i dont know to be honest jcw..

1.) 14 Feb 2018 19:53:18
I bet Tosun has.

2.) 14 Feb 2018 20:00:01
All the deadwood WILL mate.

3.) 14 Feb 2018 21:02:22
Good one Smit. 😉.

4.) 14 Feb 2018 22:02:58
Tosun taking into Sams comments should be having the polar opposite of warm weather training. 6 hrs in a Butchers meat freezer or a half marathon in long johns over in Goose Bay.

5.) 14 Feb 2018 23:08:11
😂😂😂 not hald DFS.

13 Feb 2018 17:30:04
I know haveing a pop at sam is a popular passtime, but useing Tosun as a stick to beat him is really pushing it, read between the lines and it seems he was fusted on sam, rather than being his first pick as a striker, he may be a real asset once fit, word has it from finch farm that he is a great finisher, just not up to perm pace yet. So just a surgustion, perhaps we should start blaming him for the weather, or the failing NHS, or Donald Trump, am sure they are all sams fault.

09 Feb 2018 01:38:56
Defending Sam right now, my not be that popular, the weekends result and performance was indeed woful, however, I think it should be remembered that prior to his arivel, such performances and results had become the norm,
I know we are still not safe, but that was the mans remite when he was brought in, and I think there is every chance he will keep us up, the situation was so bad at the time of his appointment that had we gone for the watford manager we would not just be in the bottom 3, but tailed off last, and if he does keep us up he deserves at least one full season to see what he can do, before the vultures sweep in and attack him on style.

{Ed001's Note - are you sure about that? Only I seem to remember Unsworth was beginning to pick up results even before Allardyce came in.}

1.) 09 Feb 2018 07:35:12
Good post that Mr Allardyce, can I please have a quarter of what your smoking. Silva had Watford playing football and had midfield runners running in behind the striker when he holds the ball up, our striker is that isolated he might as well be on an Arctic expedition! Then again when you persist on playing 2 defense minded midfielders and your most creative midfielder out of position, how do you expect to have these runners from midfield. Attack is the best form of defense, yet our attack is so blunt it couldn't cut butter! I bet you we don't play 2 strikers tomorrow, at home to the bottom side, then come back and laud over the gravy boat.

2.) 09 Feb 2018 08:16:26
I'm baffled how people can still defend him we play the worst football in the league and he comes out with comments such as it's there fault the players have not done what we asked he is a shocking manager.

3.) 09 Feb 2018 07:46:19
Agreed Ed001. He wasn’t needed then and he most definitely isn’t needed now. Paddington Bear could tactically do a better job. Unfortunately DU wasn’t given enough time as manager as the squad 100% wanted to play for the guy. He would have picked up more points than the fraud to date that’s for sure. Say it once and I’ll say it again whoever pointed Sam in the first place needs to give they’re head a wobble. Such a lame panic appointment. Sam Allardyce Out! Let’s at least give these players more marmalade sandwiches to chew on.

{Ed001's Note - that's what I don't understand, Allardyce felt like a panic appointment but you were not in a position for that to be time to panic. It is bizarre.}

4.) 09 Feb 2018 08:15:04
I am with Ed, I thought Unsworth was progressing and soughting the team out.

05 Feb 2018 02:50:41
Jon moss rocks!

28 Jan 2018 02:19:32
News now has us selling Keane, I do hope so, we got conned into paying way over the top, by the rumour that unt were interested.
With the exception of the ageing jags, we do not have a c/ back with any class.
Williams, on his best day, is a jorneyman, Holgate is simply not good enough, at least for a club with top 4 asperiations, and keane has john stones syndrom, thinks he a footballer rather than a defender, trys to play out but always looks like an acident waiting to happen.

1.) 28 Jan 2018 09:13:48
See post above re confidence.

2.) 28 Jan 2018 09:31:03
Keane has been unlucky with injuries and unfortunately not had a run of games with same cb to start a partnership. Holgate will be one of the best cb in the league and has that quality about him like Stones. Unfortunately Zholgate has been overused as a youth player.
Never mind selling him we need another senior player to play alongside him.

We were so bad when he got here, without him we would be in the bottom 3 fighting for our lives, as it is we are in with a fighting chance of geting back into europe, as for style, I take winning rather than getting thumped every week any time.
PS, don't forget this was the man choisen to lead England to the world cup, wiser heads than ours must have seen something in his approch.

and if things don't go that well, he might come back with a better attitude, ie one where he starts to listern to those with more experience. Just a bit to easy to put the blame at sams door if the kid is listening to his agent rather than people with his best interest at heart.

Sorry, but holgate is championship standard, at best, and certainley has no place in a side who aspire to chalange at the top level of the game.
His decision makeing is woful, pace poor, and his passing belongs to a sunday pub side.

Garbutt may not be the long term answer, however, at least in the short term, he has to be a better option than Martina, don't want to kick a guy when he is down, but he is way below the quality required, even when played on the right, to be fair, this is koemans poor judgement, pretty sure the lad himself has givern 100%, simply not prem standard.
