Don't really rate him that highly, nor do I see where I see where he'll fit in but I got a feeling Oxlade-Chamberlain will be ours in the summer. Just a feeling.

1.) 09 Mar 2017 07:56:01
On his day he's unplayable and can't he play both left and right wing? If so it'd be another proven attacking option.

2.) 09 Mar 2017 11:07:28
Not for me.

3.) 09 Mar 2017 14:32:03
Would take him all day based on his character alone. One of the only players to come out of this past couple of grim months for Arsenal, with any credibility.

Works his bollocks off. A new start, with new players and confidence will allow him to push on.

I would take him all day.

Have to be thinking about the squad now, not just the first 11. Even if he didn't start games, having him on the bench to come on, as opposed to Lennon can only be a good thing for Everton.

4.) 09 Mar 2017 22:41:41
I personally think he walks into our starting 11. However I also think there is no chance of him signing for us.

5.) 10 Mar 2017 09:32:30
Cant think of any PL team were the OX wouldn't be a great addition to their squad. Quality player, who I would love to see in EFC colours. Highly unlikely to happen but we can dream.

6.) 10 Mar 2017 13:32:32
Would love to sign him.

7.) 14 Mar 2017 11:41:55
Id take him in a heartbeat. Given a run of games and a little confidence he would be a massive improvement for our starting 11.

05 Feb 2017 00:36:30
In no way am I grumbling about the club, but honestly believe that, in the summer, we keep what we've got right now, sell our senior loans, if we could get a gk, maybe TWO youngish cb, a wide man and striker (and maybe a fullback either side as cover) we are almost there.

That's 7 players (in my opinion) to complete our squad and we are a serious threat again. So very proud to be a blue, really heading in the right direction. (Not getting the rubbish of my mates any more. Haha) Can't see how anyone at the moment can grumble about anything about our club at the minute. UP THE TOFFEES!

1.) 05 Feb 2017 07:40:28
I think it's clear that we need at least one quality, relatively young centre back. We at least need cover for Baines, assuming that Holgate is our cover for Coleman and Galloway is going to be utilised properly as a centre back. Another wide man is a must, and we could do with one striker as we have Mirallas/ Lookman/ Calvert-Lewin as cover for Lukaku if necessary. 4 players seems more reasonable.

I'm probably going to be slated for this but I actually think that Joel could end up being a number one for us. He's only 26, so won't peak for another 5-7 years, and has been impressive every time he's been given an opportunity, save for a shaky first couple of games. He's been great the past month or so, and will only improve with more game time. Might save us £20-30m on a new keeper if we stick with him.

2.) 05 Feb 2017 09:38:38
There's certainly something there with Robles BT and you're right, he is young and will improve. What I like is the fact that it doesn't matter to Koeman whether it's his signing or a previous managers one, as in the case of Robles, if your playing well your in. Even if that is at the expense of one of his own signings.

This manager will do what it takes to win.

3.) 05 Feb 2017 23:53:29
Have to agree blue tommy, Robles may be a very good goalkeeper in the making let's decide at the end of the season.

30 Jan 2017 11:57:53
Thought that has just occurred to me, are there any fees being mention for Gibson and Oviedo? Could possibly see Gibson am being a free (even though he's just signed a contract) but my guess would be Oviedo would conduct a fee wouldn't he?

1.) 30 Jan 2017 12:38:25
I've heard/ read that it would be 4m for Oviedo and 2m for Gibson.

2.) 30 Jan 2017 12:46:58
I read somewhere that it was £4m for Oviedo and £2m for Gibson how true I don't know

3.) 30 Jan 2017 14:13:41
I've heard we don't have to pay any fees to Sunderland :-)

4.) 30 Jan 2017 16:06:21
I know some will laugh at this. Imho if they both stay injury free they will do a job. £6m for 2 players nowadays is basically unheard of.

25 Jan 2017 19:59:14
I think we need a gk, at least 1 cb, lb, lw and striker for me to really compete. Obviously its a large list and can't see us getting people in for all those positions.
Any REALISTIC names bandied around in January for any of these. VDV won't happen ever for that money. Burnley won't sell Keane in Jan and I think the 25m I've heard is too much for him.
Any ideas or stick with what we got and wait until the summer?

{Ed025's Note - a lot will depend on how much we are willing to pay over the odds kingo, clubs know we have money and want players so they will be out to screw us big time, i just hope we dont panic like the late sissiko saga mate..

1.) 25 Jan 2017 20:48:20
Spot on Ed. Dodged a bullet there. No panic buys they have learned their lesson as RK only wants to add quality👍🏿👍🏿

2.) 25 Jan 2017 22:28:18
I would still like Gabbiadini in l, just to give us some attacking options. Other than that I'm happy with what we have.

31 Aug 2016 21:53:19
DnnyGabbidon just told my nan that Messi, Bale and Ronaldo are on there way to Goodison. He wouldn't lie, his 'mates' have already signed for us!

So far everyine seems to be on about expanding our squad, but seems everyone we've been linked to is a replacement rather than an extra.
Sigurdson/ Klaasen for Barkley
Everyone for Lukaku
Dendonker for Barry
Unless we sign 10 (ish) players, which I'd be surprised at, I can't see this big squad at the moment.

05 May 2017 16:49:36
Kelechi Ieanacho anyone if Rom leaves? Supposedly he wants out and a few of the lesser German clubs are interested in him. Admittedly I don't know too much about him (his overall play etc) but he certainly seems to know where the net is.

1.) 05 May 2017 21:04:20
I love Iheanacho. Dunno why, just do. Bring him in whatever the price. Want me new shirt with his name on it.

2.) 06 May 2017 07:53:44
Yeah I have to say I do like him too. He can certainly score goals.

3.) 06 May 2017 08:52:21
He would be right at the top of my list. He scores goals. Not many spectacular but he's always in the right place at the right time and he hits the target. He will be a top top striker given games. He hasn't had a proper chance at City. I know a few City fans who all love him and really want him to be playing more. Sign him up if he's available.

24 Mar 2017 19:38:59
Absolutely disgusting. Ireland should be fined now, just as everton would be punished for not releasing a fit player!

15 Mar 2017 22:50:28
Not just panicking on the "Rom Latest Panic", but can anyone see a way back next year for Niasse? He's not a Messi or Lukaku, but seems to know where the net is. He doesn't seem worse than say Kone and IF we manage to sell him, it'll probably be at a significant loss. For some reason RK doesn't seem to think much if him, and he seems to have most things right so far.

1.) 16 Mar 2017 03:43:10
You started off that post so well Kingo78 about Rom. Then it went downhill. Niasse will have to play like Messi for the rest of the season before Koeman would even consider taking him back.

Seems he has his mind made up about him. He had first hand access to seeing him in training. Koeman is no fool.

I'm not putting down Niasse. I'm delighted for him. Hope he scores another 10 before the end of the season.

15 Mar 2017 13:02:35
Have Everton actually announced that Rom has refused the contract, or has all this stemmed from him saying to the Belgian reporter he hasn't signed yet?

1.) 15 Mar 2017 16:57:07
Moshiri has confirmed it today.

Formbyjules. If you play them together, who do you drop then? Just intrigued to see other blues point of view.

Forget about Rooney history etc, but where would he figure in our current set up? Genuine question not after any bites or whatever. Playing one up top, would he play instead if Rom (I don't see it) Would he play just behind instead of Ross. Not for me. That us if course we manage to keep both. Therefore would he be a sub for supposedly 150k a week? I understand his professionalism, experience and other things as well as showing our 'ambition' may help, even his ability would help somewhere but as to signing him as a player, even on a free, I struggle to see where he would feature.

{Ed025's Note - im with you kingo, of course if he were to pull on that blue shirt again he would have my undying support but i feel it is a time to look forward not back mate..

I thought the only scenario of 7th position (us) not getting Europa League now was Leicester winning the CL.

I have to be honest, I'm not 100% convinced on Keane or Gibson, especially for the figures quoted. I understand it's not my money and that prices have inflated, but if Keane or Gibson were Spanish or French etc, then would you want to be paying 25 for their services? I believe they are just the 'best' of an average bunch of British CBs and would rather a better foreigner for the same fee (I don't know who though) I know we received, in my opinion, an over inflated fee on Stones, but thay doesn't mean we have to follow suit.

Unfortunately this link was always going to creep back up providing Rom delivered. and he has. Let's hope he feels we are heading in the right direction for him, him to show some. loyalty and/ or we did the promise him anything stupid/ unrealistic in the summer gone for him to stay for another season ie. Champions League this season/ sign unrealistic players etc.

Not for me personally. Havent seen much special from him really, although was probably a rare highlight to an atrocious season for Sunderland. Young and British. he's going to get highlighted.

I think I disagree to be honest. Keep him for this season and see what he does for us next year. As he says over and over, he us ambitious and will continue to show his talent rather than sulk. Who knows, he may get us into CL next year depending on our clubs ambition and who we get in in the summer. With 1 or 2 years remaining on a contract, he won't go for cheap either way providing he's continuing to show the goods and score the goals.

But on the flip side, if we value him at say £80m and someone comes in with an unsettling bid of around £65m, then we can easily turn it down and show Rom the contract that says he can only go for x value. I see it as a win win for both parties.

Shocked me to be honest when I saw it advertised "All day Everton takeover in Sky Sports". At first I thought we'd got Ustinov on board already. Hahaha.

Everything Everton to be honest. Quite revealing. Talking to Elstone about our finances and moving. Koeman about a normal week, stop analysising last result and start preparing for our next match, Ferguson on a coaching sessions and preparing with management about what needs doing, Walsh about how he identifies and gets players, Tom Davies about his Everton rise, Romelu (and Jamie Carragher in full Everton training kit) about his future. Everton in the Community officer about our charity work (didnt relise how much we actually do) . It's been really good to be fair.
