I just spotted Yarmelenlo at Goodison ;)

{Ed033's Note - Pity you didn't spot Andriy Yarmolenko. :)

1.) 17 Sep 2018 10:15:19
pity our defence never, either haha.

2.) 17 Sep 2018 17:01:24
Now that’s funny 👍😂.

3.) 17 Sep 2018 20:34:55
Sorry, in fairness posted before kick-off was hoping it went missing. Hopefully I spot someone playing centre forward for us soon.

SSN Reporting Kroneke bids to buy Arsenal - will this lead to Usmanov becoming a blue?

1.) 07 Aug 2018 14:39:34
Arsenal fans association that own a percentage of the club are screwing that if the sales goes through which has a deadline of mid day on Thursday I believe, they will be forced to sell their shares in the club to follow PL rules.

30 Jul 2018 13:02:55
Rockford to be offered improved contract fingers crossed don't mess it up.

1.) 30 Jul 2018 13:23:31
Why are we offering a private detective an improved contract.
Rooney has left hasn't he.

2.) 30 Jul 2018 13:22:38
James Garner making a come back then is he?

3.) 30 Jul 2018 13:41:32
Rockford is code for one of the Eds with the work they do. Should have been Pickford but modern technology thinks better of it.

4.) 30 Jul 2018 13:43:18
Is that James Cookie mate.

5.) 30 Jul 2018 13:49:53
That’s a blast from the past Smit 😂.

6.) 30 Jul 2018 14:10:04
We also lining up petrocelli, banacek and Perry mason. Cracking defensive line up.

7.) 30 Jul 2018 14:17:03
Did Petrocelli ever finish building that house?

8.) 30 Jul 2018 14:17:44
I've heard our next signing is magnum or starsky and hutch.

9.) 30 Jul 2018 14:25:46
We've the speed we've got in the team I don't suggest signing anyone that makes others jealous. Think Matlock might be the boy to shore up our defence.

10.) 30 Jul 2018 14:31:49
2 new CBs Cagney and Lacey anyone?

11.) 30 Jul 2018 16:09:25
Ironside bombing down the wing.

12.) 30 Jul 2018 18:21:30
We need Bowdie and Doyle.

13.) 30 Jul 2018 18:52:49
We need the equaliser for when we go a goal down.

{Ed033's Note - i take it you mean Denzel Washington as Edward Woodward isn't available.

14.) 30 Jul 2018 19:41:50
Well please don't put Columbo in goal :-)

15.) 30 Jul 2018 21:11:59
Tinky winky and dipsy would improve us right now.

16.) 30 Jul 2018 21:19:56
Ed033 we would probably get a better return from Edward Woodward than we are getting now.

{Ed033's Note - Maybe Everton should go to Rentaghost.

17.) 31 Jul 2018 01:23:00
Ed033.sod rentaghost, shot grotbags at centre half and watch premier strikers quiver.

{Ed001's Note - speak to Ed025 about that, he told me he married her...}

18.) 31 Jul 2018 15:37:37
Ed025 are you going to defend your version of Grotbags 😂😂😂.

{Ed025's Note - my bird is a princess joe...at least thats what she told me mate, thats what she gets for kissing frogs.. :)

25 Jul 2018 11:18:34
Moshiri has said capacity of New stadium will be 52-55k.

1.) 25 Jul 2018 12:08:29
About right imo.

2.) 25 Jul 2018 12:33:16
If that’s correct (a big “if” at the moment) , then imho that shows that the club’s hierarchy does not believe that we can ever challenge for a place at football’s top-table, which may or may not be realistic at the point that’s now been reached in the overall structure of football, but the lack of ambition it shows (just my opinion) is mind-boggling and begs the question of why are they are even bothering to run a football club - unless it’s to reach a point where the ownership can sell-up for a tidy profit.
On the other hand, would increased match-day income from a newer, bigger stadium be a major financial component compared to what we get from television money, Premier League (and UEFA completions) prize money, -commercial income (which is seems pitiful at present) and player trading? Maybe player trading is the plan: bring in promising young players to develop them and eventually transfer them for a profit.
Perhaps that’s what these young players are told: join Everton, you’ll get to play and prove yourselves, and then eventually join a “bigger” club.
Could that be why Lookman seems so unsettled - because has hasn’t been playing?
Anyway, the club remains silent (officially) about the stadium and just a few crumbs of unofficial “information” appear in the media.
It’s said that “no news is good news”, but is it really?

3.) 25 Jul 2018 12:45:44
The Etihad capacity is a fraction over 55000 and for uefa competitions it's limited to 53000. Would find it hard to argue city aren't challenging at the top table?

4.) 25 Jul 2018 12:47:13
So we need a 65000 plus stadium? Nah that's foolish, we'd never fill the darn thing. 55 seems the correct number. And remember, Man City and co have all extended capacity in their new stadiums. If the d3mand is there after we have been s3lling out 55 then sure, the design will be done in a way that had future scope for extension and that's when we can start adding to 5k seats.

Why would we want a giant stadia we can't fill?
More delusional hogwash from our fans.

5.) 25 Jul 2018 13:36:32
Apart from the last line you read my mind myteamisbetterthanyours. I'd expect plans in order to expand if need be.

{Ed002's Note - It is not possible for such a large stadium to be buit without Everton paying vast amounts in to improving the local infrastructure. Liverpool has a rather similar constraint on them.}

6.) 25 Jul 2018 15:29:18
The reason we need a better stadium is because our lack of corporate opportunities are crippling.

Before Anfield expanded, their Matchday revenue was around £62m P/ A. Ours is £18m. The huge discrepancy is largely down to our lack of corporate entertainment and not the 7 thousand or so fewer seats.

With the new stadium this will be one of the main areas to address. Whether it’s 55k or 60k it won’t make much difference in income compared to what we will gain by having a state of the art corporate experience.

Ultimately we want the right amount to fill so that the atmosphere is as close to Goodison under the lights as we can get it.

7.) 25 Jul 2018 15:26:01
Ed002: interesting point about the local infrastructure needed to support a large stadium - especially in an area like the north Liverpool docks where I’d imagine that new roads and new rail links (and stations) would have to be built to cope with the traffic not only to and from the stadium, but also to and from all the other proposed new buildings (hotels, shops, offices? ) in the entire development area.
I imagine that West Ham United’s move to the former Olympic Stadium was a great deal (financially if not for the fans! ) because the infrastructure was already in place and the stadium was already built and didn’t need a huge amount of work to have it ready for PL football.

{Ed002's Note - Generally so.}

8.) 25 Jul 2018 15:49:00
I agree. i'd rather have empty corporate seating knowing we have got enough. Its got to be better than empty seats everywhere.

5000 extra is around 3 mill a year (if we fill them all) offset that against the cost to build those extra 5000 coupled with the extra facilities, access to the ground, local infrastructure as Ed says.
doesn't seem worth it.

9.) 25 Jul 2018 17:18:17
I think you have to put your trust in Dan Meis who warns about just believing "more is better. " Also I'm almost sure I read that due to the limited size available for the footprint of the proposed stadium future extension will not be possible.

10.) 25 Jul 2018 18:07:26
Wouldnt sacrifice atmosphere for added seats. Empty seats look awful.

11.) 25 Jul 2018 22:51:53
I agree, I’m not to fussed over the capacity of the stadium, just as long as it’s over the 50k mark. It’s the sh! te sponsorship deals that infuriates me. I couldn’t care less if we where sponsored by ‘Morally’ inappropriate companies (like some say for example) betting, alcohol, etc.

We need to stop taking this moral high ground and ensure that whilst we don’t sell ourselves to the devil we get as much money we can from Shirt Sponsorship, Brands, TV, Stadium rights etc. as we can. I cannot BELIEVE some of the clubs that receive more than us in this department. Said this for years our commercial teal needs to get ‘commercial’.

12.) 26 Jul 2018 01:31:48
So 51878 I heard Meis wanted to incorporate 1878 in there

There’s nothing to say the ground isn’t future proofed with an ability to expand part of the stadium if ever deemed necessary.

16 May 2018 15:07:21
Allardyce said: “I'm shocked, disappointed and disgusted that the football club didn't have the decency to tell me, my Director of Football and my staff about the changes. Walsh not told he must be going as well.

1.) 16 May 2018 16:22:51
He was all manner of things until FM signed him a cheque for £6 mil and sent him on holiday. No doubt to 're emerge at WBA? Probably win the league but hey that's where he is.

Just watching TV and seen the might blues doing a proper advert for Sure. Apologises if you have all seen it or aware but I haven't, a lot classier than that liverpool one.

1.) 26 May 2019 08:38:28
Not seen it, can’t find it, any links?

2.) 26 May 2019 08:51:10
Sorry guys I re-read the post and realised that Sure started with a capital, just watched Sure “make your move” episode 2 everton, so thanks cookie78 really enjoyed that👍
Big C.

Andy Van der Meyde - what a waste of money. A poor player. On a good note, glad you are sober enough to remember Everton made you rich for 4 years. Rant over!

1.) 20 May 2019 21:18:34
Has he said something I’ve missed? Erm recently that is.

2.) 21 May 2019 09:43:44
Cookie78 he was awesome on Championship Manager though.

3.) 21 May 2019 10:55:21
Found it what a . obviously his personal problems were all Everton’s fault and not his own weaknesses,

Glad he’s got his life together but needs to keep his personal feelings out of his professional life.

4.) 21 May 2019 13:17:10
The biggest shock of what he's said is the fact that he can actually remember being at the club. No secret he liked a tipple or ten, hence the name 'Shandy Andy', and he liked to put a Columbian substance up his nose on a regular basis! But, yes, it's all Everton's fault Andy you bad melt!

5.) 21 May 2019 14:13:54
He is telling everyone in Holland to avoid Everton because we are awful or words to that effect.

6.) 21 May 2019 14:30:58
The guy is a shocker. Preferred a drink and night life to putting in an honest shift at work. There’s people like him in all walks of life, but seeing them at your club on a small fortune and it just makes you want to scream.

Main thing is this. Everyone knows what he got up to. He was stupid (or skint) enough to put it print. So if anyone listens to his advice and takes it, is probably as daft as he was and better for us, far away from our club like he is right now.

Sensational. You hope they compete against The top teams and the heart desire is enough to give us a chance. Today we have Heart Desire and Top Top Quality. Proud and excited as we have really stepped up. Remember we got 3 points from 9 games in December/ January. We will be competing a lot higher in League next year. The difference imho is Silva has solved the Centre Forward position. Makes the whole team flow and Flourish.

23 Aug 2018 15:28:39
Bolasie in the stands at Villa. Good Luck, shame injuries and poor management put a stop to you and maybe some other circumstances he would have be a cult hero.

1.) 23 Aug 2018 17:35:45
His touch is horrific mate. He looked good when he first came but that was more to do with how poor we were on the wings and he give us a direct approach and some penetration were it was before lacking.

2.) 23 Aug 2018 20:07:46
Lukaku’s touch still is horrific but we got £90m for him.

Bolasie should never have made the move. He was a hero at oalace and is now looking at the Championship.

3.) 23 Aug 2018 20:29:10
Lukaku is a proven goal scorer though and doesn't confuse himself with the ball. The lukaku comparison does not make any point mate. Bolasie doesn't have the end product and lukaku won't drop a league any time soon.

4.) 23 Aug 2018 20:30:15
Windsor blue you should change your name to captain hindsight 😉.

5.) 23 Aug 2018 20:30:19
Bolassie was fine till he got injured mate.

6.) 23 Aug 2018 21:25:00
It was a joke BT. We’d be lucky to get £9m for Bolasie. Lukaku is a proven goal scorer but for me is a flat track bully. We robbed Utd because £90m should buy you a striker who gets crucial goals in big games, not someone who gets two or three a game against bottom eight teams but goes missing against the top six. His overall goal tally for us and Utd masks him going missing in a number of big matches.

I agree GB. He looked a top player at Palace but his injury has really affected him. He may benefit from a season in the Championship to get his mojo back.

7.) 23 Aug 2018 22:42:04
I wouldn’t say we robbed Utd as he would cost a lot more now.

8.) 24 Aug 2018 06:00:24
We see Bolasie's performances but what do we really know about what he has gone through. The injury was the most serious you get in football and over 50% never recover either physically or mentally. He has had a tough ride and I wish him well.

{Ed025's Note - i agree smeggs and i have to say i was well chuffed when we signed him, it has not worked out for him but i do wish him well mate..

09 Jul 2018 15:36:55
Normally I am very patient but now 4 weeks until deadline and no one in, no one close to being in and a lot of dead wood not sold. Should I be panicking?

1.) 09 Jul 2018 20:23:57
How do you know we aren't close Cookie? The everton way is always the quiet way.

We were not that bad just as we were not that great when we won a few games in November. We are inconsistent mid table team. Win and defeats in equal measure at moment. As for goals we have 2 of top 10 scorers in pl this season so not bad.

Totally agreed on right path. As for unsettled team, In November he played what I think he would call his best team every game. Since then he has rotated couple each game with exception of some defensive players. I remember May (just about) being bored to tears and a empty stadium for the end of season lap of honour. Can't see that happening now so surely that is progress.

Tactics issue today tried to go toe to toe with one of best attacks on there good day. Showed up how much we miss Gueye and how much Davies is off being top player. He can get there but miles away still. We could have scored 4 but they could have scored 10. Mind you better than being 3 nil down after 20minutes without trying to score like last year.
