Just a quick one, looking like we will be picking up scraps towards the end of the transfer window. Is there any favourites Ed's that are most likely? Stopped checking the transfer news as getting fed up with 'looking at' or 'interested in' so wanting an update.

Alan Myers said Chermiti is done, get behind the lad, hopefully he's a late bloomer like DCL and quickly learns how to finish (as per Ed saying is poor) although I don't think dcl is that great with his feet anyways. onto the next signing ??.

Another name thrown into the hat - Tete. Any truth behind this one Ed's? Only one that seems to make sense so far now that he's on a free.
{Ed002's Note - Tete (RW) Will walk out on Shakhtar with Brendan Rodgers keen to work with him again at Celtic - -but it could drag out, potentially even to the end of the year when his contract runs out. His agent has been trying to find a solution with SD that fits with FIFA's rule regarding suspending contracts in Ukraine that would allow him to move this summer. Napoli have spoken to his agent and see him as a potential Hirving Lozano replacement. Leicester, Lazio and Sheffield United are trying to understand the risks involved with Celting looking to address the financial risk by paying compensation. Shakhtar Donetsk and Gremio are talking with FIFA about compensation and how any solidarity payment will be paid - and that could lead to a legal tangle. There may well be interest from other sides in the PL.}

Wishful more like mate. My opinion is the Squad is currently weaker than the one finishing last Season. Sick note not even ready yet, it appears that yet another Manager is willing to gamble on him. As for Maupay, that was an awful performance against Wigan and with Simms gone and looking like Cannon off to PNE, I just don't get it.

One can only hope they have assurances about incoming striker (s) , but with our track record we can't even rely on the boardroom to pull something out the hat.

Would love dembele on a free, even if we sell him next year just get someone in FGS. Seems like we are the only club in the world where the board struggle to see what needs doing.

They will play Danjuma up top I think. DCL won’t play especially now Davies has left he will be even less interested than he was!
Moshiri now thinks because we have been lucky the last 2 seasons that he can spend nothing now and we will just about stay up. That’s the height of our ambition. The kids must be awful though to not even warrant being kept as backup, especially to maupay. It’s as dire as it gets.

Defo an element of not been 100 percent committed. Some lads get injections to play games put off surgery till pre season. He's definitely not a warrior. He's missed games because he didn't feel right what does that mean?

Have to say I'm glad dembele is on the way to Gerrard if links are correct, he was hardly playing as lacazette was in ahead of him and was poor at arsenal so I can't see dembele being good enough.

Hi, interested in seeing what the Ed's have to say about the rumours at the minute? What's most likely? Which would be best?
{Ed025's Note - to be fair Rylo we are being linked to every man and his dog mate, GNonto is very talented but leeds are faffing about and it seems unlikely at this moment, Chermiti has been dragging his heels and im not even sure that he is coming, Tete looks very unlikely, we are now linked to Ekitiki but in my opinion the fee will be very prohibitive, for me we will be looking to late in the window for other teams offcasts, but hopefully im wrong..

The Chermiti deal is indeed an odd one, however ed002 did point this out a while ago that there may be issues with it and in particular a work permit may be an issue.
Gnonto looks like could be on the way out of Leeds after not figuring tonight and some interesting comments by farke about this - however imagine more enticing propositions than us.

FBS I couldn’t agree more, people can moan we haven’t done good enough or got good enough in but I think that man is a shining light in our back room staff.

I personally feel that myko and patts will be much better with decent players in front of them! And a striker to run the channels if they need to hoof it ? still raw, but personally I think it’s too early to judge although bringing in someone for now whilst they develop I can understand the shouts!

Chermiti and dobbin need time. That’s why we’ve got Beto, Danjuna, Harrison and I’m guessing another winger when iwobi and grey go. Ross Barkley didn’t find form until 22ish, same for DCL. No point having a go at dobbin and Chermiti cause they ain’t ready.

At this point in time I’d say we are weaker, and with our history of selling f. e richy and Gordon with no replacements it’s hard to be optimistic. One thing I am sure of is that no matter what mess we are in dyche is suitable for the role.
