Why are people getting on Chermiti's case already?
Saying Cannon is better? Do we see them in training? The answer is no.
He is a kid in a new country, adjusting to a far more physical style of football.
We all said he is one for the future yet some arw washing their hands with him after one performance. even though he looked bright against Wolves.
Some of our fans are so toxic, it is going to be a difficult season.
Why don't we just get behind the team?

My thoughts exactly DB, we always need a whipping boy Keane, Maupay, Awobi now the new lad. I'm not saying the names mentioned are great players but they have the blue shirt on so will get my support when they play.

If we all judged someone on their first few appearances then Maupay would be a fan favourite.

Yep that’s for sure DuaneyBoy it’s the usual one or two who constantly moan on here, but take no notice he has to be given time as with all new recruits, am sure Sean knows why he was bought in that’s good enough for me mate.

He needs time. Just like DCL did.

Are people seriously critising Chermiti? Jeez he is a teenager in a new country and style of football. Utterly ridiculous.

I’m sure he’ll improve, got to be a reason we paid £15m for a 19yr old.

Totally agree about getting used to a new league, new team and new style of play, however I was a little disappointed with his first touch and I’m not sure that’s affected by what I previously mentioned.

Maybe he was trying too hard to impress last night and that resulted in his poor first touch.

Hopefully with some more appearances under his belt and being a bit more relaxed we’ll see his first touch improve.

This young guy won't be ready for 2 to 3 years. The good thing is he is learning from similar type forwards who ARE ready and will be playing ahead of him.

However, I've seen enough of him top think he's going to be a good signing. He's got a really good work rate, puts himself about but is clearly very raw.

Proper football supporters understand this and will give him time. The brainless idiots having a go clearly know nothing about football and just get all their knowledge from FIFA games.

GB not just Sean, but Kevin as well. Impressed so far with his dealings considering our financial situation.

Exactly i don't see how anyone can pick out individuals for criticism when the whole team was shocking, and the kid has probably never experienced anything like the physicality of league 2 centre halves in his life. Give him some time, hopefully Beto can teach him a thing or 2.

Lukaku's 1st touch was and still is shocking he could trap it further than I can kick it. and his 2nd touch was a tackle lol. but he scored goals and hopefully this lad will aswell given the time ????????????.

Tom Davies has left so the usual halfwits will be looking for another player to slate.

The same hypocrites that posted last week about the doom sayers being out of order for calling out a poorly performing team with no wins as the poison fan base are the ones who slated a kid. Go figure? Absolute losers and pretty vile who like the sound of their own putrid nonsense. Nice bunch.

DAN Seriously re the new young lad are we really talking about 1st touch? This is the premier league isn't it? Not the vanorama. He must have something about him for everton to pay 15 million. Wakey wakey this is the same club who bought sandro ramirez and paid him a 100k per week, iwobi how much?!?

The standards are so low that even I'm not that arsed whether we lose iwobi or not (preference being we do) reason being: far worse players at the club I'd sooner punt on 1st. any other club who would have signed iwobi for that money at the time, it would have been the worst bit of business they had ever done. not us though! (I have a good head of hair but if I'd been in the boardroom while they thrashed out the Walcott deal I would have walked out bald)

I'm not having a pop just some of the comments on here really do reflect how bloody awful it all is and how low the expectations are but also how as fans we are just starting to accept this as the new norm.

Re the new Portuguese lad I'm hoping he does turn out quality and of course I would give him support and time, nor would I judge him on 1 game against Doncaster. problem is he is a big risk and has all the hallmarks of an everton signing and our inept board/ recruitment regime- plunge 15 million on a prospect when we need someone to hit the ground running now! 15 million we don't appear to have by the way!

Yet again as with most of you my anger has never really been with any of the past umpteen managers, I have no love for the players but I accept they can't be held accountable for the ridiculous wages our inept board are paying them. Yet again the whole bloody mess is all on those upstairs.

On a positive note beto looked great and I could go onto loving him!
