Not sure why there is a level of optimism that we can beat Leicester, a draw at most unless we can get DCL some service which will be doubtful when we’ll be on the back foot for most of the game. Leicester have playmakers unlike us. I can’t see past us getting another beating. Sorry for the pessimism, but I’ve had all the optimism kicked out of me and resigned to championship football. ?.

Some fans are just like that mate, some on here would back our current team to beat the 2011 Barcelona team that won the champions league even if we were 3-0 down before the game. They are just optimists and always look on the bright side.

I have an angel on one shoulder with the hope we’ll win, a devil on the opposite shoulder telling me we’re getting hammered and my own brain telling me that Sean Dyche will be his stubborn self and name an unchanged side save for Seamus Coleman and the usual story will play out………. Most predictions are still for us to be relegated based on who we have to play and home games left. To be fair they’re probably not far off, however looking at West Ham, Forest and Southampton, they have some pretty tough fixtures.
This is going to go all the way to us needing to win our last game at home to Bournemouth.

I believe we’ll stay up, and more comfortably than people think. We’re playing with more heart and confidence than others down there. SD has got the squad grinding out draws from losses and every point counts.

Think I agree Jbtoffee. Hope we are well clear come end of April. We are much more resilient under dyche. Just the lack of goals that worry me. If we can draw with utd and beat Fulham then that would be a big stride in the right direction. Think the next 2 weekends are crucial as Southampton and Leicester could drift away so hopefully then its any 1 team from 6.

I still think itll be saints, Bournemouth and forest to go down and Their goal difference will play a part in that. After last night the hammers should be very concerned too. Our run in is tough but no one wants to play us at the mo. I still think we stay up.

It does depend on how you view the opposition.
Our harder games would be Southampton, City, Leeds and Chelsea away and Liverpool as we never really get anything against these teams.
Newcastle, United, Leicester we do get results against. The other teams haven't been around long enough to have a bad run against.
Now Chelsea and Spurs are out of the way it's only the city game you could say we definitely won't get anything from.

I feel your nervousness, supporting the Toffees since 1966 and this is the worst feeling I have. I recall the Wimbledon game, 15:00 kick off, I took myself into the garden to finish laying a patio. Just the radio on in the background and me sweating like a pig through anxiety and hard graft.
We pulled it off that day and I was thinking of getting in to the garden again to do some hard graft under floodlights, unfortunately I’m just not up to it in 2023, and feel I’d be putting in more effort than the team.

I don’t have the same confidence that we can get a win here. DCL will have a couple of games under his belt now so we need to see some service to him, he does look our only likely scorer. Our midfield just aren’t on it as far as service and I can see Madison killing us. We may be surprised where our points come from, wolves, Brighton and Bournemouth look more likely to me, but how many points will it be, 3, 6, 7, or 9. I believe 7 is needed as 6 will see us down on good and that would really be rubbing salt into the wound.
