Sean has apparently been reassured by the Everton board that no FFP rule breaking has occured!

{Ed025's Note - i hope thats the case DFS..

PSG had a 10m fine for breaking rules, the biggest fine yet.
Seems counterintuitive as wouldn’t this put more not less debt on to the club.
You watch, we’ll be the first club punished with a 12 point deduction.

{Ed002's Note - Certainly won’t be the first club punished.}

Not even been evidenced yet and in any case will drag on for months. Moshri may well be naive as to football but he has 'friends' and himself with deep pockets, when it comes to it there will be vigorous defence. 12 points won't happen.

{Ed002's Note - You have no idea what will happen. The excuses to date have been pitiful and rejected, if they change this now they have been lying.}

Of course I and you have no idea, that was just my opinion, I am not a lawyer (sports) either but it would be naive to believe Moshri would not have a couple.

{Ed002's Note - What have lawyers got to do with it? You seem to be very confused.}

It definitely won't be a points deduction. That would damage the competitiveness of the PL and at the moment that is something we don't need. We are under pressure from the proposed El and also the government. If found to be in breach the punishment will be in line with the breach. Personally I'd prefer a points deduction than transfer restriction. The punishment will include a fine but after liaising with the PL for the entire period the breach apparently happened the PL will only come out of it looking bad aswell.
The sensible outcome for both sides if proven is a suspended penalty.

You make some very good points Smit666. Seems to me blood will be spilled some way for someone. I hope I'm wrong and your right.

Based on our accounts sounds like if we get relegated we could easily go to the wall. This really is a staggering mess. If by some miracle Dyche keeps us up, there is going to need to be more culling of the squad (which is pretty awful as it is! ) and wheeling and dealing and what sounds like an inevitable points deduction making it very difficult to then stay up the following season. Looks like we may end up with the best stadium in the championship. I really fear we are going to be the next derby or Bolton and will be in league 1 before we know it thanks to moshiri.

Ed002. He didn’t say they would be the first club punished did he? Your comment is so out of context it’s unreal.

{Ed002's Note - Ok if you want to be pedantic - Everton will not be the first club getting a 12 point deduction - there have been others but perhaps the pig ignorant like you don't know it just wish to troll the site. I am thinking about removing his account as well as yours.}

For financial irregularity issues within the PL I can't think of any clubs getting a points deduction to be fair Ed002. Outside of the PL well you are absolutely correct there have been plenty of clubs receiving points deductions for financial irregularities and breach of regulation. The owner and Everton Board have got us into this situation and deserve to be hauled over the coals. Unfortunately it is unlikely that they themselves will be held to account but the club will. If found to have broken P&S regulations by the independent panel, then punishment is warranted.

In my opinion PL football needs an independent review body that has the ability to look at the way the PL is actually run and come up with a simple set of fair unambiguous regulations for all to follow.

{Ed002's Note - Right. Clubs not indivuals are held responsible unless their has been anything illegal determined to have been happening. There is a new independent football regulator but they won't be writing regulation. The existing regulation is fair and unambiguous and clubs are briefed aabout all changes at the start of each season.}

The current P/ S is fair and like many want, if it was scrapped the big clubs would just get further away than they already are.
Our fans want a change because we have an owner that seemingly wants to blow all his money but can't. Most other clubs can't though.
Maybe the 15 million limit is out dated due to inflation etc.

Delete my account as well
Only one pig ignorant person on here.

{Ed002's Note - I am astonished, not how little you all understand about the finances, that is to be expected; but how little you all know about Everton.}

Just to go back to the OP. Assurances from our board literally mean nothing. How many times have they lied recently?

Maybe part of the reason the supporters know so little is because of the complete inadequacy of the football to communicate and be transparent with the supporters.

I'm not getting back at you Ed002. Just making a simple point. I actually feel sorry for you on here because you go out of your way to try and explain things. Some posters can be very annoying I'm sure. Not aiming that at anyone on this particular thread or not aiming it at anyone specifically at all.

You said a long time ago Ed002 that the club was a complete mess. You obviously knew then what most of us are only getting to know now. I can only speak for myself and I really appreciate your input on here. Long may it continue.

All input is welcomed, especially if it offers insight that’s not already been put forward. Think some could work in their delivery at times, on both sides of the debate, to avoid the unnecessary sniping.
I can understand how lots of fans cannot understand how some of the spending of other Prem clubs goes unpunished. Yes, I know, it’s within the rules that are clearly set out, and we’ve broken those rules, please let’s go down that route again. It can appear unbalanced though, rightly or wrongly - think we all just need to accept that we’ve managed our finances incredibly poorly since Moshiri took over and move on. Just hope we can recover quickly.

Absolutely JBtoffee. Although you have a point that the rules seem to favour some more than others that didn't cause our demise. The biggest reason and pretty much the only reason Everton F. C. is in this mess is whatever happened in house. We can't blame that on any rules or any other clubs. We were our own worst enemy really. Just feel sorry for the supporters.
