But it's OK for them to put all kids out against the other lot.

Different competition glt.
At least this one has been done with some notice and done properly unlike the Man City postponement.

No discipline is the cause. May sound old school but unfortunately true. Most are in their early twenties, late teens and pockets full of dosh. Pubs may be closed but this lot just Party on. What do the Clubs do, slap wrists.

Sorry bill but how do you know it’s no discipline?

This current variant they could have caught it from any of the support staff who don’t have pocket loads of dosh.

Think it’s getting too easy to criticise players - some clearly need criticising the ones who went abroad, the ones who had parties, the Celtic team for their ridiculous trip to Dubai etc. But I’m sure there are loads of premier league players who are following the rules.

However haven’t heard anything regards the villa players and it could be just poor luck that they’ve got it.

Haven't heard anything about the villa players gingerdan? Missed the stories about grealish repeatedly breaking the rules then I guess.

To be fair Grealish broke rules early during first lock down, but so did Moise Kean so claiming Villa are a bunch of rule breakers based on that seems a little harsh, since presumably you are not suggesting we are?

Toffedavey he broke the rules in March - it’s now January, don’t think the 2 are related.

Not heard anything about any of the villa players breaking rules this last couple of weeks.

{Ed001's Note - last month he was caught out, have you been in a football bubble as well? Him and former Everton midfielder Ross Barkley were caught out together.}

Wasn’t aware of that Ed001. Have seen all the stories about Celtic, the women footballers trip abroad, Kyle Walker party, the argentinians having Christmas together, mitrovic and Milivojevic, but genuinely hadn’t seen anything about villa players.

{Ed001's Note - there has been a few and Barkley and Grealish tend to be at the centre of them all, unsurprisingly.}

Don’t see why they can’t push it back to Tuesday night. Villas training ground reopens Sunday and they gave Fulham less notice to prepare for Spurs. The fixture pile up is going to be ridiculous come the end of the season, seems to be no consistency in the decision making, is Boris Johnson on the EPL board? .

Guess you didn’t see the pick of Grealish with his paid for “lady friend” a few weeks ago Dan lol.

{Ed025's Note - or his version of "wreck it ralph" in the first lockdown after his party with 30 mates..

I guess as well though when 70-80% of the population are behaving like idiots you can’t expect footballers to be any different.

Professional footballers are only human, the problem is they think they are a bit more ''human'' than the rest of us.

{Ed025's Note - never a truer word said 247..

Personally I think anyone breaking the rules should be hit hard for it, I don’t think they should even get a warning now, break the C.V. rules the player or players should be fined 2 weeks wages, all those fines can go into a C.V. fund to be distributed to teams struggling in the lower tiers of the game!
If players break the rules with these parties or any other activities causing their club to call off a game, the player should get a ban, spitting gets you a 6 game ban so give them similar to that! Might make them think again!
If the same club repeats having to postpone games, award the game to the other side
Am sure you will soon see clubs reprimanding their players when it’s hitting their league points! 😡.

Thanks for that Ed001. Gingerdan and EFCONE might be best to check before steaming in and telling someone they're wrong 👍.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome. Footballers in general seem to think they are above the law, sadly it does seem to be so in many, many cases. I don't understand why any player caught breaching lockdown regs (and I include Salah in this as he did so) is not handed an immediate ban from playing. It is always hushed up and the punishment, if there even is any, is kept inhouse. It is ridiculous. US sports make things like player salaries and punishments public and that is how it should be. I still believe that the only reason they are not getting publicly punished is because they don't want someone in a pissy about being punished dropping a bunch of their teammates in the brown stuff too.}

Toffedavey having looked at the stories regarding Grealish still can’t see anything about him in last 2 weeks which would be rough timeframe for their outbreak.
There’s quite a lot about him in March and before Christmas.

I agree with Ed001 regards punishment and bans but for some reason footballers appear to be above the law and held in some sort of godlike status.

Think the only reason people are now starting to question the celebrations when scoring a goal is because so many footballers are breaking the rules. There was very little public criticism of goal celebrations at the start of project restart. However the more footballers and football clubs give themselves bad press the more scrutiny they will come under. Eventually Everton will have had enough of their selfish antics and wouldn’t be surprised if football gets stopped again.

I don't see why people have a problem with Celtic going to Dubai. Less chance of getting it there than in Scotland.

{Ed025's Note - it was their blatant disregard of social distancing rules chris, dubai has similar rules to here and if you seen the video footage i think you would see what all the fuss is about mate..

Still stinks that they played them with kids.

FatChris pretty much everyone in lockdown and can’t go anywhere yet Celtic thought it would be ok to go to Dubai for a warm weather camp.
Aren’t the rules for elite sport is travelling for competition only. Absolutely no need for them to go.
Regardless of the social distancing etc. What makes them think it was a good idea?
Just clearly further highlights the gulf between football and the general public. General public getting fined for visiting relatives in care homes, going for exercise outside their area. Can’t even leave the country unless for work purposes. Yet Celtic can go to Dubai on a warm weather camp. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour and a terrible example being set.

{Ed025's Note - spot on dan..
