Talk of possible Jan loan out for Holgate, could be good as unlikely to get much game time as it stands. Any others?

Bunkbeds

1.) 12 Dec 2018 09:07:39
im thinking along the lines of, dowell, davies, Holgate even possibily Virginia, and if another forward is brought in dcl.

Newspaper reports we are inteteste In signing Nasri once his drug ban hason finish.

Bunkbeds

{Ed002's Note - Everton do not need any more LWs.}

1.) 12 Oct 2018 10:44:22
I agree, would definitely rather keep faith with current attacking midfielders.

2.) 12 Oct 2018 11:38:37
Just been reported Everton have no interest in the player, and would not fit into Marco's style.

3.) 13 Oct 2018 09:23:29
Everton drop interest in Nasri.

Betting makes us favourites for Cleverly. if we get him hope RM can bring out best in him and turn him into a good player for us.

Might be a move which see's Besic moving into the back 4

Bunkbeds

The best in him? Have you all been on the piss while I've been away?

{Ed025's Note - welcome back swan..

I didn't see the game but clearly not a great performance. Shame, could've/ should've got 3 points today.

But are we simply not good enough? Are the players not as good as we thought/ hoped?

I would like to see McCarthy and or Beni given a run out in midfield, fresh legs with good football skills, pace and drive. Or try that thought of Baines sitting in front of back 4?

I don't feel we need to set alarms off and start sacking everyone but clearly things need addressing.

Bunkbeds

{Ed025's Note - very much so bunkbeds..

1.) 20 Jan 2019 08:49:54
Old record but look, we set ourselves up because of bad choices at the beginning. If the foundation is soft, how can you be structurally sound. All the information is there in the Premiership on Silva, yet off we go and sign him up. As for no panic sackings! Millions spent on players that were not good enough where they were on a failed coaches say so. The season is gone now. Silva is not going to improve, all the evidence is there. Either he goes now or in the Summer. If he goes now we can caretake for the rest of the season giving DoF and staff 15 games and the summer window to do due dilligence. Martinez I didn't want from the beginning, Koeman I thought would have been okay but alas I was wrong. This fella, I just don't get it.

{Ed025's Note - i really want to shout that post down DFS, i dont know what it is with everton and managers but as shakespeare would say "something is rotten in the state of denmark", we have appointed 3 managers who i was very excited about in martinez, koeman and silva yet none of them seem to have the formula to make this club great again, mind you that could just mean i dont have a scooby about football i suppose, i think marco needs more time though and i dont want us to become a club who sack managers for the sake of it but things have to improve, its a very worrying time for the club i must admit mate..

2.) 20 Jan 2019 09:23:25
who did u want ducks?

3.) 20 Jan 2019 14:30:46
Keep answering this johny1989. Benitez No1 choice, Howe my second (I get homesick, but he was (probably still is an Evertonian) . Just something about Benitez and I reckon he would put his finger on the pulse straight away. My Son In Law and Grand Son are red's and have nothing but good words for the man.

just been looking at the list of premierleague players out of contract and the end the season in the Echo. There are some very good players there. Granted some are aging and some also injury prone but worth a punt?

Sadly my favourite Everton player of last 10yrs Mr Baines is also on there πŸ˜’πŸ˜‚.

Bunkbeds

1.) 05 Jan 2019 14:55:49
Wellbeck, Sturridge and Giroud πŸ€”.

2.) 05 Jan 2019 17:01:51
I'd take all 3 those, and although likely going elsewhere I would definitely take Fabregas and Ramsey as well.

{Ed002's Note - Fabregas and Ramsey are going elsewhere as well. That was likely Fabregas' last game at Chelse today.}

3.) 05 Jan 2019 17:16:34
Giroud won't come North of Watford.

4.) 05 Jan 2019 18:28:35
Wifey won't have it.

5.) 05 Jan 2019 18:52:55
Was looking a the same myself. Wondering what the views on Jags and Baines and if they’ll be extended, released ( with a final game send off) or join the coaching staff?

6.) 07 Jan 2019 11:01:38
If they both want to stay on in a squad player/ coach capacity definitely keep em.

02 Jan 2019 12:53:52
Is McCarthy near or ready for a return?

Do we need to freshen the starting 11 for a couple games? Team has looked very tired in last 2 matches.

Bunkbeds

{Ed002's Note - Yes but a loan or a position on the fringes at Everton is what I would expect.}

1.) 02 Jan 2019 13:21:10
You may well be right there ed if he isn't sold that is.

2.) 02 Jan 2019 20:25:34
Shame if he did go, really like him as a player, been bloomin unlucky with big injuries.

07 Nov 2018 10:37:09
I know the opponents were not of the highest quality and i'm not getting carried away on the result. But the starting lineup which is essentially now the 2nd string does show a good strength in squad depth. πŸ’ͺπŸ‘.

Bunkbeds

1.) 08 Nov 2018 09:25:22
Hard to judge to be honest Bunkbeds. Recently watched a team of under 11's play a visiting USA side of 15 year olds (a couple of them needed a shave) , the under 11's thrashed them. Not saying our team was not strong just pointing out a matter of perspective.

2.) 08 Nov 2018 10:17:28
Thats my point dude, i'm not getting carried away with the result, merely pointing out that our '2nd string' is, on paper a solid team and shows greater strength in depth than previous seasons.

Hello folks

IF we are to go for a top CF in Jan or Summer, who do we think we could realistically get?

Bunkbeds

1.) 31 Oct 2018 11:51:35
I agree we need a centre forward but maybe it might be better to carry on until the summer as there will be better possibilities of getting a good long term fix at this time.
After all we all know we are very unlikely to win anything this season so let's wait a bit to get the right player or players.

2.) 31 Oct 2018 13:17:41
Lukaku will be available in the summer. probably cheap as well.

3.) 31 Oct 2018 14:51:55
Batshuyai wouldn't cost a fortune.

4.) 31 Oct 2018 16:26:57
Or Moses.

5.) 31 Oct 2018 16:36:17
I'd try for callum Wilson. Think he would do good job for us.

6.) 31 Oct 2018 18:58:32
The papers say Vardy.

7.) 31 Oct 2018 19:26:40
Computer says no.

8.) 31 Oct 2018 22:00:46
first Jesus. And now Moses, Could have done with either last Sunday for a bit of intervention.

9.) 01 Nov 2018 06:37:28
edin dzeko, similar age to vardy but twice the player.

{Ed025's Note - i like dzeko johny and would prefer him to vardy..

10.) 02 Nov 2018 11:59:09
We need this management team to unearth another Richarlison but one for the center forward spot or even right wing to replace Walcott who has been disappointing of late as most people on here have already said. let's hope he returns to form.

11.) 02 Nov 2018 20:19:17
Dzeko for me as well. We have the speed of attack on the flanks already, what they need is someone to hit with their crosses and Dzeko fills the bill far better than Vardy who is a come from behind the ball speed merchant.

{Ed025's Note - im with you BCT..

12.) 02 Nov 2018 23:20:33
Willian Jose a striker

Gabriel Barbosa a right winger

Almamy Toure a right back

Sander Berge a defensive midfielder

Sign Andre Gomes and Kurt Zouma permanently

That would be a great set of signings but know it's dreaming for now.

Dunk could be a good gamble, he is captain now under Houghton and playing well in their improved form, aggressive the air, young and scores goals. I watch Brighton as family has a season ticket there. i'd take him probably only cost Β£2-4m max. next season Jags as experienced pro backed up by Stones, Dunk, Browning and Galloway = Good

Duffy
Stones

Still think there is plenty in the tank with Jags and Distin. they will come good

We have Stones, Alacaraz and Duffy to cover Distin or Jags ( Besic as well even) why waste cash on another CD.

Striker yes

Quite simply Dreadful, dreary and poor. Can't be positive at all on that performance.
