Talk of possible Jan loan out for Holgate, could be good as unlikely to get much game time as it stands. Any others?

Paper talk: Star says Barcelona are monitoring Richarlison. I would guess every team in Europe is. Any knowledge Ed001/ 002? Is there any real interest? I would think a front 2 of Kane and Richarlison would be unstoppable. Well I would hate to have to try and stop them!

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest in Richarlison being expressed by Barcelona at this time, but it is fair to say that they are looking to replace their attacking players over the next 18 months or so. But right now they have been looking at other options. Melero being at a game was to check on Gomez. Perhaps he went back to spain raving about Richarlison, I don't know.}

Take them with a pinch of salt Jacamo, will step up a notch with the transfer window approaching.

If anything is going to happen, it will happen between Everton and not the rags.

We will be linked with all sorts of strikers, mainly because the rags know we need one and throw enough strikers around, law-of averages say they might get one prediction right, nothing more than click bait and selling columns in the rags.

Enjoy tonight’s game Jacamo and don’t worry too much about what you read.

{Ed025's Note - your spot on bignev..

Improvement has been pretty rapid under Brandt and Silva. A better recruitment policy, targeting younger players with potential and mainly focusing on improving the balance of the squad. The playing style has improved markedly, away from the dull style of last years managers to a attacking style easy on the eye. Players seem to better understand their role in the team and appear to be enthusiastic and committed to the Silva style of play.

We also now have an owner who is capable of moving us forward and that is not a criticism of Bill who did his best for us over many difficult years.
Some things however never seem to change. I am now 78 and went to my first game at 6 years of age. Of course we have had golden periods, too long ago unfortunately, but I would be a rich man if I had received a pound for every time it has been said that we would be a great team but for the lack of one or two players. Right now we need a top centre forward who can score goals and probably a right-winger who can also score.

It has also been said many times that if we could convert some of our draws into wins we would be more often in the top six. Well as of today we have five draws out of fifteen games, some against teams that we should have beaten especially in home games.

And then we come to playing at Anfield. How many times do that lot win at the last moment? It is so inevitable I can't stand to watch the end of the game.
So many things to rejoice about as the Holliday season approaches. Still work for Brands and Silva to do and unlike previous administrations, I have every confidence that they will correct the deficiencies as soon as practical and possible.
So for all fellow Blues and Eds I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year with thanks to all the Eds who do a great job on this site.

According to reports he was very unhappy at Barcelona, but seems happy at Everton and now playing every week. Providing that we are willing to pay whatever transfer fees Liverpool or United offer I see no reason why we would not have a good chance of getting him. Sometimes being happy in your job is the most important consideration.

{Ed025's Note - very true mike..

Just like Lukaku reports say he's not happy at united and he wants away. That didn't take him long to fall out of his dream move.

Hasn’t exactly come from the most reliable outlets so I’d take this with a pinch of salt.

We had a tough game Sunday I know, and it's early days into the Revolution, but some players were well below par last night. If we want to compete with the big boys we need to improve and start showing some consistency. Yes Newcastle were difficult to break down, but we squandered chances to bury them and now the Fat Spanish Waiter is claiming it was a tactical masterstroke on his part. We have to get at Watford on Monday then show City and Spurs we don't fear them.

Agree with that BigH, i also have been saying the same thing, i think the writing could be on the wall for players like Lookman and Tosun who have had many chances to shine, it would maybe be a good time to loan Lookman out to someone like Southampton to get him up to par by playing regular footy in the premiership Tosun might also be loaned back to Turkey, some of the rags today saying we could be on the lookout for a right back due to a few poor performances by Seamus, not sure I agree with that one though, he has been a faithful servant for us and has got more to offer, personally i think Marco and Marcel will have this sorted come the January window especially as we have seen what they did in the last one, i certainly have only praise for what they have done so far ou team has changed beyond recognition to Sam's efforts.

I just don't get the downer on Seamus tbh. He's always been one of our most consistent players. Yes he was injured and it takes some time to get back to your previous best, but if you watch the games I think you'll see he's trying. Imo he's being let down too often by those he tries to link up like Theo who has trouble holding the ball up and does little if anything to help defensively.

Very frustrating game how they did not have at least one player sent off I don't know. We need to get striker as tosun does not look up for it I don't think he fits Silva system.
