Hi ed 02 if you have time do you know of any left backs everton are intrested in. Thank you.

bretto

{Ed002's Note - I would not rule out Patrick van Aanholt. It looks right now that MU will not get the player they want so Shaw will stay at least until the summer.}

1.) 07 Jan 2018 19:18:05
Thank you thought van aannholt might be option not keen on him.

2.) 07 Jan 2018 19:48:35
I was never to sure Everton would pay the sort of money United want for Shaw anyway. I like Rose of Spurs but also I reckon with Mr Levy doing the negotiating we would pay over the odds. Maybe Mr Alardyce has other 'names' in mind, we will have to wait and see.

07 Sep 2017 17:53:12
Niasse has been brought back in to to the squad hope he proves us all wwrong.

bretto

1.) 07 Sep 2017 18:55:58
I would be made up if he came good. His attitude was perfect last season. Good luck Oumar!

2.) 07 Sep 2017 20:29:39
I think most of us would live him to do well with how he has acted in a very difficult situation. Embarrasses lukaku and Barkley in my opinion.

3.) 07 Sep 2017 23:09:29
Mentioned this the other Day, glad Ronnie has done a uturn and prepared to give the guy another chance, might see us through to January, maybe even longer depending on the outcome, I think the guy was harshly treated but never whinged once, he got stuck into the u23 team, went out to Hull and got great praise from Unsworth, I really hope it works out for the guy.

4.) 08 Sep 2017 11:20:36
Not landing a striker has forced Ronnie hand, I remember last January when he didn't get the players he wanted and stuck Tom Davies in which at the time I thought he's done it to prove a point to the board, let's hope Niasse can do the same, though whether it was a lack of striker that forced the u turn, or the Barkley and Rooney episodes has made him back down on the player who knows, but glad the guy has got a chance to prove himself.

{Ed025's Note - i think it stinks of desperation myself baz..

5.) 08 Sep 2017 13:41:40
Desperate time call for desperate measures unfortunately. We can only hope he can pull it off.

6.) 08 Sep 2017 14:17:12
Maybe his confidence will improve now that Koeman has accepted him into the team. I hope so 'cause i would love for him to show his talents. After all he can score goals, under23's and Hull. Just needs a run of games not 5 mins here and there.

7.) 08 Sep 2017 12:54:53
Could be Ed, trying to make a point for the January window, I would like to think with the Barkley and then Rooney he has looked at Niasse and his attitude and prepared to give the guy a chance, let's not forget Ronnie judged the guy after a pre season, since then he's bedded in, played for a premier league team and I think given the chance he will knock a few in for us., then he will refuse to sign a new contract and go to Spurs on a free luck we have.

{Ed025's Note - love it baz..

8.) 09 Sep 2017 12:26:23
Too be honest I don't think he was ever given a first chance but what a decent guy, all the talk on how others treated our club and we gave them everything, this guy basically had everything taken away from him and here he is just wanting to play football. I hope he gets a good career with or without us.

{Ed002's Note - His problem has been settling and nothing more. Clubs were willing to give him a chance and the likes of Chelsea, Lille, Spurs, Manchester United and Newcastle all looked before Everton bit. If Everton can get him settled then they do indeed have a very good squad players on their hands.}

9.) 11 Sep 2017 00:08:31
Another 2 goals for Niasse today, mark my words in a year or so Unsworth will be the next Everton manager, he gets the players playing for him and seems to have a system set up we crave for in the first team rather than the unbalanced shite Ronnie keeps sticking to.

13 Aug 2017 19:43:21
Hi ed 02 do you know which strikers everton hold intrest and do you think we could go back in for zapata from napoli.

bretto

{Ed002's Note - Please read the posts.}

07 Aug 2017 12:52:21
Hi Ed 02 Do you know if we hold any interest in Patrick shick from sampdoria remember reading we were in for him but he was set for juve and he even had medical there but looks like it has collapsed.

bretto

{Ed002's Note - No, there is no Everton interest.}

1.) 07 Aug 2017 14:33:22
okay thanks ed.

2.) 07 Aug 2017 14:33:22
okay thanks ed.

06 Aug 2017 11:31:05
Welbeck and vermaelen linked no thank you good players but always injured.

bretto

1.) 06 Aug 2017 11:35:56
Always? So they never play?

2.) 06 Aug 2017 12:17:47
Think we should leave the team to R K, GuernseyBlue.

3.) 06 Aug 2017 12:33:49
They are injured quite bit welbeck vermaelen are very injury prone and have hardly played in last 2 years last 2 years leauge welbeck 27 games and vermaelen in last 3 years 20 games and is injured again now with knee injury.

4.) 06 Aug 2017 12:53:32
I would take them both with open arms Wellbeck has pace and we need that, also Vermaelen has experience really would be two excellent signings, Stop the negativity and enjoy what R K and the board are doing, GuernseyBlue.

5.) 06 Aug 2017 13:07:38
If koeman and Walsh want them fair enough mate I think these two just paper talk i do like welbeck he just so similar with sturridge class when fit. What your opinion ed 25.

6.) 06 Aug 2017 13:16:36
Welbeck when fit is a decent striker not prolific but works really hard and has pace which are front line needs but far to injury prone to be counted on me personally would go for Kruse he is good finisher and good in the air as for vermalen no way we would just be wasting money and wages in him especially when he would spend most of the time in the treatment room his injury record over the last few years give testament to why we should stay away from him.

7.) 06 Aug 2017 14:53:49
I agree duke summed welbeck and vermaelen perfectly kruse for 13 mil could be good shout along with another striker.

8.) 06 Aug 2017 17:56:49
Guernsey blue I don't think bretto is being negative it's moor just his opinion.

9.) 06 Aug 2017 19:28:02
Oops apologies to all, just that there has been so much negativity on here again lately, agree our team are starting to play some good football cheers, GuernseyBlue.

10.) 06 Aug 2017 20:51:11
Surprised West Ham aren't in for Vermaelen, given their track record of wasting money on injury plagued players.

Ed 25 do you think allardyce and Walsh be here in summer I do not. Unsworth could be off to oxford and koeman is set for Holland job.

bretto

{Ed025's Note - i certainly hope not bretto..

1.) 04 Feb 2018 15:17:20
I blame all this on walsh, said as soon as he come here, he got lucky on afew and that's it,

{Ed025's Note - he is obviously a decent scout BB, but as a DOF hes a waste of space mate..

2.) 04 Feb 2018 15:26:00
Just seems like dof hasn't worked at everton and most other prem club only tends to work in Spain.

{Ed002's Note - It has worked well at MC and Chelsea. It works well in Germany, Italy and France.}

3.) 04 Feb 2018 16:08:55
Director of Football is an excellent concept and does work well in Countries and at Clubs that understand the post. In our case it seems we have attempted to run before we can walk and certainly not done due diligence on the appointment made. It is very hard not to come over as being personal but Mr Walsh is not a DoF, it is as simple as that, he should have been appointed and remained his comfort zone playing to his apparent strengths.

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that mate..

4.) 04 Feb 2018 15:39:28
Fair enough ed 02 I know it worked very well at sevilla and we have been linked with psv director of football. Ed 02 do you belive sam will be in charge in summer or do u think everton will look for someone who can be there for next 3 to 5 years.

{Ed002's Note - I expect him to see out his contract Bretto.}

5.) 04 Feb 2018 15:50:57
It might well work in these places ed, but it definitely needs the right people in place. You have pointed this out before and it clearly shows in the way ours is being run.

6.) 04 Feb 2018 16:28:57
Ed002 do you have any information if Everton are actually looking at finding a new DOF? Do you have any idea who may be available and who would be a good fit?

{Ed002's Note - It was suggested a couple of weeks ago that Everton has an interest in Marcel Brands but I am not aware of any approach by Everton to PSV for Brands - although another English side did obtain permission to talk with him in late November. Common sense would dictate that Steve Walsh should go back to doing what he does best, but I suspect a demotion at Everton would not be something he would consider. There are a couple of people available who would do a good job but I don't want to suggest the names of people Everton has no interest in, or people who would not be interested in a move to Everton.}

7.) 04 Feb 2018 18:31:34
Thanks Ed 002, any chance that you would take the job please? You are the most knowledgable person about football I know. We could have a whip around if it means a drop in salary.

{Ed002's Note - Sadly I rather doubt the folks of Merseyside would accept me with "Oops Mrs Worthington" Cockney banter as I swagger along in my Pearly Queen outfit.}

8.) 04 Feb 2018 19:51:23
On the contrary Ed002, you would fit in very well with the pantomime that is Everton at the moment.

9.) 04 Feb 2018 20:09:41
Thanks for info ed 02 much appreciated.

10.) 04 Feb 2018 21:34:30
Only just hit me. As a Manager in my opinion no chance but as a DoF we couldn't go far wrong with one Mr Glen Hoddle.

11.) 04 Feb 2018 23:35:50
Dof must be a specialist job. When Michael emanalo (spelling) was at Chelsea before Monaco, I'd never heard of him at all before then. Did he have football background?
I'm not a fan of dof role. Much prefer the manager to have control of all aspects of the club a la Alex Ferguson at utd. He oversaw all that went on with the club from transfers to training to youth set up.
Just don't see the point of one. Have a commercial director for dealing with aponsorships etc and a person who negotiates transfers but in terms of identifying players that should be scouts and managers job.
Also manager should set a formation and playing style throughout the club, from under 9 to first team.

Ed 25 merry go round on way schneiderlin to west ham nzoni to us and mesa. Maybe besic could go swansea.

bretto

{Ed025's Note - i want a ticket to that ride bretto, nzonzi is definitely an upgrade on morgan for me mate..

1.) 29 Jan 2018 17:37:50
Mesa meant to be going sevilla so hopefully nzoni to us.

2.) 29 Jan 2018 18:51:26
The only thing that worries me is that it’s West Ham. They are always spouting off in the transfer window about who they were in for but couldn’t get over the line. And I fear this is yet another case of that.

I’d love to sell him for the reported £20 million. But it’s West Ham.

3.) 29 Jan 2018 21:08:35
With Gold and Sullivan it’ll be £1m up front and £19m in add-ons for them winning the champions league.

28 Jan 2018 13:58:05
Hi ed 25 do you think we will bring in lb and be intresting to see who leaves.

bretto

{Ed025's Note - im not sure about a LB bretto but i think we will try and get at least 1 new face mate..

1.) 28 Jan 2018 14:39:30
I still think Nzonzi will come plus a LB unfortunately not many around.

2.) 28 Jan 2018 15:08:04
Ye hard with lb will just see what happens garbutt might get added to squad and given chance till summer.

19 Jan 2018 17:47:02
Ed 25 bit gutted lennon is going but can see why vlasic lookman will be back up to theo and yannick. Hope lennon does well at Burnley he deserves it.

bretto

{Ed025's Note - at this stage of his career aaron needs playing time bretto, its obvious he wont get that with us so good luck to the guy..

1.) 19 Jan 2018 18:10:11
I agree ed hopefully can bring lb in and been good window.

2.) 19 Jan 2018 19:18:28
Hope we don't just give him away, still has a few good years left in him yet, players at any level in the prem come with a price tag.

17 Jan 2018 17:16:04
Walcott done hopefully he will add that bit of extra pace we have been lacking. Will be interesting to see were he fits into side.

bretto

1.) 17 Jan 2018 18:04:06
Has to be wing. Has to be. Just has to be. Would put him right and Bolasie left myself.

2.) 17 Jan 2018 18:05:50
Yes mate, I do like him, just hope Sam don't put him as goalkeeper? LOL.

3.) 17 Jan 2018 20:01:53
Is there a Theo Walcott other than the clockwork mouse that Arsenal bought from Southampton?

{Ed025's Note - you sound underwhelmed glen?, i think hes a good signing myself mate..

4.) 17 Jan 2018 22:03:33
Shout Stig :)

Also been linked with lozano and promes. Do you think we will bring a winger in ed 25. Also think tosun could be answer for us might take him couple months to adapt.

bretto

{Ed025's Note - we want a wide man and a left back bretto but who and if we get one is anyones guess mate..

Agree ed 02 he only just came and played 2 games equalling around 90 mins football it takes most players around 6 months to adapt. Just hope he given chance to adapt. Not like sandro klassen thrown straight into struggled both nearly went. Hopefully klassen gets chance.
