Hey Ed

Can you cut to the chase:
1. When is Bill finally actually leaving?
2, Why the pantomine of 2 days stated that did not occur.
3. Why was this ever said?
4. New investment brings in Bahrain money. Any bananas here?

Hemsby_BlueBlood!56

{Ed002's Note - 1. It is not known - in theory Moshiri could force Bill Kenwright out at reasonably short notice.
2. I don't know what the 2 days refers to, sorry.
3. I don't know who has said what, but I don't see the need to brief the fans until some sort of shape of the new structure is clear - and that is in hand.
4. It is not as simple as that, it brings in money from an American Sports Investment organisation that manage investment funds from around the world. The investment opens the opportunity for loans that could later be converted in to equity that would go a long way towards resolving the financial issues around finishing the new stadium that I have explained before - so the loans can be serviced by the club or Moshiri and other shareholders could transfer them to equity and giving the shares to MSP, thus watering down their holding. Given the change of circumstances that I have mentioned before, Mr Moshiro wants an early exut.}

My worry is that next season, the squad is going to be even thinner than it was last year. The club can’t sustain the current wage bill and is therefore hamstrung bringing new players in, well at least that’s my understanding of the situation. Even if a gazillionaire bought the club, the squad couldn’t have tons of money chucked at it could it? What sort of proposition is Everton at the moment to a potential player? Not a very attractive one unfortunately.

{Ed025's Note - i think the club still has the pulling power that a lot dont pierre, the history, the fan base and a very good manager, of course there are parts of the club that will put players off mate but im sure a lot of good players would bite your arm off to get the chance to make a difference..

2.) 23 Jun 2023 00:18:23
The Club will not be in the same situation.

3.) 23 Jun 2023 00:07:59
Love your optimism Ed025, bu realistically go long can we keep pulling on history? Last trophy was 1995, last decent foray in Europe was what, 2005/ 6?

Honestly speaking g those were the glory days for most supporters. The buyout has been nothing short of catastrophic. Tom Davies leaving freed up what, £20k-£30k a week? We’re still carrying probably half a million a week in wages for players who contribute nothing.

Would be happy to survive again next season (earlier than this one ideally) , by which time more contracts will be up, and they’re the bigger ones.

Tough times but until Kenwright goes and Moshiri either does too or let’s someone run the club who knows what they’re doing, I can see it getting any easier.

{Ed025's Note - you have to have a bit of optimism Windsor, its what keeps us going, it will be another tough season i expect mate but what else do we have but hope?..

4.) 23 Jun 2023 10:14:45
I think we have some pulling power but not like the old days, I think that was glaringly obvious when forest seemed to be a more attractive option than us when we were "apparently in for the same plsyer (s) ". Whether it's true I don't know, plus these days unfortunately money talks louder than a proud history. But I do think Dyche will push harder to get who he wants, more than frank did. So I'm a little more confident now than I was at the end of the season,

5.) 23 Jun 2023 10:25:20
US Govt website says $165m (£130m) raised by MSP EFC Investors. Hopefully that means the beginning of the end for Moshiri era at EFC. Obviously Bill is staying until new board is in position, as someone needs to be in charge of club day to day running.

6.) 24 Jun 2023 20:57:22
Have to agree with Woburn on this I'm afraid, I would predict more doom and gloom next season for the same reasons. Moshiri and kenwright remain, very poor squad worth little money and barley any money to spend on players. Already reams are making headway in signing players not everton though never do until we are on the verge of a new season. As for pulling power yep like a kia pianto pulling a 4 berth caravan.

31 May 2023 10:37:17
Just cutting through the noise as I will all fans are desparate for EVERTON to be better.

1. Am I right to think 6 or 7 are to be released due to End of Contract and the like? If so, would be right for those 3 to 4 good young players to be now named and given first team squad numbers?
2. 2 or 3 proven essential postion players (CF, Holding midfield and the like) . Yes, but NO wild spends on injured players please. Who picks these players for us? Look at Brighton and Brentford. What are they doing that we are not?
3. Reduce the % spent on players wages, fees and the like. Is it true EVERTON are at 92% of revenue? If so, reduce down to below 70%. The lowest in the EPL are at 30%!
4. Sean has done us proud. Surely another chance to excel rather than hearing about another manager from the Board.

Hemsby_BlueBlood!56

{Ed002's Note - 1. Everton have 8 players who will be out of contract in the summer - Coady (who they have an option to buy), Townsend, Lonegan, Begovic, Mina, Davies, Vinagre and Coleman.
2. There will be additions and young players will be promoted to the first team squad, but don't expect too much.
3. Everton have no way of doing that unless players leave.
4. I am sure it is being discussed.}

1.) 31 May 2023 11:22:26
Anyone else have the feeling that all of these crucial decisions will be held up by a potential takeover? I can see us scrambling to put together a competitive squad on deadline day. May need to depend on some of the youth coming through. I’d give Townsend another year - we lacked creative players, he can do a job off the bench.

2.) 31 May 2023 14:32:29
Possibly JBtoffee. I rather look at things practically than what I would like. Realistic perspective kind of thing, half predicting what will happen or what I would do type thing.

From the 8 players mentioned above by Ed002 I would try and sign Coady, coffers permitting obviously. Rather spend money up top. Begovic and Coleman I would give another year and possibly Townsend. Mina already said he was leaving so that's an easy decision.

As for the Davies, Vinagre and Lonergan, good luck. In my opinion it could very well be a good thing players going and making space for others. Especially for the youngsters.

For example it doesn't make sense with Braithwaite. Done exceptional on loan, Utd sending scouts, PSV wanting to buy him, Mourinho interested, he stated he'd listen to Liverpool. He's our player all these clubs are interested in him. Why don't we play him next season? Give him plenty of chances.

Other posters saying sell Onana. Obviously each to their own but in my opinion there is an awful lot else to sort out before you even think of Onana.

This would be my preference in order to improve on the team squad.
1. Striker (at least 1)
2. Attacking midfielder
3. Right back
4. Possibly Left back
5. Then other positions

Going to be a lot of chopping n changing over the summer. As a rule keep the young and get rid of deadweight is my opinion. At least the young may improve and if we buy too many in will it be any different than the last 6 - 7 years?

3.) 31 May 2023 14:33:48
Coamdy at 4.5 mill (if correct) is a no brainer. Mina is off, Vinagre is off, Davis probably. As Ed says there needs movements out before in.

4.) 31 May 2023 14:18:26
Have you any idea which players will be promoted to the first team Ed? I know I bang on about them, but Lewis Warrington, Tom Cannon and Reece Welch all look really promising to me.

{Ed025's Note - I’m not sure Pierre. Sean was reluctant to use youth in the run in and that was a call that could only be expected mate. I think it’s up to the lads themselves to show him why they should be considered in preseason and hopefully put up a good showing..

5.) 31 May 2023 17:11:40
yeah I totally understand them not being used during the run in, could have back fired massively. I think I said the same thing about not playing Simms up top against Bournemouth. Hope fully with a good pre season and some slow introductions, they will feature more Ed.

{Ed025's Note - yeah that would be nice pierre, i imagine a lot will depend on who or maybe if we bring new players in, he might be forced to use youngsters mate if we get a transfer embargo you never know..

6.) 31 May 2023 18:15:47
Ed02, if we were to have those 8 players go, how much would the 92% come down?

I’m assuming there would be a fair few more that would need to go to get us below 70%. That or some sort of miracle of higher income comes in from somewhere.

{Ed002's Note - it is not possible to calculate as there will be additions. The damage has already been done of course. And there may be a need to buy at least one player off.}

7.) 31 May 2023 18:50:48
I'd definitely keep cody if possible, at the price it would be crazy not to!

8.) 31 May 2023 20:26:16
Do the Ed’s know if the money coming in from Kean and the 45m from Gordon is available or has that been used elsewhere? .

{Ed002's Note - It is not how the finances work.}

No no no stay and take the pain ?.

Press confirm the new manager is appointed. I simply don't know what to think. A fighter for the next 16 matches or future survival with nothing to aspire too?

Hemsby_BlueBlood!56

1.) 27 Jan 2023 16:16:46
I find our position similar to Villas at the end of Randy Lerners days. Scraping survival every year until eventually it all caves in. I'm indifferent to relegation as its going to happen sooner or later.

26 Jan 2023 16:00:54
Gordon having a stroopy beat on the ground and in abstentia to force a move away. Straight back lad. Into the empty gaffa office and submit the paperwork will ya?

Ed Will Gordon be sold? Newcastle are beleiving that.

Hemsby_BlueBlood!56

{Ed025's Note - I’m not sure hemsby. I think we missed the boat in the summer but he’s playing like he wants away mate..

1.) 20 Jan 2023 11:30:56
If the papers are to be believed, they want him and Gordon for the same total that Chelsea were apparently willing to pay just for Gordon six months ago.

Personally I’d sell them both sharpish, but again shows the incompetence of the board and manager to insist a player stays who wants to leave, contributes nothing but yellow cards then potentially leaves for half what was allegedly offered the previous window.

2.) 20 Jan 2023 12:13:09
Playing like he wants away from football entirely Ed? Watching him these last few months i don't see why anyone would want him.

{Ed025's Note - he seems to have lost his mojo NP, i think the best thing for both parties would be for him to move on mate..

I wish to share my minds thoughts just right now.
1. Why on earth did we EFC ever want a manager from the other side of the city? Its given rise to a corpulence of defeatism.
2. Is it a truism that "What will be, will be"? So Championship pies to look forward to then? Please EFC rise to the fight.
3. My natural optimstic charactersitic is on vacation and game days are nothing but an aberation. Please do give me multple future 90mins of unbearable exubearance.
4. Half the season is still to play for. Lamapard has a secret plan. Let it show!
5. Everton players are an oppressed minoroty obviating their strong desire to play for some other team. Those who have erred, know that pulling on that famous blue is not a right. Not working for it is a defect supporters smell a mile off Better to just to leave.
6. This great instution that is EFC is being drained of its lifes blood and all will be lost before too long unless a miracle happens. The unexplained does happen.
7. EFC managers of old always looked to the youth in the U18 and U21'S for a securable future. Is there no such force available now? I can't believe that.

How do we know that any lie was voiced by the Board? Just where is the evidence? It is safer to look at the action. The result lokks bad but frankly the acoustic of that player's name or another player felt flat and we have all suffered extinguishment of hope. No, its up to the players we have and the expectation that Mr Dyche will perform a miracle. And yes, we will support him.

If I look at F1 they have provided good support to allow Maclaren win the occasional race. EFC would crave that thing called winning.

Yes the views are so correct. However, the ethics of someone who had a medical and agreed a contract with advisors indicates someone not wanted at this club. It is spineless. Its about ethics. It starts at the bootom to the top. Poor ethics will eventually destroy you. Its is not for us to be shamed. It is for the individual involved to examine his conscience and examine his motive. Life has a funny pattern of levelling out.

Agreed. Shareholders Assoc tabling no confidence in board will accelerate moves to sell. That and in the search for a minority owner of the new stadium proving difficult are ingrediants for current owner to sell and cut.
