Now that I have allowed myself to cool down after becoming (ir) rationally angry, I have found the silver lining.

We were poor today, we were sloppy, missed at least 3 sitters and failed to look convincing against 10 men. I don't know that any of the starters impressed me. That being said, we created a lot of good chances, on a better day and without a terrible VAR call, we score 4 or 5.

That being said, we won, and that is what good teams do. How many times have we seen Arsenal, City, even Liverpool win games where they have looked woeful. And how many times have we looked the better side but not gotten the 3 points. These are signs of a good team that finds a ways to win.

I also do not think we are healthy at the minute and a 3 week break will allow the likes of Grealish and Garner to get fit because both are clearly not 100%. Barry could also probably use a rest.

When we restart, I fully expect Dibling and George to be getting starts over Johnson, and if Grealish isn't fit yet then they should both be starting (how exciting would it be to see two 20 year olds on the wings with a teenager in the midfield) . In my mind, KDH is one or two poor performances from losing a starting job, I am surprised we didn't see Charly today.

If/when this team starts to click, we can be very dangerous. Let's enjoy our 3 week break and be pleased with the beginning of the season. UTFT.

Really pleased with our win today and well done to the Lads, could we have done better, certainly we could but no game is easy ask Arsenal or Spurs, DM has a bit of a rag tag 19 to pick from and we could have buried them with a couple of decent strikers, but it is what it is, up to 5 th ow and with no footy for three weeks till we meet Hull, Happy Days.

Good 3 points up to 5th tough against Ipswich but we had several chances to kill the game off but no strikers well happy with today.

Two really poor teams playing a game of football.

We could have won that game if KDH had a modicum of intelligence. Slide Barry in and he has a open goal, side-foot finish to get the 3 points.

Mykolenko was s**** as per.

Why Hackney didn't come on sooner to inject some urgency is beyond me.

Garner is clearly still nowhere near 100% and is aware of that himself and playing within himself.



Armstrong had a poor game today.

KDH continues to get 90 mins even though he was diabolical. Again, he shows signs of tired legs and still doesn't come off for an Alcaraz or Dibling.

Johnson utter dross.

George utter dross.

Barry, tried his best but no support tonight.

A well-earned point, but I must say Pickford's distribution these days is awful, either straight to a defender or a throw-in. He used to land it on a horseshoe but couldn't hit the horse.

On the bad side: Pickford’s distribution was poor today. Barry, well, he was just Barry. Johnson looks way off and fluffed our best chance. How he stayed on in front of George, I do not know. I know this may sound a bit off, but I don’t think KDH has been too good so far this season. Is our only RB out after 1.5 games?! On the good side: Very good defensive display across the back.

For me, Hackney looks good and deserves a start. Garner looked better today and will get fitter and better (as we know) . Armstrong is playing well beyond his years. The experience he is getting bodes well for the future. Anyone else think Grealish should start in the 10 position?
