Honestly Southgate is an absolute tit. Poor lad, has an unbelievable season in the PL, already has a partnership with the England no.1, left footed and still can't get in that England squad.

Seem to recall the exact same thing happened to Ben Godfrey at the last Euros and he was never the same after that. But Branthwaite doesn't strike me as the kind who would let it get to him. Only worry is, that it convinced him he needs a move.

Dunk’s not had the best season, and was very poor in a couple of recent England games. I’m biased of course, but I thought Branthwaite would go.

He has been the worst defender this season out of the lot JB and by some margin.
I understand Konsa and Gomez as they are versatile and can cover many of the backline positions. I even understand Guehi as he is young, can play with the ball on the deck (minus that bad pass the other night) . But to pick Dunk over Branthwaite, when he is 31 and $h1te is absolutely baffling. As you rightly said too, he made an absolute howler for us against Belgium recently. I would rather have Slabhead than Dunk, at least he has performed well for England when called upon.

Keeps picking Maguire and would have again if he wasn’t injured.
I’m not interested in internationals anyway so not bothered either way. Haven’t watched England’s men since ‘98 and don’t think I will again. The women seemed to play a better style of game and much easier to watch.
