People that criticise England or don't follow England make me laugh get behind you're nation and to the doubters aswell if England did win it and I say if bet you would all be out celebrating it where scouse not English mentality really annoys me no wonder we don't win anything when few people in our city don't class us as being part of England nobheads.

Have never celebrated or even smiled at an England goal in my life

I watch international tournaments and the odd friendly (if I’m bored) but international football in general is beyond dull and the England national team is no different.

For me ill watch to see how an Everton player gets on if playing same as with any other nation but personally find it really hard to follow England passionately as I feel a hypocrite when I do maybe not so much these days but certainly a few years ago when I'll be honest I'd sing derogatory songs about Gerrard Lampard Terry Cole etc when they played club football against Everton but then was suddenly expected to support them fully as there playing for England that didn't sit well with me.

Scouse not English is how I was brought up. England do not interest me either. I’ll watch the games and the tournament purely out of interest of my love of football. Also hopefully to pick out a few gems anyone remember how good that guy for Bosnia was that tournament when he had messi in his arse pocket… Besic was his name haha. Couldn’t resist.

I’m not fussed Andyefc. I stopped watching England after 1998 as found the international games repetitive and boring in style. I discovered union in the early 2000s so now watch domestic football and international rugby. England just seem, well, boring to watch in my opinion.

Just look at the England fans singing "we all hate scousers" and maybe you'll understand why us scousers have NO interest in that team. As for patriotic? The only place the riot act has been read in this country is in Liverpool. Also the managed decline of liverpool and you believe we should show patriotism? Haha don't make me laugh.

Going out for a pint last night and seeing all the obnoxious, noisy, paralytic England fans inside and outside the pubs reminded me why I'm not bothered at all if England don't progress in any tournaments!

{Ed0666's Note - I think there’s many fans that feel the same way. For me I also growing up in the 70’s and 80’s there was a big racist element supporting England which stopped a lot of budding non Caucasian fans like myself from following the national team. I particularly remember a couple of incidents that happened to me that left a sour taste in the mouth which consequently prohibited me from being a supporter. Unfortunately I’ve heard this story too many times from black and Asian fellas.

It's both sad and unacceptable that there is still so much racism in the world. The sad part is it looks like it won't end soon. Certainly not in my/ our lifetimes and most probably not in our childrens. All we can do is keep chipping away at showing these morons that it can't be tolerated.

I find international football to be boring. We get deceived by having to play qualifying games against "lesser" teams then struggle against the better teams when it matters most.
As for the scouse not English shouts, I've never bought into that myself. Politics and football just don't mix for me! It's the tory government that have raped and pillaged the city of Liverpool, not the national football squad.

Agree with all of these comments. Missed the england game, had a day out with the wife and daughter to matlock bath instead. I especially don't find England England entertaining to watch not since 96 anyway! Loved the holland ukraine game though!
