Who books our pre-season frindlies?
Whilst every other Prem team coins it in with far flung destinations and top tier teams, we travel to Coventry. Anyone would think we don't need the money.
{Ed002's Note - It largely works the other way around, with clubs, local FAs running tournaments, FAs, sponsors approaching the clubs to play. I suspect another three will be announced.}

Not just from a financial point of view does it make sense to play friendlies in the uk it also allows fans who may not get to goodison park the opportunity to see the team.
You also know that the UK based teams will put up a decent game and provide a competitive encounter, unlike some of the European friendlies.

It's about growing the 'brand' of Everton too though isn't it? I think the population of Preston already know we exist.
Anyway, my lad's already told me I'm taking him to the Coventry game so there'll be at least two fans there.
