{Ed025's Note - i dont know if he was being ironic BigH or not?, i think we can all see the improvement and that as a club we are moving forward mate...if not your comment is spot on..

I apologise Ed. I shouldn't let it but it irritated me. As you say he could just be being ironic.

{Ed025's Note - i would like to think so anyway BigH..

I'm really looking forward to the United game. 9 games played and we have W 4 D 3 L 2

They have W 4 D2 L3 . Are goal diff of +3 to their -1 shows that we have absolutely nothing to fear going there.

Of course it's early days in the season but it's refreshing to be heading to old Trafford with a team that on paper can more than compete with them.

Last time we won at old Trafford we were above them in the league and had a new manager in his first season.
If we beat these on Sunday that will be 4 on the bounce and we can seriously look forward rather than backwards.
I really can't see us sitting back and I can see us dominating this game.
We have hit form at just the right time for this game. We can go and do this and show them our intent this season.
This is the hurdle we have fallen at so many times in the past, esp when on a good run, so for me this game has extra significance and importance.

I've read this morning that Clattenburg has backed Anthony Taylor in awarding the penalty for the foul on Zaha. I'm not saying I disagree but in the whole piece there is not a single mention of the rugby tackle on Richarlison in the area that should have seen us given a penalty! I just wish these so called experts would cover the whole story!

Yes but what do you expect from crooked Clattenberg and Sky who have little interest in us most of the time. Wait until the weekend the build up will be 90% United, and the after match assessment whatever the result.

Allardyce’s latest comments: “Sergio Busquets is no better than Eric Dier really”. I shudder every time I remember he was our manager and there was actually fans who wanted him to see out his contract. Those same fans were probably the ones who wanted Silva out after 7 games.

Not exactly Everton related but international break and Lukaku saying he wants to play for Juventus.
Ooh what fond memories we had of international breaks.

Bit of fun I saw on twitter before based on Everton's season so far:

Best player:
Best goal:
Best new signing:
Best moment:
Biggest disappointment:
Biggest surprise:

For me.

Best player: Sigurdsson
Best goal: Sigurdsson vs Leicester
Best new signing: Richarlison (so far)
Best moment: Being in the away end for Sigurdsson's worldie, must have fallen forward about 6 rows
Biggest disappointment: West Ham game, was a p*ss poor result
Biggest surprise: How little we seem to have missed Baines, mainly because of the quality of Digne

Over to you lads and lasses ;)

Very difficult that one Trev since I've seen many greats like Alex Young, Dave Hickson and Alan Ball. You might be surprised that I would pick Tony Kay. Even though he only played for us 57 times in the 1962-64 seasons due to the Wednesday "fix" he was an outstanding midfielder, hard as nails, wish he had played for us longer. Need someone like him (without the problems) today.

{Ed002's Note - One would have expected Dixie Dean to be top of the list for many.}

11 Oct 2018 17:45:35
True, Ed but I kept it to those players I actually watched play. My Dad did see Dixie play and as you say he would be top of the list.

tony kay, horrible man flicked me in the testicles when we were boarding coach for training, i was just a kid.

22 Oct 2018 10:30:21
just out of people i have seen play mine would be tim cahill, utter legend of a man.

Trevor Steven for consistancy over a long career both with us and at other clubs. He won a trophy in nearly every season he played. Whether with Everton, Burnley, Rangers or Marseille. Something quite extraordinary really. Every season his clubs were either willing titles or coming runners up and cup winners. No bad season in his whole career.

{Ed025's Note - great player degs, mine would actually be bob latchford as it was a great time in my life when he was at his pomp..

Great to see match of the day giving us a minute of coverage per goal scored. Once we are winning 15-0 we should get the same coverage as the likes of Chelsea UTD and liverpool.
