Any one know exactly how much cash we have to raise from player sales before the 30th June to avoid further problems with FFP.

£1.50 GB 😂.

I don't know but if I remember weren't we something like -£90m in the last accounts?

{Ed002's Note - They are not the same accounts that are used.}

No one on this site

The worrying thing is probably no one at Everton either.

EFL SIGNINGS FOR LEEDS UNITED

20 May 2024 07:39:07
{Ed's Note - Dillinger has posted a new article entitled, EFL SIGNINGS FOR LEEDS UNITED

This one is controversial I know but.
If ManUtd want Braithwaite, how would we feel if it was £30 million plus Mason Greenwood?
Obviously he would be a deeply divisive signing but if he banged in 20 league goals would we all ignore what a horrible young man he is?

The majority here would be happy for a questionable state to buy us from FM so what's the difference?

Agree0 0Disagree

20 May 2024 06:43:48
Not in a million years.

Even ignoring his personal issues, 8 goals for Getafe doesn't scream 20 goals for Everton.

Once again VAR but it's the people that run it we were done here today, we played well and full credit to the Team, bar that dopey pass from Young of course.

Agree0 0Disagree

19 May 2024 20:17:38
We moan like anything as do Managers but I bet the Clubs keep VAR after the vote.

19 May 2024 21:34:16
I think they have to dfs; it’s the future! Problem is: it’s used in a way that makes no sense.

Surely, you stick with the ref’s decision unless VAR see’s something otherwise. Do offside from the furthest foot forward. Goal line tech seems to be fine. As for handball, play it at real time and see if it changes the outcome of the passage of play.

Today should have been simple but the ref went against the evidence. Oh well. On to next season.

19 May 2024 20:54:07
Yep I reckon VAR will stay.

When Young was signed, everyone realised the physically he was past his prime but he was signed for his "smarts", his positional play and his ability to play the right pass.

Agree1 0Disagree

19 May 2024 19:43:47
He also can play 5 positions. Maybe not well but saves the club a lot of money. Not saying its right or perfect.

Agree0 0Disagree

19 May 2024 20:22:51
Ha ha ha brilliant. You guys have to be taking the p**s. Ability to play the right pass, plays five positions but not good. Love it.

19 May 2024 21:35:23
He played a great pass today that lead to the goal. Absolute tosh. Get rid as probably on stupid wages.

It's a handball, that's it, didn't ricochet off anything. He gained an advantage from it hitting his arm. Great performance, i'd written us off. UTFT!

{Ed025's Note - yeah Bobby. We were cheated mate..

Agree2 0Disagree

19 May 2024 18:25:04
We were cheated but leading up to it we were once again totally negative.

19 May 2024 18:26:52
Just read that VAR said it was handball but Michael Oliver obviously thought otherwise.

Just wondering about Smith Rowe of arsenal, scores goals, can play as a winger or number 10, what's the chances of us getting him on loan, arsenal don't want him, I think he would be perfect as a replacement for dacoure, probably way out of our league but dreaming is ok now and again.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 12:35:36
Think be a very good signing BluePasty. He as the graft too. Don't think he would be totally out of our reach as well .

Definitely a case that we need to utilise our 2 loan slots a lot shrewder next season and actually try improve the first 11 with both.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:17:44
That’s the sort of players we will be looking to bring in, young and hungry.

Agree3 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:25:26
May suit Arsenal to loan him too. Type of deal I can imagine we’d look at and in a position (10) we desperately need.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:56:41
Not for me gents.

Fantastic player but has a worse injury record than DCL.

3926 minutes played out of a possible 17100, across 5 seasons of football. 322 minutes this season. 161 last season. His best season being 1909.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 16:35:59
Best season was 1909?! How old is he?

{Ed001's Note - going by that, just a couple of hundred years younger than Ed25.}

Wander and Pasko have resigned from their positions in 777.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 11:41:39
They’re a pair of crooks and should not be anywhere near our club.

{Ed002's Note - It leaves Everton with a huge problem.}

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 12:58:02
Have to wonder what Moshiris fascination with 777 was/ is all about.

{Ed025's Note - i have a feeling there will be an Usmanov connection with 777 DFS, or is that just my nasty mind mate?..

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:18:44
It’s mine as well mate they have been buddies for years.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 20:12:53
Well they were my thoughts ED25 but ED002 did say to another comment on the Russian connection, that someone was teasing them. We are on very tenuous ground here, with Government sanctions etc! But these are incredibly powerful people some more than Countries. Governments can say what they like but even ours is somewhat neutered beyond our own financial borders.

{Ed025's Note - i have a certain distrust of people with lots of money mate, there is something dodgy with all of them and how they gained their wealth be it tax dodging, ripping people off or even things more sinister...if you have more than me you are a crook in my book.. :)

Agree1 0Disagree

18 May 2024 18:06:35
Ed02 does it still leave a huge problem if msp take over an turn the 200+ million into shares.

{Ed002's Note - You don't understand I am afraid. You can't turn other people's debt in to shares.}

Does insanity effect all those who do Everton player squad deals.
Ashley Young is to be offered a new contract, are we running a football team, or a home for OAPs?

18 May 2024 09:06:49
Well our new ground does have zimmer parking.

18 May 2024 10:44:31
He’s been one of our more consistent players this season, and whilst we’d all love to be signing players I believe our financial predicament will prevent this.

If it’s on a relatively lowish wage and allows a youngster to develop alongside him then it makes sense given our situation.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 11:29:04
From all accounts he’s been amazing in the dressing room and a real leader, which is what we’ve lacked for years. There’s probably a view to him taking on a coaching role at some point too. It’s one year and it’s cheap and he can play in several positions . I think it’s fair enough. Let’s not forget we’re in real financial trouble.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 12:38:28
Yep Swinners. He is experienced and a calming figure, squad player yes, need limit his playing time. Expect a few more Young like signings this summer, free and experienced. Where we are at currently.

18 May 2024 13:16:04
Consistent player, Lewisham wage? I don’t think so.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:20:45
It’s as Gingerdan says also in his right position he has played ok and is fit, plus plenty of experienced.

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 13:27:56
If he’s a positive influence, and a bench player, I suppose he’s good value, and can play many positions. He was consistent- consistently poor!

Agree0 0Disagree

18 May 2024 19:43:36
He’ll be on a fortune for a liability of a player. He’s another Holgate/ Keane type. Get rid and get in some one who can defend without his bookings or giving away silly fouls or potential penalties. Madness to offer him a contract.
