I am gutted but if stones wants to go let him go, we don't need players at the club who are not 100% committed to EFC! I believed Martinez when he said he was not for sale and was planing to have a squad with stones in it but if the player doesn't want to be there then what do we gain from keeping an unhappy player? John stones needs to listen to the likes of lukaku and realise how hard it is to brake into the Chelsea team. If its happening let's get it done quick and get about improving everton football club because morale will be shot! I hope the board back Martinez now and give him the money and we invest in some decent players, no bargain players some top draw players.

No,no,no, you are completely wrong. We don't need the money and certainly haven't got the time to spend it properly if we did.
He will be fine once the window has closed. If he chooses not to play against Spurs, that's not the end of the world. He will soon buckle down once he realises it's not going to happen and then in a years time, with more money around, we will get £50 mill and then get the cover we want in our own time. Also Galloway, Browning will be a year older and wiser.
Just keep cool heads - all will work out fine.

It's only a pre season friendly but I didn't see anything there to suggest we are going to improve on last season. Disappointing performance from an almost full strength squad. Need some fresh faces who are good enough to take people's place in the squad now and create some competition. Go and offer Chelsea some money and take Remy off their hands, sitting there doing Nothing at them, could be a hero for us!

I know it's only early in the window and most rumours are just rumours, but I'm not impressed with some of the players we are being linked with. The likes of N doye an S ameobi, why are we after these players when the likes of Austin, Remy, Payet, konoplyanka, Cabaye to name a few are available. Some have suggested they would rather play here or there but isn't that down to Everton to show some ambition and make them a decent offer and not bottle out because they want a decent wage. We don't want players taking the micky out of the club, but we do want to progress and I just can't see that happening with the bargain basement players. We might just switch on one day an pay the going rate.

They are being picky because these players wouldn't be happy with 70 grand a week as they want a 100 grand p/w

Rumours are just rumours they are there to sell papers and get people looking at websites. We don't have a clue who the club wants to sign so why get hung up if Journos report its messi or ameobi. Journos look at our track record and pick who they think is likely to get the most readers. Just wait and see who the club signs you will either be pleased or not as the case may be.

Bill needs to come out and explain why he's sticking with this absolute clown! It's actually embarrassing watching us now! His decisions are baffling his substitutions are ridiculous, why take Atsu or Naismith off when we are behind? Taking creative players off! How can alcaraz go from being solid against Newcastle to dog crap tonight! Saying all that though blues at some point the players need to stand up and be counted for, no one else can do it for them! But as usual we always let ourselves down!

The euro tramps league was keeping him in a job, he should have been sacked in January. Let's hope there are 3 worse teams than us come May. Alcaraz was shaky against Newcastle in my opinion, I thought Stones would have been back in tonight instead of that clown. Embarrassing result but we need to concentrate on league form til the end of the season and then, hopefully, the spanish fraud will be shown the door

Would love us to come out of the blocks flying tonight! Play with two proper wingers in mirallas and Lennon and have gibbo spraying balls about. Besic and macca tidying things up and hopefully jags and stones can stay awake and alert for the full 90+ mins!
Can't have no one feeling sorry for themselves tonight, need to battle for every first and second ball, put some challenges in and not be so nice!
3 points is a must regardless of how tough stoke are!
