Points deduction sounds like a real treat.

Would not surprise me, our management could not organize a p. -up in a brewery. I am beginning to blame Kenwright, 25 years without winning anything and all he has done is lead us to this, financial problems, a useless and worthless team and relegation on the horizon. Hopefully he will just go and leave the running of the club to the manager and new DOF, and keep Moshiri away as well.

Genuinely not assed anymore tbh. I’ve been convinced of relegation since November.

Do any eds know how probable, and if so, when points, would be deducted?

{Ed002's Note - It is p;ossible rather than probable at the moment.}

Any of the Ed’s heard anything about this? . I’m hoping it’s just the daily fail sensationalising something again for a few column inches.

{Ed002's Note - Everton have a significant FFP issue and are carrying significant debt. A points deduction is possible if the profit and sustainability rules are broken.}

Am I right in thinking that if it does come to a points deduction that it will impact us next season not this?

{Ed002's Note - Not really. If they are charged by the Premier League it would then go through a period of negotiation and then appeal - that could drag it out to next season but easily see any deduction increase. There were talks between the Premier League and the club in December or January. So right now, nobody knows.}

Cheers Ed, appreciate the reply.
Unbelievable that we’ve got into this situation as surely there should have been someone in charge of finances keeping an eye on this sort of thing.

{Ed002's Note - obviously the club will argue that the impact of COVID was worse than imagined even after the relaxation of the rules, but it may not be enough. They could seek a stay and propose recovering by the end of this season by proposing sales.}

Cheers Ed - unfortunately the way we are playing and majority of players performing doubt we’d raise much from sales.

Hopefully we manage to survive this season and the club use this whole experience as a wake up call and sort themselves out - probably wishful thinking though.

{Ed002's Note - Callvert-Lewinsky and Richarlison would make a big dent.

Is calvert-lewinsky related to Monica? She was good going down, too, just like we may, unless they start fighting to stay up.
