Who is to blame for the current mess we find ourselves in?

The Manager
The Board
The Players
The Recruitment

For me, it's the board.

The board. They recruit the manager.
The manager. He buys the players, sets the tactics and how he wants us to play.
The recruitment. Buy young talent then move it on or loan it out. Buy older players who have no sell on value and who you can’t build a team around.
The players. In the past have come to the club because they have been offered ridiculous money. The fact their not good enough is not really their fault. Their agents are simply getting the best deal they can for their client. You buy a donkey don’t expect it to win the Derby. And we have bought a lot of donkeys.

By the very fact we have fallen foul of FFP then the Board must take the blame, poor management of the clubs business, they are also the ones that recruit the manager and sanction player purchases!
All those BK haters that criticised in the Moyes era need to look again and realise that wishing for a wealthy owner may not always be the best answer!

1.Previous DoF for rank poor signings for high prices
2.Current manager for playing nonposession football
3.Sam Allardyce for answering the phone
4.Iwobi.

ToffeeAce - what’s Sam allardyce got to do with our current situation?

As much as many fans didn’t like his appointment he kept us from going down and whilst the football wasn’t the greatest to watch the players did actually play for him and gave more effort than I am currently seeing from some of them.

Gingerdan. The whole post is tongue in cheek. You can see that right?

He cost us £50m on Walcott and tosun. One of which then cost us 100k a week for a couple of years, and the other is only just about to finish costing us silly money every week.4 years on. Given that our financial situation is utterly dire, I'd say that's a fairly negative contribution.

No team has been relegated in the month of November in Premier league history. The appointment of SA was a knee jerk reaction, the board was in panic mode appointing him. Terrible manager, horrible man.

Agree BP and as has been mentioned he bought Walcott and Tosun for 50m. Two players who contributed nothing and went or are going for nothing.

At least they will be off the wage bill and give us a bit of breathing room soon, Woburn.
It's the fault of Moshiri imo. As ed002 told us repeatedly, the man was taking bad advice for too long. This has cost him a few hundred million so it was an expensive mistake to make. I feel kind of sorry for him in this regard, he came in and wanted to spend his cash to take us to the next level. He has backed every manager with cash and then that was wasted. Hopefully, lessons have been learned and, after tightening our belts for a bit, we can spend more wisely in future. Fingers crossed anyway!
