So it does look likely he will be our first signing. Played decently well for Villa last season and fans weren't happy he wasn't offered a new deal I'm led to believe. His age is obviously against him at 38 but he does have a lot of experience and does provide cover.

Just had a catch up with a mate who's a villa season ticket holder. Said he's a good signing. Still very fit and able to get up and down play a full 90. Not happy he was let go.

Think if come the end of the window this allows us to put a bit more money into some more important positions it's sensible business. Can also cover RB if ColemanPatterson keep getting injured.

The changing room is bereft of leaders and we’ve let Mina and Coady go, so he’s the type of experienced player that we need. Low risk (depending on wages) so why not.

Could be worse, he is only 38, I am 83! However I can do something he can't, that is shoot my age at golf!
If he becomes an Everton player I will support him providing he gives everything he has for the club regardless of his age. What we don't want is another over-the-hill player who is at the club for a final payout and gives nothing to the club, we have had enough of those over the past few years.

It's a 1 year contract, free signing, loads and loads of experience, plays 2 positions, been around winners a lot, if his contract is not too overly high, its a great signing as frees funds for other places, one I don't get that keeps getting mentioned is Heaton, why do we want and need him of true,

Should be

Striker (rodregio from Leeds 3 mil, can score in a poor Leeds team)
Striker ( as to be the right one, spend what we can get a good young Striker that we can keep and develop more, but can play now) don't have a clue who but it's what we need

What happened to the Dembélé rumours? He's free and was worth a shot, or he gone somewhere else.

38 is no age BR2022-23, it really isn't. 40 onwards you lose muscle mass so have to box clever with training. He will be good cover.

People just don't get it, we have limited funds, if we had money do you think we would go for young, of course not but people say backward ect, no this is what positions we are in, we need money for attack, so players like young will give us cover and let's not say he's rubbish because he played a big chunk of the season for villa, he may just be a starter . so let all stop watching football manager and start getting in to the real world where money is tight .

Not sure about that dfs - in elite sport, very few make it to their mid 30s. I don’t see many premier league teams with fullbacks with a combined age of 70….
