Nothing unexpected to be honest. We don't really need anyone in the short term with players coming back from injury we have a big enough squad to see us through to the end of the season and still be reasonably competitive.

{Ed025's Note - i would like to see a playmaker or another forward brought in myself sa, but that i suppose would only happen if we get rid of some fringe players and so that would mean towards the end of the window mate..

I can’t see it myself.
If they sell kenny we are left with Coleman - likely needing x2 RB in the summer.

If we sell Kean and Toson we are left with injured DCL and Simms

I think we need a RB and forward if we sell. Different if we were 10th - no way we should sell Toson unless we have someone to bring in (or cancel Kean’s loan which is never going to happen)

Sell - Kenny, Besic, Bollasi, Kean, Walcott
Magic if we could get Aaron’s in and loan him back til end of season to Norwich

Sell Toson if we can get a forward in (who is better than Toson - Josh King / Milik (Milik for me)

In summer sell Delph, Davies, Pickford Beni sigi

- address Richarlison if not putting effort in still (wonder if he has been injured last few games - he looks unhappy though) - saint Maximim from NUFC could be an option as well ascGordin coming through

Depends on who we can get rid of, and who’s available. If the right player was available, I’m confident that Brands/ Moshiri would move on it.

We’re reportedly close to signing young Bayern striker Joshua Zirkzee on loan with a view to a perm. If true it looks like a fantastic deal by Brands.

I would also love to see a couple come in just can't see it happening with the squad we have at the moment. Even if we sell Bernard, Kenny and Tosun if everyone stays fit we do have enough short term. So I can see why there may be a reluctance bring in additional players this window.

Just throwing it out there, do we need a right back? I was thinking Aaron's would be a great addition however, branthwaite just gone on loan to Blackburn (looks a quality future CB) leaves us with mina and keane who are both playing well and holgate and godfrey, however am I right that godfrey can play RB? (Could be totally wrong as I know he has covered for digne) digne is our 1st choice lb but the young Frenchman seems like a quality understudy. Holgate can play rb? Maybe Ancelotti wants to adapt him to play there?
Now thinking rb isn't actually a priority (again forgive me I could be totally wrong lol)
I'm not an advocate of pickford but he's been ok of late, Olson good understudy.
Still think we are missing a midfielder with some quality to unlock a defence and obviously a striker or forward that can play across a front 3.
Dont think sigurdsson or davies are reliable enough. Iwobi having a stormer means i think the following will go (eventually! )
-Besic
-lossl
-Bolasie
-Kean to psg
-Kenny
-Walcott
-Bernard not cut it and iwobi keeps him out

I don't rate davies or sigurdsson but I think those above will go way before sigs and davies. I think Ancelotti is getting a tune out of sigurdsson and using him quite well. I think the reality is he's going nowhere as he can be utilised within the squad and we will never recoup anything like the 40 odd mill we paid for him!
