Is it true JB has agreed terms with Man U.

{Ed002's Note - What it likely means is they have told his representatives that financial package they propose and he has accepted it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed.

Let's hope we tell united what financial package we want for him to leave and they accept!

{Ed002's Note - It will be a matter of negotiation.}

Yep as reported by Alex Cross the TalkSPORT transfer correspondent although his agents are happy with the deal offered, we value Branthwaite at £70m plus whereas United think £40-50m is a suitable price. We have said no one is going anywhere unless our valuation is met and they want to go. So unless United or someone else stump up the cash he won’t be leaving. If memory serves me correctly didn’t Kevin Thellwell come from spurs, so he’ll be used to bargaining hard having worked for Levy .
Hope JB stays but £70plus million is a lot to build with and ease the books.

Saying £80 million this morning, would love to know how many millions we have to settle before end of June to balance our books.

{Ed002's Note - It will need to be lower than that after negotiation.}

There'll be a middle ground between 40 and 70 you'd think. If the player knows about the interest from Man U, he'll be pushing to go and it would seem inevitable that he will. Real shame. It's widely accepted that we need to balance FFP before 30th June and this should go a long way to doing so. Hopefully, after 30th June we can talk more about incomings.

Doesn't that count as tapping him up?
If he does leave then it'll probably be around £55 million plus add ons. I think ManUtd will be another stepping stone to one of Europes mega clubs. I hope we put in a 20% sell on clause.

{Ed001's Note - not unless they speak with him directly. They will have just asked his agent how much he wanted for salary, not actually negotiated terms with the player.}

Seen a post on Instagram about Utd being interested in JB and the amount of Utd fans commenting and saying they didn't want him, that he would be the next Maguire, and he wasn't good enough to even get into the England squad is unreal. If only he could see that he isn't wanted by their fans and how much we love him here. if you're reading this JB then screw them and stay a toffee :)
