Alright lads, I've not managed to catch much of pre season until i'm at the blackburn game on Thursday has anyone noticed a style of play silva is trying to achieve or a difference in tactics from last year yet? Cheers boys!

Hi Alex, there myself on Thursday friend! From what I’ve seen - 3 matches it’s more what he has at his disposal so far, they are ‘trying’ the high press, ‘trying’ transition from back to front quick (I like all that) but imo we don’t have enough players to make it work (YET) . Heard the saying asking a joiner to fix a leak?, Horses for Courses. think you will get me.

We can all see what Silva wants from the players and it looks like they've got more energy and running in them from last season.
But your right Blu1 its what's at his disposal juat watched the Porto game and got to say MOTM was probably Sandro and I think he's had the most mins than any one so far pre season, as Silva says on his interview today he has a lot to do before the first game of the season.

Heard Sandro had a good first half which is encouraging! Saw him last pre season and he seems a big confidence player for me! Happy about the high press too hopefully with a few new faces to fit the system we’ll have some good football to watch this year! Cheers lads!

One for the Ed's. Do you know if we are in any talks that may lead to bringing in a new left back. Silva has been playing Robinson quite a bit in pre-season so I have a feeling that he is being assessed to see if he is good enough to play as a back up LB.

Thanks ed. I thought playing a front 3 with only 2 CBs would lessen the need for a more attacking playerlike Plattenhardt. But i'm not that familiar with Digne to be honest and agree that we still need an outlet from our full backs. With a front 3, when the wider players tuck in you do need an outlet. Silva does like an attacking and expansive style aswell which points to a more forward thinking full back. Not disagreeing with you in any way ed just exploring my opinion, admittedly based on a lack of knowledge :) Has there been a player profile on Digne please ed?

Yeah I agree Ed he’s not he most confident person going forward from what I’ve seen. Looks panicked on the ball which is strange for a Barcelona player but if silva and brands want him let’s get behind him.
