It’s being reported that we are looking at Lucas perri 22 year old goalkeeper never heard of him before but most likely a link because of Ancelotti’s comments about Pickford.

I hope we don’t go out this window and buy players past or nearing the peak of there career. I am hoping we go for the players brands talked about in the agm players below 25 who we can make into better players and sell for profit because we cannot carry on buying players at such a high price and big wages it’s just not feasible in the way football is with ffp.

Hi Ed seen more rumours of Lozano of Napoli today could you see us making a move? Maybe a loan with Kean going in the opposite direction thanks.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - Another LW?}

1.) 16 Jun 2020 21:11:11
You know how Everton work Ed we don’t do things logically.

07 Jan 2020 18:22:59
Lucas Veríssimo Linked CB from santos don’t know much about him.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - How on earth would he get a Work Permit?}

1.) 07 Jan 2020 18:54:28
One eyed mick from the chippy could get him one. 25 nicker.

2.) 07 Jan 2020 19:01:06
That puts a stop to that rumour Ed 😂😂.

06 Jan 2020 07:56:57
Hi Ed I’ve seen we are interested in Gedson Fernandes of Benfica on a loan deal any truth in it.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - He has been offered around, initially to four English sides and some Italian sides - now to any one who will listen.}

1.) 06 Jan 2020 11:59:19
Hi Ed is he any good not really heard of him?

{Ed002's Note - Gedson Fernandes (RM) not seen as good enough for Benfica and regardless of the €100M release clause want him gone for the best deal he can get. Has been offered to four English sides plus sides in Italy. Milan and Lyon have unacceptable proposals on the table. It is thought that Manchester United might bite and it seems West Ham are open to a loan deal. The player has ties to London and might prefer the chance to live there. I really don't see him as what most English sides need.}

2.) 06 Jan 2020 13:33:04
Based on what ed002 has said sounds like alarm bells should be ringing and a transfer we should steer clear of.

3.) 06 Jan 2020 15:10:10
If he can kick a ball to someone wearing the same shirt as he is then that is certainly a step forward to what we currently have.

{Ed025's Note - i agree ace..

27 Dec 2019 19:51:29
Hi Ed could you do us a list of players in and out in jan? I expect it to be a quiet one with our limited funds.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - I cannot sensibly answer questions about the timing of transfers but can say where I know of interest in players. With a new coach that may change to some extent but with an owner taking advice and interferring but in the big picture Everton need to address RB, CB, RW, S (if Tosun and Naisse go) - expect only a little in January.

Colin Dagba (RB) signed a new contract and not interested in dropping back a level or two.

Kurt Zouma (CB) Everton need to talk directly to Chelsea to see what their options are on Zouma - and not through a third party which they tried previously.
Unai Núñez (CB) Basque and unlikely to move - seen as an option to Kurt Zouma.
Julian Chabot (CB) only moved in the summer but seen as a good CB option - makes little sense.

Jean-Michael Seri (CM) expect something to happen here.

Albert Gudmundsson (RW) don't be surprised by an offer but AZ do not want to sell
Everton Soares (LW) Lots of clubs have been looking at Everton Soares but none are interested at the Gremio asking price of €120M nor the for sale price of around €80M. I would not hold your breath at all. Over hyped with an agent happy to let a third party hawk him around to clubs who are open to the slightly odder arrangements. And LW is not a position to be filled.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (S) struggling to agree money with Milan but he will - Everton are being used to get leverage but I expect ZI will return to Milan. Carlo Ancelotti would not go down that road so if ZI arrives as an Everton player you know there has been further interference. I would say no chance.
Donyell Malen (F/W) rather raw Arsenal reject who has done well at PSV, is well liked if a little moody, but may not be able to make the step up. Rather unlikely if there is interest at the €50M asking price at all. I would doubt PSV would be open to dealing with Everton at anything other than a premium price, but this may well be something coming from an advisor rather than Brands. Unlikely.}

1.) 28 Dec 2019 11:08:42
Serri.? Wasnt he at fulham.? He looked very poor for them, i don't think he would be a good signing.

{Ed001's Note - he is still a Fulham player but is out on loan.}

2.) 28 Dec 2019 12:00:43
Thanks Ed I think seri would be a decent signing and would be another option in cm which I what we need. Also think cb is a priority too.

3.) 28 Dec 2019 23:00:27
Ed002 you say they need a RB what is happening with Kenny? He’s a regular at Schalke and been playing well, do you think he will return at the end of the season or move on?

{Ed002's Note - Schalke would like to sign him.}

4.) 29 Dec 2019 14:58:52
Ed after you said we are interested in seri it’s all over the football sites and news papers do they use this site and then insert out sources 😂😂.

{Ed002's Note - Did they say Morgan Sanson is a Plan B?}

5.) 29 Dec 2019 16:14:06
No they didn’t not Ed but I am sure they will tomorrow now you’ve said that! The arrival of CA seems to have brought everyone together at the club how long I don’t know but it’s been an appointment that’s lifted the club Ed and all the negative comments on it from the media etc have only made the Everton fans stick together! What do you think of the appointment Ed from a neutral.

{Ed002's Note - He signed because Everton made him the third best paid manager in the world. CA is an excellent coach - not sure how he will be with interference of the owner and one particular advisor.}

6.) 29 Dec 2019 16:54:51
You can’t turn that sort of money down Ed! Time will tell Ed hopefully he will stabilise the club and improve the mentality of it too.

{Ed002's Note - Let's hope so.}

7.) 29 Dec 2019 17:29:35
Prefer Morgan Samson to be the plan A.

8.) 29 Dec 2019 18:19:54
There you go ed a news paper reporting at 15:46 Everton to fight West Ham for Morgan Sanson.

After tonight’s game transfer window wise. Think Cb is now a priority after Branthwaite a injury. Gibson must be going out on loan otherwise he would of been in the squad.

And a rb is needed Jonjoe isn’t a bad player does he bare minimum required offers the same as Coleman. Think we need someone with better final ball when attacking if are really wanting to challenge for Europe

And a striker/ rw if Moise is to leave as he doesn’t look Like he’s enjoying himself to be honest just need that extra 10% off him in games and it would help Him massively.

I can see us probably getting the Cb and right back in and maybe Moise will go and we might try to use Richarlison as the striker/ rw when required.

Cb recently linked
Tomori
Bremer
Tosin Adarabioyo
Todibo

Rb
Arias

Striker/ rw
Lozano
Bailey
Zaha

Whatever happens our team is stronger than last season as it stands so we have had a excellent window so far even with the circumstances. Hopefully we progress higher in the league this season and also win a cup which would be a massive boost for the next mentally for the club and players.

Eddy

12 Sep 2020 16:27:48
Hi Ed do you think we will go for Tomori or are we still try for todibo. I think if we go the Tomori route we need a option to buy at the end of the season we don’t want to end up with the same situation we had when Soumare left

On the rw side of things I think if we could get Lozano in he would be ideal as he can cover rw/ lw and the striker position and that may see Moise Kean leave which I think he needs to be given a chance but if the lads not happy in with Everton and wanting to go back to Italy you will never get 100% from the player even if it’s unintentional.

For the rb position I think Dalot is the ideal option on loan with the option to buy.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - Rennes and Everton are keen on Tomori but tehre will certainly not be an option to buy him. There is a chance that he may not be the one loaned out now so for now Jean-Clair Todibo is more likely right now.}

1.) 12 Sep 2020 17:29:59
Cheers Ed can you see loaning a rw or a rb? Because I can’t see us spending on any permanent transfers.

{Ed002's Note - I can see a RB possibly as we discussed - Diogo Dalot. Everton have been relying on the sale of MK for funds but there remains only loan offers right now.}

2.) 12 Sep 2020 18:01:43
Cheers Ed.

06 Sep 2020 07:34:45
If Holgate’s going to be out for a while I can see a CB becoming a priority with Tomori from Chelsea or tobido or Umtiti from Barcelona on a loan deal. Think Holgate was going into the season as our main CB too.

Eddy

1.) 06 Sep 2020 10:02:25
Why wouldn’t you utilise branthwaite and have Gibson as back up?
Branthwaite did really well end of the season and apparently Gibson was very good yesterday.

2.) 06 Sep 2020 10:21:55
Just read its a toe problem. I'm not saying it's good news but surely a toe isn't as bad as an ankle or ligament issue. Fingers crossed he's only in need of some RnR and with a cortisol jab would be fine. Though in the 1st few games, frankly Mina, Branthwaite can fight it out to partner Kean.

3.) 06 Sep 2020 12:28:26
Huge problem for a footballer.

17 Aug 2020 19:13:59
With the links today of Allan and Doucouré I know they will decent decent players for now but not for the long term no sell on fee and most likely high wages too. Haven’t we learnt from our previous bad transfer windows and bought players just for that specific manager. I am now worried we are going to be buying for Carlo Ancelotti and not Everton which was my biggest fear when he arrived. We need to be astute and build for the next five years and not just carlo’s time here.

Eddy

1.) 17 Aug 2020 20:54:09
We'd get Docoure for 30 million over 4 years. That's 7.5million a year for a footballer whi would improve us massively.
Why are people so obsessed with sell on value? Is that what we want to do, bring players in, improve them and then let them go to bigger clubs?

2.) 17 Aug 2020 21:04:47
That’s the only way we can build within the ffp as we well and truly f@@@ed it up since moshiri took over. I don’t think everyone is obsessed with buying players with sell on value it’s the only option at this moment in time for our club because if we buy players on the down turn of their abilities you will always be making a loss. We cannot just buy players for cap Ancelotti the manager as much as a fantastic manager he is we are not here to keep up his good cv we are trying to build a club to can challenge in the league for years to and be a sustainable club. I don’t know a lot about finances in football but looking at it logically that’s my opinion we need players with sell on value not players who come to get their last big pay day.

3.) 17 Aug 2020 21:34:53
We need players who will get us into europe not ones who may or may not have a sell on value. We will get more money selling a player who has been a bit part of a successful team not necessarily one who is young and may do well in an unsuccessful team.

4.) 17 Aug 2020 21:40:44
Here’s another view.
We need these established players short term to turn us into a club that is attractive to better players. So it might be short term, but in the long term it could pay off.
Also just getting young players with potential could mean we will have to get use to finishing outside Europe, and selling our best players each year just to survive.
We have one of the best managers in the game, so if he wants to sign two or three 29 year olds then that’s fine with me. He’s been there done and has the trophies to prove it.

5.) 18 Aug 2020 09:36:42
Unfortunately those that think certain players would improve us massively are just guessing. Any transfer is a risk be he young Gbamin or old Bolasie. My preference would be for a mixture of ages but not paying stupid money for anyone. Young players may make us a profit but its still not a guarantee. I like to think the club has an idea of what the long term strategy is and how to get there. I'll leave it up to the powers that be and support the team that turns out on a match day even if they don't turn up to play decent football. What else can we do?

12 Aug 2020 20:28:48
What’s everyone’s ideal window realistically? Mine would be:
Rb:Dalot -loan
Cb:Gabriel or jean-Clair Todibo
Rw: Ismaila Sarr or under Or Davis brooks or Hudson-odi on loan if he plays rw
Cm: sanagre just been relegated and 12month contract or santamaria
S:Eduardo or milik at a push maybe Morelos

Think the centre midfield is 100% the most important position and we need energy and someone with good positional sense. Would have RB as the second position on my list as Coleman isn’t what he was going forward anymore lacks that final ball that Digne now offers on the left. Third position we need would be RW as we all know we are full of LW’S at the club. Fourth position would be CB but that could change depending on the style Carlo wants to play but I do think he want a left sides CB and I Would say a striker would be a bonus because we could cope with dcl RICHARLISON and kean.

A great window would also include selling and replacing Pickford but I cannot see any clubs interested in him or can you make my day Ed and tell us someone actually wants hi m

thanks all in advance.

Eddy

1.) 12 Aug 2020 23:17:44
I’d be happy with:
RB - Jonjoe given a chance, if not then max aarons
CB - Gabriel or zouma
Mid - Allan or doucore
RW - brooks or Sarr
F - kean given a decent chance

Whilst the European market probably offers better value u do think there is something to be said for buying players proven in the league hence most of my selections.

As long as we sort out the midfield and get players who will actually put a shift in and give the shirt and the fans the respect deserved I will be happy with whomever brands and Carlo go for.

2.) 12 Aug 2020 23:47:19
Dalot would be a great loan signing with a view to permanent, young talented and versatile as can play left back as well as right back
Sangare looks useful and as you pointed out Toulouse did just get relegated so could be a deal to be 12 months left should me lower value and probably a reasonable salary
Allan seems to be who Carlo wants but if we shift some of the old guard on both could be feasible
A decent RW like Sarr for example I feel would negate the need for another striker
A more mobile CB would be good but I think addressing the midfield vastly changes the dynamic of the team
Can’t see Pickford going this summer, best scenario is a back up to push him, he ups his game and concentration for fear of losing his starting role and England spot, plays for England in the Summer next year and we get a good offer for him if we still want to sell

Maybe another loan somewhere but if you look at Carlo’s history he doesn’t make many changes at clubs.

3.) 13 Aug 2020 10:09:50
Our main obstacle, as always, is that there will be competition from other Premier League teams for the names being mentioned. If a player is available, his agent will tout him around bigger teams than us first. That’s why you see Liverpool, Man City and other big teams signing early - players who might sign for us will first wait to see if other teams will come on. We might still be signing players in October I reckon.
Brands must have a list of players who he thinks fit the profile in every position, Carlo will have his picks too - let’s hope we get a couple in, especially in midfield!

4.) 13 Aug 2020 10:25:07
JB if those players are happy to sign for the so called big teams to sit on their benches then I’ll be happy we haven’t got them.
We need players who actually want to come and play not just pick up a pay cheque, we’ve got too many of those players already.
I’m sure Brands and Carlo have everything under control it’s just as fans after the way the season ended we want to see things happening quickly, I’m hoping patience will pay off, but if we’re waiting till October that has potential for another disaster as we need players to bed in to the team and get some pre-season.

5.) 13 Aug 2020 10:52:53
Only a couple of positions need filling I think. CM, RW, CB. Allan or Sangare, or even both if we play 433 with gomes alongside. Sarr or Lozano for RW. And Gabriel or the big unit from galatasary, Luyuinda I think he called. They the main areas need strengthening.

6.) 13 Aug 2020 12:03:54
Ginger - I wouldn’t disagree, but you can’t blame a player with no ties to the club for wanting to play in Europe for the highest wage. We’d all love 11 players like Dunc, Hibbo, Bainesy etc, not too many about though.

7.) 13 Aug 2020 12:49:12
I just think if a player is happy to go and sign for a top team knowing they won’t be first choice but they may get the occasional game in Europe or cup competitions due to squad rotation that’s not the sort of player we should be going for.

We can offer decent wages and with the squad we have those players would more than likely be first choice for us.

8.) 13 Aug 2020 17:10:10
Our main problem is as it has always been, bring in someone to do a job and then not let them fully do it. I suspect Brands has been busy letting Carlo know the score.

He’s very very quick I think he is a left winger but has played on the right and also left footed which brands did state he wanted he’s also young with potential but I think he would be out of our price range at this moment in time. Would love him to come. Still think we need a cb with pace for certain games and a rb too. What a way to start the season too gives us all hope and the team who commitment goes along way too. Talent can only take you so far but hard work can take you all the way and the players showed they are willing to put a shift in which we didn’t see much of last season.

Hi Ed is he any good? What type of midfielder is he? Would he want to join us.

Eddy

{Ed001's Note - when he was at Liverpool he was a bit on the slow side, slowed down the play, but he was only young and Rodgers kept playing him in different positions. I wouldn't see him as any more than a decent midfielder to see you through until you can buy better quality.}

Think a Kean swap/ loan with Napoli for Lozano would be ideal if they wanted him as Lozano can play across the front 3 and to add to that marcel signed him for psv and he worked under Carlo at Napoli on the other hand you can see why we are getting linked with him too easy writing for the papers.

Eddy

{Ed025's Note - we might change or name to NAPERTON eddy.. :)
