A little recap of the rumours/ links the last week or so.
Rb:
Max Aarons
Baku

Cm:
Angussia
Sander berge
Pape sarr
Bissouma

Rw:
Isamla sarr
Bailey
Zaha
Dan James loan

St:
Aguero😂
Toney
Armstrong
Zirkee

Personally I think aarons or Baku would be great. Bissouma would Be amazing but out of reach now I would think anguissa or pape sarr would be the cheaper opinions and would be happy as they both have potential.
Would love Bailey because he has got electric pace. Sarr would of been an option but would probably see another season out with Watford in the prem. out of the strikers toney wouldn’t come as second fiddle so maybe Armstrong would be a good option. And I would like to see a left footed or sided cb maybe on loan
Pickford
Aarons/ Baku Godfrey Keane/? Digne

Allan
Docoure. Anguissa

Bailey/ james Richarlison
Dcl/?

Thoughts.

I'd have Aaron's, Bailey and maybe both of Toney and Zirkee. A player in midfield who we were linked with couple years ago who is a bit like Doucoure who I like is Zakaria from monchengladbach. Very powerful DM/ CM.

I would have whoever knows how to play football, wants to play football and has the bottle to carry it through.

Hi Ed’s
What’s a week it’s been ok football! What punishment do you thinks going to be given to the 6 clubs? Surely they need to be dealt with accordingly. As other clubs have been for breaking ffp rules and having owners run clubs into the ground. Hopefully something gets done just to show future buyers you must stick to the rules.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - I am not so sure punishments can be given when they failed to actually leave. If they had left and become unaffilliated to FIFA or UEFA, they could have plaed in their own league but not in the PM or FA cup, or in any recognised european or international competition and the players would be excluded from World Cup and Euros etc., regardless of what Perez says. The players would no be playing for a club affiliated with FIFA or, as the are all European, UEFA. Simply punishing the ringleaders who are behind this - in reality the owners of Liverpool or Manchester United, it would be difficult. If there is even the smallest piece of honour left in these two clubs, given all respect and trust has gone, perhaps nobody would care any longer if they declined their next entry in to European competition that they qualify for - so apologise by saying saoory, but we won't enter the Champions League this season given we were trying to destroy it. If they did that, they would lose a bunch of money but regain the respect of others in the game. The question is: "Is chivalry dead? Or do the owners of Manchester United and Liverpool not understand what it means."}

1.) 21 Apr 2021 20:40:41
Absolute fat chance of that happening Ed. No way would they volunteer their own punishment. There has long been a jealousy that these clubs seem to get their own way a lot but now there is a palpable hatred served up on a silver platter this week. Then the hatred turns to laughter because it was all undone so spectacularly in a space of 48 hours. All those exclusive meetings and zoom calls over the years to form their greedy clique. All gone in less time that they took to travel to some of these meetings.

I completely agree that finding a suitable punishment will be hard given the sheer emotion surrounding this but something connected with the champions league would be the right place to start as you rightly said that’s what they tried to destroy.

2.) 21 Apr 2021 21:17:04
Ed they couldn’t give two flying f’s about anyone. Henry’s apology was read of a screen and he keep saying “your” club and not “our” club which has probably pushed the liverpool fans further away from fsg. The last few days has tototalky wiped this season off along with var and the C.V. but hopefully so old values what make the game so good have been remember and clawed back into the game.

3.) 22 Apr 2021 10:58:31
My humble opinion is they should be given a hefty point to deduction, therefore restricting their qualifications for eufa competition next season, all 6 that signed up should be punished same, all these false apologies are to appease fans, if not for fan fury, they would not hesitate to do it all over again.

4.) 22 Apr 2021 14:21:36
They should be punished. But they won’t be - not in a way that has any real impact on them anyway. Prem bosses want them at the top of the table, want them in cup finals, want them playing in Europe. All about the brand.

{Ed002's Note - Youclearly don't understand the structure of the Premier League.}

5.) 22 Apr 2021 17:12:08
ED02 I get what JBtoffee is saying in that the FA need these clubs as they are massive and bring in the most viewers and sponsorship if they did break rule L9 could they then be deducted points ect I just don't see how losing a vote at the table is a big enough deterent for them to try again in the future.

{Ed002's Note - So you are talking about the FA and not the Premier League which is what JBtoffee was saying? You alll seem to be rather confused. and I am not sure what the point being made really is.}

6.) 22 Apr 2021 18:22:41
I understand it fine thanks. Just making the point that the big teams being involved in European competition and reaching the latter stages of the domestic cups increases exposure, revenue etc. and keeps the brand strong.

{Ed002's Note - What?}

7.) 23 Apr 2021 08:42:28
The only options I can think of that may happen is UEFA removing the coefficient from there newly proposed CL structure which I think was probably put in to placate the English/ Italian teams fearful of none qualification and possibly the ECA not letting them back into their membership for the clubs that resigned and hopefully if/ when they do get back none of their representatives get anywhere near the leadership team.

8.) 24 Apr 2021 22:58:13
I don’t think there will be any punishment for the teams as they didn’t leave as Ed pointed out. If anything is done, it’d probably be financial but that has no real effect on billionaire owners. I wouldn’t want points deducted or them being kicked out of European competitions as those places should be given on merit of the players/ coaches. If we benefited from that, I’d feel we would have cheated the system. It stinks but I can’t see anything happening; they won’t fall on their swords and opt out of Europe next year.

I think this whole debacle will lead to big changes in the next decade. I can see something like a champions league happening between the top teams in England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France, and the Europa league fought out between the other European nations. Possibly, with top teams in the Europa League qualifying for the Champions league the next season. Something like that or something that creates a 2 tier system in Europe.

The thing that disgusts me the most is the attempted use of C.V. to justify the breakaway. Shameful.

9.) 25 Apr 2021 09:53:11
Still don’t understand why it’s called “Champions League” when runners up get to play in it. If it was a true “Champions League” competition then only the league winners from each country would qualify. Oh no wait they had that once, now wonder why that got scrapped?

Hopefully brands works his magic from now till the summer and get some
Of the young South American kids over on free transfers and start building for the future too. Not just the here and now.

It’s being reported that we are looking at Lucas perri 22 year old goalkeeper never heard of him before but most likely a link because of Ancelotti’s comments about Pickford.

I hope we don’t go out this window and buy players past or nearing the peak of there career. I am hoping we go for the players brands talked about in the agm players below 25 who we can make into better players and sell for profit because we cannot carry on buying players at such a high price and big wages it’s just not feasible in the way football is with ffp.

Hi Ed seen more rumours of Lozano of Napoli today could you see us making a move? Maybe a loan with Kean going in the opposite direction thanks.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - Another LW?}

Reports of:
Kenny to Burnley
Tosun to CSKA Moscow
Interest in Bernard too

That’s a big saving on wages if this happens this window.
Hopefully got a player lined to to take tosun’s position but can see it being a rw/ striker as Bernard is a lw which doesn’t need replacing as we have More than enough players in that position.

Eddy

1.) 25 Jan 2021 21:47:53
Would love to see someone like Leon Bailey or Ismaila Sarr, or even Ihattaren as Brands reportedly likes him as a player.
one of them added to Richy and DCL could become a devastating front line, especially with James pulling the strings behind.

2.) 26 Jan 2021 14:47:37
I would like Ings. Guy works hard and scores goals in the Prem, not some dodgy French or Dutch league etc.

03 Jan 2021 09:42:31
Looks like we are trying to get Rui Silva on a free for the summer 26 year old keeper hopefully turns out good.

Eddy

The domestic window for transfer between pl and efl clubs is still open there is some still very talented players that haven’t moved on who everyone thought would of 100% got a move.
Saar
David Brooks
Todd Cantwell
Max Aarons
Buendia
Berihema
Josh king
I think some premier league clubs will still spend about of money picking some of these players off. I would like josh king to come in to cover rw/ striker but I just can’t see it happening we’ve had a fantastic window. I for one was unsure about the ages of the signing ‘s and the motivation of the layers coming in after previously been taking to the cleaners by players who don’t offer anything. But Carlo and brands have smashed it out the park and. It has transformed the mood and expectations around the club.

I honestly don’t see the point in getting Kepler in to sit on the bench. This Olsen is 3rd choice at Roma. We have lossol and Virginia whoa just signed a new deal. The only thing that’s going to push Pickford is actually the signing of a keeper and not the keeper himself. Just can’t see him challenging Pickford I might be wrong hopefully.

We are still linked to leao of ac Milan. We have been linked with him since his Lillie days so could be some old recycled news or we do really want him.

Hi Ed who are Everton looking at rather thAn coutinho if you don’t mind me asking.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - Adrien Rabiot (CM) Juventus are looking to sell AR to raise funds to complete the Aouar transfer. Manchester United my look to offload van der Beek in an exchange but Juventus want cash - or perhaps Pogba. Barcelona may offer an option but would want to include at least one player in any deal. May well be offered to Everton to try and tempt Kean back and his versatility might be useful.
Marcus Tavernier (LW/AM) versatile Middlesbrough youngster that Leicester and Everton have enquired after with other Premier League clubs perhaps interested in getting involved at the right price - having signed a new contract recently, Middlesbrough will look a premium.
Oussama Tannane (AM) Vitesse do not want to sell but Everton have had him watched and have spoken with his agent. Seems like a sideways move so unlikely.

Any names we could be looking at Ed. Thanks.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure that there will be sufficient time to get a player the club really desires now and so if there is a need to replace Tosum, and there may not be, then a loan might be a good option. Edin Dzeko is being offered around after falling out of favour. Lassina Traore's agent wants a move to England but Ajax would look to block any move until the summer at this late stage. Taking an expensive chance on Diego Costa seems unlikely. Giovanni Simeone is available and could offer something different. Josh King has to be possible as Everton have previously shown interest. Boulaye Dia would cost more but could be a very smart move in the longer term. But there is nothing firm I know of right now.}

It wouldn’t be ideal if we don’t replace him. Richy can play there tosun when fit and Simms but he’s still very young and still learning. Hopefully the Milik rumours are true on loan till the end of the season. What are your thoughts on Godfrey Ed? Thanks again.

Eddy

{Ed025's Note - i have not seen enough of him to form an opinion to be honest eddy, but on the face of it it seems a lot for a player who was part of the worst defence in the league last year..but i would trust brands and carlo before me if i was you mate..

Cheers Ed can you see loaning a rw or a rb? Because I can’t see us spending on any permanent transfers.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - I can see a RB possibly as we discussed - Diogo Dalot. Everton have been relying on the sale of MK for funds but there remains only loan offers right now.}

Think a Kean swap/ loan with Napoli for Lozano would be ideal if they wanted him as Lozano can play across the front 3 and to add to that marcel signed him for psv and he worked under Carlo at Napoli on the other hand you can see why we are getting linked with him too easy writing for the papers.

Eddy

{Ed025's Note - we might change or name to NAPERTON eddy.. :)

That’s the only way we can build within the ffp as we well and truly f@@@ed it up since moshiri took over. I don’t think everyone is obsessed with buying players with sell on value it’s the only option at this moment in time for our club because if we buy players on the down turn of their abilities you will always be making a loss. We cannot just buy players for cap Ancelotti the manager as much as a fantastic manager he is we are not here to keep up his good cv we are trying to build a club to can challenge in the league for years to and be a sustainable club. I don’t know a lot about finances in football but looking at it logically that’s my opinion we need players with sell on value not players who come to get their last big pay day.
