Lucas Veríssimo Linked CB from santos don’t know much about him.

{Ed002's Note - How on earth would he get a Work Permit?}

1.) 07 Jan 2020 18:54:28
One eyed mick from the chippy could get him one. 25 nicker.

2.) 07 Jan 2020 19:01:06
That puts a stop to that rumour Ed 😂😂.

06 Jan 2020 07:56:57
Hi Ed I’ve seen we are interested in Gedson Fernandes of Benfica on a loan deal any truth in it.

{Ed002's Note - He has been offered around, initially to four English sides and some Italian sides - now to any one who will listen.}

1.) 06 Jan 2020 11:59:19
Hi Ed is he any good not really heard of him?

{Ed002's Note - Gedson Fernandes (RM) not seen as good enough for Benfica and regardless of the €100M release clause want him gone for the best deal he can get. Has been offered to four English sides plus sides in Italy. Milan and Lyon have unacceptable proposals on the table. It is thought that Manchester United might bite and it seems West Ham are open to a loan deal. The player has ties to London and might prefer the chance to live there. I really don't see him as what most English sides need.}

2.) 06 Jan 2020 13:33:04
Based on what ed002 has said sounds like alarm bells should be ringing and a transfer we should steer clear of.

3.) 06 Jan 2020 15:10:10
If he can kick a ball to someone wearing the same shirt as he is then that is certainly a step forward to what we currently have.

{Ed025's Note - i agree ace..

27 Dec 2019 19:51:29
Hi Ed could you do us a list of players in and out in jan? I expect it to be a quiet one with our limited funds.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot sensibly answer questions about the timing of transfers but can say where I know of interest in players. With a new coach that may change to some extent but with an owner taking advice and interferring but in the big picture Everton need to address RB, CB, RW, S (if Tosun and Naisse go) - expect only a little in January.

Colin Dagba (RB) signed a new contract and not interested in dropping back a level or two.

Kurt Zouma (CB) Everton need to talk directly to Chelsea to see what their options are on Zouma - and not through a third party which they tried previously.
Unai Núñez (CB) Basque and unlikely to move - seen as an option to Kurt Zouma.
Julian Chabot (CB) only moved in the summer but seen as a good CB option - makes little sense.

Jean-Michael Seri (CM) expect something to happen here.

Albert Gudmundsson (RW) don't be surprised by an offer but AZ do not want to sell
Everton Soares (LW) Lots of clubs have been looking at Everton Soares but none are interested at the Gremio asking price of €120M nor the for sale price of around €80M. I would not hold your breath at all. Over hyped with an agent happy to let a third party hawk him around to clubs who are open to the slightly odder arrangements. And LW is not a position to be filled.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (S) struggling to agree money with Milan but he will - Everton are being used to get leverage but I expect ZI will return to Milan. Carlo Ancelotti would not go down that road so if ZI arrives as an Everton player you know there has been further interference. I would say no chance.
Donyell Malen (F/W) rather raw Arsenal reject who has done well at PSV, is well liked if a little moody, but may not be able to make the step up. Rather unlikely if there is interest at the €50M asking price at all. I would doubt PSV would be open to dealing with Everton at anything other than a premium price, but this may well be something coming from an advisor rather than Brands. Unlikely.}

1.) 28 Dec 2019 11:08:42
Serri.? Wasnt he at fulham.? He looked very poor for them, i don't think he would be a good signing.

{Ed001's Note - he is still a Fulham player but is out on loan.}

2.) 28 Dec 2019 12:00:43
Thanks Ed I think seri would be a decent signing and would be another option in cm which I what we need. Also think cb is a priority too.

3.) 28 Dec 2019 23:00:27
Ed002 you say they need a RB what is happening with Kenny? He’s a regular at Schalke and been playing well, do you think he will return at the end of the season or move on?

{Ed002's Note - Schalke would like to sign him.}

4.) 29 Dec 2019 14:58:52
Ed after you said we are interested in seri it’s all over the football sites and news papers do they use this site and then insert out sources 😂😂.

{Ed002's Note - Did they say Morgan Sanson is a Plan B?}

5.) 29 Dec 2019 16:14:06
No they didn’t not Ed but I am sure they will tomorrow now you’ve said that! The arrival of CA seems to have brought everyone together at the club how long I don’t know but it’s been an appointment that’s lifted the club Ed and all the negative comments on it from the media etc have only made the Everton fans stick together! What do you think of the appointment Ed from a neutral.

{Ed002's Note - He signed because Everton made him the third best paid manager in the world. CA is an excellent coach - not sure how he will be with interference of the owner and one particular advisor.}

6.) 29 Dec 2019 16:54:51
You can’t turn that sort of money down Ed! Time will tell Ed hopefully he will stabilise the club and improve the mentality of it too.

{Ed002's Note - Let's hope so.}

7.) 29 Dec 2019 17:29:35
Prefer Morgan Samson to be the plan A.

8.) 29 Dec 2019 18:19:54
There you go ed a news paper reporting at 15:46 Everton to fight West Ham for Morgan Sanson.

11 Dec 2019 19:58:15
Hi Ed002 can you shed any light on the slysports reports they put out the last couple of days.
1.We are in talks with Emery he’s interested they say

2.Carlo Ancellotti sane as above

3. Marcelino wants arsenal over us

{Ed002's Note - (1) A general enquiry with Emery has been made but right now I suspect the preference will be to try and persuade carlo Ancelotti that he should make the move. (2) Carlo Ancelotti is aware of interest from Everton, Arsenal and two other sides. Right now the structure of Arsenal will be of concern and he will need persuading that Everton makes some sense. (3) Marcelino was first choice but has no interest in Everton.}

1.) 12 Dec 2019 12:30:41
think we should pull out all stops to get ancelotti of all managers we have been linked with he will be a great appointment if not then big dunc till end of season c. o. y. b.

2.) 12 Dec 2019 12:39:03
I desperately don't want Moyes in, but him as an interim with a view to a permanent manager to take us forward in the Summer makes the most sense. Deary me.

3.) 12 Dec 2019 13:43:15
Sorry Hugo but how does that make the most sense?

Surely keeping Dunc in place until we appoint makes the most sense.

Not sure why moyes is even being thought of, he achieved nothing when he was with us, never beat a top 4 side and didn’t win any silverware, he left and achieved nothing. Why does anyone in their right minds think he’d be a decent appointment interim or not?

4.) 12 Dec 2019 14:37:18
Isnt Ferguson a risk too?

5.) 12 Dec 2019 15:11:27
Because stats don’t lie. Even though he had an eleven year reign his win percentage is higher than the past few managers we’ve had. He also knows the club and wants the job. All that being said I’d have Ancelotti over him every day of the week. Moyes done very well with limited funds whilst he was here, this is why he was got the United job!

6.) 12 Dec 2019 15:18:14
thing with some everton fans is we can't pick or choose managers at this moment at time due to the situation we are currently in look i understand the blues frustration i do meself but david moyes is not the answer i rated the man when he first arrived club had no money he bought bargain players sold them for profit to keep our club going i won't forget what he did for us he done wonders without a budget during his 7 years but things changed now etc moshiri new stadium on the horizon good crop players now then what we didn't have back then i have seen some replies that ferguson is not the man he is the man i seen in that one game than what marco silva didn't have in 18 months passion on that sideline every player played for him against chelsea and i would happily give him the contract till end of season what can he do wrong.

7.) 12 Dec 2019 16:01:38
Back to moyes - the league is different these days he did reasonable in the league with us but the league then only had 4 or 5 teams really competing, these days the league is much tougher - there is no guarantee he can replicate it. Plus we never beat a top 4 team or won any silverware.

Get the right guy in but leave Dunc in charge until then, he knows the club, the players, and respects the fans.

8.) 12 Dec 2019 17:43:15
All this rubbish about Moyes knowing the club. The club has changed since Moyes days. The PL has changed since Moyes days. Our finances have changed since Moyes days. We have an ambitious owner who supposedly wants success. Moyes will not bring that success. Moyes wants the job. Of course he does because no one else wants him. I say stick with Dunc for some games while the board decide who they want or rather who they can get.

{Ed025's Note - are you sure your not me nick?.. :)

9.) 12 Dec 2019 17:59:25
I don't know who I am at the best of times ed025. Maybe we are cloned 😂.

{Ed025's Note - if we are nick you must look like george clooney and be amazingly attractive to women mate.. :)

10.) 12 Dec 2019 18:09:41
Nick, was you in that tv ad too then? 🤭.

11.) 12 Dec 2019 18:17:49
All I know for sure is the board don’t know what they want the managers we are being linked are in different planets to each other in terms of style of play etc I think we need to go for a youngish manager out to make a name who has worked under a DOF before someone out of the redbull system would do I think.

12.) 12 Dec 2019 18:34:55
You need sort the predictive text out Ed25, it has typed George Clooney instead of Micky Rooney.

Just teasing Ed :-)

{Ed025's Note - cheeky sod bignev lol..

13.) 12 Dec 2019 20:39:25
Now I have been likened to Mickey Rooney lol.

01 Aug 2019 17:48:05
Hi Ed have you any info on what players we are looking to add for our RW position thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Malcom (RW) - something was possible, but there will be a great deal of embarrassment after screwing up a deal for Malcom due to delaying a formal approach until a deal with Zenit was being hammered out - I don't know if they were looking to try and get the price reduced or what.
David Neres (RW/LW) has been watched but no approach has been made to Ajax by Everton - two other sides are pushing for a deal now.
Benito Raman (LW/F) watched but concern over the step up, and he is primarily a LW which Everton are overrun with - Everton need a RW and have far better options - he opted for a move to Schalke 04.
Hakim Ziyech (RW) a Ronald Koeman target in the summer of 2016 that Everton could look again to - but could be expensive and certainly there is a reason why others have not been looking to complete a deal.
Albert Gudmundsson (RW) known to Brands and would be a good cost effective addition but AZ do not want to sell
Bertrand Traore (RW) Lyon say thay have been approached by Bayer Leverkusen and BL were reminded of an option another side has on the player - Lyon do not want to sell and Traore is keen to stay and with Cornet available he could get his wish for more game time, unlikely that Everton could strike any sort of deal.
Allan Saint-Maximin (RW) Milan have had several discussions over signing Allan Saint-Maximin but the fixed €40M asking price remains an issue. There have also been talks with Newcastle who continue to look for a RW and he is the emergingfirst choice for them and Crystal Palace who see him as a potential Zaha replacement. Monaco, Everton and Arsenal have all sent scouts to watch him - but Monaco opted for another player and Arsenal opted for Pepe.
Cengiz Under (RW) Roma laughed off a derisory offer from Everton - interest from other sides - one in particular - are far more attractive to the player.}

1.) 02 Aug 2019 12:06:29
Great info as always. Do you know who we are interested in regarding CB. I know you said we enquirer about Llorente but not sure if we went any further with that and also anything to the links with Tomori? Cheers Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, Everton remain interested in Diego Llorente and Everton have enquired with Chelsea about taking Fikayo Tomori on loan which is odd given Everton has Matthew Pennington. Davide Biraschi interest seems tof have drifted away. A couple of sides are still looking at Djene but others, including Everton do not seem to see the value in him.}

2.) 02 Aug 2019 12:12:18
Thanks great info again. Hopefully we can bite the billet and get Malcom but he looks set on Zenit now. Would of been a good move for him if he wanted minutes to get in the Brazil squad. We are not desperate for a rw as Richarlison Walcott can play that posistion bit it could do with another body but cb is a priority.

{Ed002's Note - Everton need a RW - that is the position they have not addressed.}

3.) 02 Aug 2019 12:54:20
Would you say any Everton deal for Malcom is utterly dead and buried now Ed? .

{Ed002's Note - So you can throw it in my face later?}

4.) 02 Aug 2019 12:55:46
Thanks Ed, I take it there’s nothing in the John Stones rumours?

{Ed002's Note - I am not really the one to ask about rumours - I would not know.}

5.) 02 Aug 2019 18:50:19
Cheers for the update ed.

{Ed002's Note - For me RW was the first thing required.}

6.) 02 Aug 2019 20:06:33
Ignore my last post. But if a moot point now.

7.) 02 Aug 2019 19:45:57
I’ve never thrown anything back in your face ed, so not sure what you’re referring to. Genuinely want to know if in you’re opinion if Everton have messed any chance up and it’s all dead and buried? . Or whether this reported last minute attempt may be salvage the deal.

8.) 03 Aug 2019 11:50:09
Hi Ed, where do you think Everton will play Richarlison? I can see him clearly being the RW when Kean arrives and Bernard in Left is quality for me.

I think another CB and RB are a must.

{Ed002's Note - Richarlison is a LW and was played out of position on the right last season due to the club failing to address their major problem.}

13 Dec 2019 20:13:57
Arteta “top of the list “ is reports are to be believed think he would be a risk but a risk worth taking good position for both club and arteta to build something as long as the club tell the fans about plans and time scales on what they want to achieve.

1.) 13 Dec 2019 20:53:10
I don't get why everyone is so obsessed. I'm getting really bored of it. No one knows who we are going to get. Every news paper story is basically made up or based on questionable facts.

Right now we have big Dunc and utd away then Leicester at home. Two very difficult games regardless of the manager.

2.) 13 Dec 2019 22:00:59
I think we are all getting obsessed because we haven’t got a manager! Big Dunc has stated he doesn’t want it and he’s not ready. So we need a manager and all the reports are all we can go off really it’s the biggest thing going on at the club at this moment in time. It’s one of the biggest decisions the board needs to make in years because of it wrong it could have serious repercussions. You can’t tell me you see the reports and have a judgement on what they are saying if it’s right or wrong we will never know until a manager is appointed and proves if he can do the job or not. Think we are all looking at the names linked looking for a bit of hope and ambition.

3.) 14 Dec 2019 00:20:53
I am with fat Chris on this, more than happy with Ferguson short term.

Let’s get Sunday and next Weds cup game out of the way and keep the feel good factor going before bringing a Manager in.

4.) 14 Dec 2019 01:53:42
I wasn't trying to have a pop at you eddy but people keep refering to reports and news stories of who we getting. Same names constantly gets thrown around, then someone gets sacked and now they're going to be the next manager. Just getting tiresome. We should have had another 3 or 4 managers by now. Everyone just needs to be patient, I don't think even the board know so I doubt the papers do.

The biggest thing for me right now is the appalling amount of points we have and that it's December so we have a lot of games to play and a chance to improve it. A manager will be announced whenever but what I do know is we have a chance (all be it a slim one) to get some points on Sunday. Last weekend was the first game I've enjoyed watching in a long while. And I look forward to watching them again on Sunday.

5.) 14 Dec 2019 06:28:20
I know Chris just telling you why I am obsessed with our new manager 😂😂.

07 Oct 2019 22:19:45
I think Marco’s time is up after reading through a lot of fans comments 90+% want him out now and everyone’s talking about Everton next manager. Ed002 and 001 did warn us about him when we tried go seduce him the first time

My list of managers would be
Adi Hutter
Erik ten Hag
Jesse March
Graham potter ( grazem pottererrrr for those who like forge in managers )
Marcelo gallaredo
But the obvious appointment would be van bommel who brands appointed at PSV and has spoken very highly of and of course why would they risk coming to Everton after the turnover of managers in the last 5 years.

1.) 08 Oct 2019 06:32:05
I thought Cocu was Brands man a PSV 🤷🏻‍♂️.

2.) 08 Oct 2019 16:05:39
Graham Potter lol. Why? Cause his team beat a very bad Tottenham after a 2-7 Munich drubbing. His cv is pants and I’m quite sure he’ll be taking Brighton down with him this season. I think Brighton hired cheaply and badly but just another opinion I guess.

3.) 08 Oct 2019 21:29:15
I would suggest that you've not really had a look at what Potter has done as a manager then Dog Puke Peter.

(I'm not saying you guys should go for him by the way, I mean why would he take a backwards step so soon after joining Brighton? ;) I just felt the need to defend Mr Potter a little)

4.) 09 Oct 2019 16:24:17
Yes I have thanks. Manager of Ghana’s ladies team and took a french team who were expected to get promotion up two divisions, was an absolute bore for Swansea last year and Brighton hired the man cause it were the cheapest option and apparently he does well with a crap budget which has been proven many a time not to have worked in the premiership. Thank god he isn’t in the running cause he’s no premiership manager, you will see at the end of the season. A massive no and he won’t be a candidate for the job anyways. Brighton can keep him until they are relegated.

5.) 09 Oct 2019 23:25:17
Well I would now suggest that upon reading your reply Dog Peter Duke, that my initial suggestion was pretty spot on. What you saying Ed01?

{Ed001's Note - he clearly doesn't know who Potter is and is just embarrassing himself mouthing off ignorantly. Potter is one of the bright shining lights of the game and Ostersunds are Swedish and a tiny club that no one expected to ever reach the top flight, let alone qualify for European competition. Potter has done it by embracing new ideas and trying to coach his players to be better.}

6.) 13 Oct 2019 09:58:16
Yes my bad, director at Ghana’s ladies and winning promotion with Östersund that really well known club in Sweden. I am sorry but did you see Swansea last year though (they were rubbish) and ignorant or not I stick to my own opinion that he’s not a premiership manager and will definitely not be in the running for the Everton job. Brighton hired cheaply.

{Ed001's Note - you know nothing about Brighton either clearly. Brighton are not a cheap club, they don't do cheap hires, they paid a large fee to pry Potter from Swansea and are paying him well.}

08 Aug 2019 19:53:16
Hi ed001 could you do a player profile on Iwobi if you ever get a chance? And what’s you view on us signing him? And a big thanks to all the Ed’s over the window everyone appreciates your answers and putting your spare time in to this site 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.

{Ed001's Note - I have added him to the list for you mate. I am not convinced from what I have seen of him in the past though. He did improve last season, but I have never seen anything to suggest he was going to mature into a top class player. Still, it will allow you to drop Walcott, so it is an improvement!}

1.) 08 Aug 2019 23:05:03
Reminds me of a Leon Osman type player of similar ability from what I have seen.

08 Aug 2019 18:48:26
We aimed to go into the new season in a stronger position than when we finished. And we have done that in the positions except CB so if we have injuries Holgate and Gibson will have to step up and it could be the making of them? I think iwobi will surprise a lot of people. His chances created in open play last season are at the top with some of the most creative players in the league. overall a good window with one regret in not getting that cb so let’s get behind the team.

28 Jul 2019 19:41:59
So the targets of the reports are to be believed going into the last two weeks are

Moise Kean strongly linked by a lot of reports

Zaha bid made and rejected will we go back?

Malcom been linked all summer cheaper and younger than Zaha but still a risk.

Gbamin reports of talks/ bid made don’t know a lot about him only what Ed002 has said and seen his stats for 19/ 20 has played at CB now a CDM Can cover RB too so good option for starting position and can cover so looks a
Good signing and two problem areas covered till next year?

Zouma linked as we all know lampard wants him at Chelsea but still could change

Diego Llorente been linked every transfer window since Martinez was here

Rafael Leao look like he’s off to Milan

Bakayoko linked but would be expensive

Neres all reports have gone since first being linked

Traore all reports have gone

Hopefully we can see
Moise kean
Zaha / Malcom
Zouma/ or a cb on loan again

{Ed025's Note good list that eddy, i would take that in a heart beat mate..-

1.) 28 Jul 2019 21:01:25
There will be surprises won’t they Ed which will excite us but at a minimum we need a striker Gueye replacement Zouma replacement. Moise kean is a weird one potential but it’s a huge risk and we clearly are going for a certain type of forward with the links to Leao but don’t know anymore forwards that age with potential. 🤷🏽‍♂️.

{Ed025's Note - it will be an interesting 12 days or so eddy and i cant wait to see who we bring in, i have faith that brands and silva know what they are doing mate..

2.) 28 Jul 2019 21:22:14
If reports are to be believed then Barca's asking price is €50m which is less than what we have just bid for Zaha. Is Zaha worth £80m? Well to Palace he is as he is probably the difference between them staying up and going down which would be costly for them so when thinking about cost of the player don't think is he worth it ability wise it's what he's worth to the selling club who hold the cards as he has a long contract and they don't need to sell. Remember what we paid for Richarlison who hadn't scored a goal or registered an assist since the November before we signed him, was he worth the outlay based on the seasons form? Probably not, but we paid the asking price. One thing's for sure if we had Zaha on one wing and Ricky on the other we are getting plenty of free kicks around the box. Do we go to £80m for Zaha? I can see us doing it with players and add ons as he offers experience of the league that Malcolm doesn't and he improves us down the right. As for the other positions, I'd love Kean up top and Dacoure from Watford to replace Gueye, CB I don't know who we look towards there.

3.) 28 Jul 2019 21:25:00
100%? ed and what this window has shown me is a lot of the everton fans are right behind silva which is good to see as we haven’t had this in a while. Who would
You like to see be brought in Ed.

{Ed025's Note - zouma and malcom or kean would do me mate..

4.) 28 Jul 2019 23:45:19
Would love
Andre Silva (loan)
Bakayoko (loan)

Rather those 4 players that accumulate to 80 million than spend it on 1 player zaha.

{Ed0333's Note - Zaha will no way cost 80 million.

5.) 29 Jul 2019 00:25:35
How much realistically do you think palace are expecting Ed0333?

{Ed0333's Note - I don’t know mate obviously they’ll want as much as possible but if the player starts playing up they may have to settle for less.

If Everton Soares was to come in I would think we would be cashing in on Richarlison in the summer which will also free some more money for another player too. Just my guess replacement in early bed him in. Only thing I can see happening.

Hi Ed is he any good? What type of midfielder is he? Would he want to join us.

{Ed001's Note - when he was at Liverpool he was a bit on the slow side, slowed down the play, but he was only young and Rodgers kept playing him in different positions. I wouldn't see him as any more than a decent midfielder to see you through until you can buy better quality.}

At least he’s not another LW Ed! Would of thought we would only be looking at a Loans at cm and cb for jan. then Strengthen other areas in the summer. Think Rabiot would be a could loan.

Brands should have some input though ed doesn’t he pick what style of football we play and the players to fit into that and then surely a manager who plays and has worked under that type of system?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, he will have input.}
