Onana being linked with a move away.

Hannibal from Utd on loan been linked

Edd002 any potential replacements Everton have in mind for Onana.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - Everton have huge financial issues and Onana is very saleable - they woul like to add Emiliano Martinez of Midtjylland but I rather doubt they would be able to get a Work Permit. Hannibal would not be a replacement. Garner would with a bit of a MF shuffle see out the season.}

1.) 09 Jan 2024 11:07:00
Unfortunately Branthwaite is also a big asset with a big transfer fee possible, with everyone from Real Madrid to man city rumoured to be lurking, I'd rather see Onana go, but our status in the ffp is looking dire, we might end up selling both sooner than anticipated!

2.) 10 Jan 2024 14:24:08
Ed002 what teams are interested in Onana and will any pay enough this window?

{Ed002's Note - Amadou Onana (DM/CB/CM) Only moved to Everton in 2022 and they are not looking to sell him. West Ham interest has moved on but Arsenal may look again after failing to agree alternatives. Newcastle spoke with Everton in the summer but have now identified another player as their primary DM/CM target. Manchester United had him a long way down their list of targets but failed to sign preferred options in the summer and he may still be of interest, but I rather doubt it. Arsenal will look to perhaps early agreement for a move for the summer.}

3.) 22 Jan 2024 19:58:42
Ed002 going to start this with "I don't understand ffp! "/ just kidding (For the record I don't know anything about ffp and have no desire to learn)
Can you offer any: Ray of sunshine/ glimmer of positivity/ hope springs eternal etc etc?!

{Ed002's Note - Nothing new right now.}

31 Dec 2023 16:09:31
Ed do we have a interest in Alex Robertson Man City midfielder on loan at Portsmouth.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - Alex Robertson (AM/CM) Has had a very good season on loan so far at Portsmouth and, if promoted, have a tentative agreement to keep him for another season at Fratton Park. Everton and Celtic have sent scouts to watch him but a move is unlikely.}

26 Dec 2023 13:38:38
Ed002 hope your well. what's our january going to look like. Will web actively pursuing some players or if any outgoings happen be reactive to that.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - I would not have high expectations of significant additions with Everton having to clean up the financial mess they are in. They need to reduce the wage bill further and utilise the cheaper or free options available to them and utilise youngsters where they can. There will also be a need for the sale of players liked by the fans, such as Branthwaite. Leicester, Burnley and Leeds are open to negotiation a soultion to the concerns Everton have about being forced in to Administration which would see a further points deduction and financial constraints which could strangle the club. So a negotiated solution makes sense - but it could hit the club very hard.
Everton have another eight players who are out of contract in the summer - Harrison (who will return to Leeds), Lonegan, Young, Coleman, Gueye, Dele Alli, Gomes and Danjuma (who will return to Villareal). They have a huge issue with respect to Dele Alli which needs to be fixed somehow. There are another seven players who will be entering the last year of their contracts. Selling Onana would help them out as any loans or sale of part of the club would only help with the stadium they cannot now afford.}

1.) 26 Dec 2023 13:48:12
Ed on the deal with Leeds and Leicester surely only one club can ask us for comp as if we got relegated only one of them could be stayed up?

{Ed002's Note - No. It is not just relegation, it is loss of income. Leeds will perhaps step back.}

2.) 26 Dec 2023 13:55:14
I see. Hopefully we sale high make a profit and re invest in some youth and pay the debts.

{Ed002's Note - The best way forward Eddy.}

3.) 26 Dec 2023 14:10:38
Hopefully look at Birminghams Jordan James. We’ve been linked with Sam tickle from Wigan and a left back from gent.

4.) 26 Dec 2023 15:35:30
In the bleak midwinter, we can’t afford our ground,
Moshiri ruined our finances, they’re no longer sound

Dough had fallen, dough and dough,
Dough and dough and dough

In the bleak midwinter, our best players will have to go…

———

Cheers for the reality check Ed2. Administration is a big fear and more realistic than I had previously thought.

Can we survive without Onana, possibly (if Gomez can cut it) . Can we survive Branthwaite going? I don’t think so. Could we sell anyone else?

Christ knows what will happen with Dele Alli. What are our options Ed?

5.) 26 Dec 2023 16:47:38
Adam Wharton, 19 midfielder at Blackburn meant to be very good.

Agree we need to sell big where possible and invest in freebies and youth.

I like DCL but we could get some decent money still and having Beto helps softenthe sale, I'd sell him and Onana. Try keep Branthwaite as long as possible because he is class.
Play Dele for 6 games
I'd also have Barkley back, looking very fit and playing very good attacking, skillful football again.
Does anyone know how our young players out on loan are doing?

6.) 26 Dec 2023 19:33:24
I have no clue how the whole issue with the leeds, foxes situation works but my pennys worth is this. It would be very hard to prove we had an on field advantage such that would have kept us up over them. 19.5m what would they attribute that to that kept us up. Regardless of that we did break the rules but they got them selves in a position to be relegates by them selves as we did. Sueing us is never going to happen because if they won that would open a whole new world of law suits across the football world. I just dnt see a big payout to them at all.
Like i said i have no idea how it works i am prob well off the mark. Its just what i feel.

7.) 26 Dec 2023 20:48:15
Perhaps we should just wait and see what the result of our appeal is first. Before we decide to sell our best players and make fictitious payments to other clubs.

8.) 26 Dec 2023 20:54:11
Ed 2 Yes it maybe a loss of income. But we can only be relegated once every year. Therefore only one club 18th placed (9th and 20th went down on own merit) has any right to possible compensation.

9.) 26 Dec 2023 21:04:55
Obviously 19th + 20th.

10.) 26 Dec 2023 22:36:35
Absolutely, really don't get Leeds or the others, only Leicester and Burnley have any justification imo, both finishing 18th in the 2 years it took for action against us to be taken, and how is it our fault the premier League took this long, surely they should be suing the premier league as well?

Just imagine when City finally get their belated PTS dock, that means all teams in premiership since 2008 can sue them due to lost of earnings, league positions, sponsorship etc etc. Be barmy if happened but the way football is and the way the premier League and our club is ran wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

11.) 27 Dec 2023 11:02:25
Tell them all to fek off.

12.) 27 Dec 2023 11:52:08
We are not going into administration

The clubs can not sure Everton as no sporting advantage was gained while at the same time 3 separate accountants and the premier Leagues accountants all signed off our books and we only failed P&S because the premier league changed the rules as they needed someone to throw to the wolves as they were up in front of the select committee (I'm not saying our accounts are great but at least say it how it is)

Jack Harrison wants to stay at Everton (why wouldn't he)

And we won't be selling Branthwaite in January and I will be very surprised if we sell Onana (one will prob go in the summer with Onana being the more likely)

13.) 31 Dec 2023 04:25:52
Dont see how we can spend anything til the takeover situations are resolved. However, Leicester and the others have zero legal basis for any claim, administration is doubtful but still possible though. My main concern is the issue with finishing the stadium.

26 Dec 2023 12:22:54
Everton looking at Sam tickle wigans No1.

30 Aug 2023 17:49:42
Hi Ed002

Is there any truth in the rumours Iwobi and Gray are to leave before deadline? Thanks.

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - If possible - Fulham remain keen.}

1.) 30 Aug 2023 20:40:25
Well chermiti looks like a typical Everton signing in that he can’t control a ball and has no strength what so ever. Why would we bring him in and let cannon go?

2.) 30 Aug 2023 20:47:47
If we lose against Doncaster I’m sorry but Dyche has to go.

3.) 30 Aug 2023 20:57:23
Taxi on standby.

4.) 30 Aug 2023 22:33:45
Yeah, get rid of Dyche, great idea! I guess we get Mike Walker in to replace him?

5.) 30 Aug 2023 22:56:03
Beto looked good, used to playing away in Rome and Milan. One skewed shot is all. The rest, they’re horse mess. Keane and Godfrey, Doncaster wouldn’t take them on loan.

6.) 31 Aug 2023 06:26:49
It seem to me that Dyche has trust in youngsters from abroad but not in our home grown talent like Simms, Cannon and Mills, and then he plays the worst of our four in Dobbins
Terrible performances last night, we don’t seem have a plan going forward
Cash in on Godfrey, Mykolenko, both of them not even Doncaster standard
Patterson was terrible, his crosses were Sunday league standard, needs to improve or play Garner in His position.

7.) 31 Aug 2023 11:33:28
There’s a reason why Simms, Cannon and mills are playing in the EFL. Because that’s their level.

8.) 31 Aug 2023 12:29:41
Harry Kane started on loan at that level and didn’t pull up any trees yet look at him now. Needs. A manager to show some faith in them. After watching chermiti last night he would not even get on the Doncaster team so point is why sell out youngsters and replace them with worse players that cost more?

9.) 31 Aug 2023 12:47:19
Chermiti and dobbin need time. That’s why we’ve got Beto, Danjuna, Harrison and I’m guessing another winger when iwobi and grey go. Ross Barkley didn’t find form until 22ish, same for DCL. No point having a go at dobbin and Chermiti cause they ain’t ready.

10.) 31 Aug 2023 13:30:56
Are you seriously comparing Harry Kane to Tom Cannon?

11.) 31 Aug 2023 14:44:55
I am making the point that kanes first few years in lower league were nothing special. Think he scored 14 goals across 60 odd games for Leyton Orient, Norwich, Leicester and Millwall when they were all league 1 or championship teams. Cannon scored 8 in 20 so how do you know what his ceiling is? My point is more why not persevere with him rather than let him go and spend twice as much on chermiti who looked like a truly awful player last night against the worst team in the football league!

12.) 31 Aug 2023 15:12:52
we have lost 3 games on the bounce and you want cannon to get a chance. a lot of our fans need a reality check and stop this nonsense romanticizing young players just starting based on no evidence whatsoever.

13.) 31 Aug 2023 15:22:10
I’d rather sell Iwobi, Grey, Gomes, Gbamin and Alli….

14.) 31 Aug 2023 15:31:27
They all have to start from somewhere and given an opportunity Simms Cannon and Mills have never been given the opportunity, what must our youngsters especially Cannon be thinking after Chermiti’s first half performance, “get me out of here “ fast.

15.) 31 Aug 2023 15:33:55
You’re judging a 19 year old based off one game, as against Cannon from 20.
Safe to say it’s best to defer to Dyche’s judgment over yours.

16.) 31 Aug 2023 16:50:04
They not given a chance because our fans call for their heads the 1st bad game they play. Be a lot easier to develop youngsters if we could go 2 goals up in a game tho.

17.) 31 Aug 2023 17:12:28
I think the calls to try Cannon were more "he can't be worse than Maupay", not expecting him to score 30 a season. Can see either giving him some game time or cashing in being equally valid choices right now.

As for Chermiti, not sure he got much decent service or support and it's his first start.

Anything to give us some hope of survival Ed’s ?.

Stop watchin Everton mate, will add years to your life.

24 Jan 2023 18:40:03
Hi Ed’s can someone clarify what the ? is going on!
Who’s heading out of the club in the last weeks of the window?
If so who are we targeting?

What managers are we looking at with a real intention of appointing?

Eddy

{Ed025's Note - I wish I knew eddy. Everything is up in the air right now with rumours of players going and uncertainty over who the new manager will be mate. Things should be clearer over the next few days but it’s all guesswork for now..

1.) 24 Jan 2023 19:02:04
It’s madness thelwell should be left to do his job which actually might gives us a chance rather than moshiri bring in someone who he wants and does fit our squad! I really hopes it’s not Allardyce. People keep saying dyche is a firefighter he’s not! He was at Burnley for 7 years building his team I think he could do a job but I think we honest need to think of someone for the short term and long term ie if we get relegated or stay up can we progress with the new manager will he work under thelwell in the future. As for the players who want to go sell them asap if they have options and get some players in who will be up for fighting the the clubs present and future.

2.) 24 Jan 2023 19:23:15
They don't communicate to the fans the very people that pay their wages, when criticised they attack those fans with false accusations of violence. Managers are turning them/ us down. Do I exagerate?

05 Jan 2023 17:07:33
I really hope we are not going to spend money on Danny Ings yes he’s a good finisher but at the age of 30 with his injury record with his knees it’s this type of signing why we are here. Ageing players on high wages with no sell on value. How can’t the club see this. Look at Brighton and Brentford they have been smart in the transfer market for a few years now and look at the teams they have created. It’s really not that hard. Why not take the risk on the younger players with potential and low fee rather than wait for 2/ 3 seasons and pay a 30 million premium because they’ve played in the pl.

Eddy

1.) 05 Jan 2023 18:01:10
Not bothered if a player is 108 and has no sell on value as long as he contributes to us staying in the Prem.

2.) 05 Jan 2023 18:34:58
I'd fully support a loan deal (get that Vigrane defender cancelled) but to pay any fee for him is another repeating mistake.

3.) 05 Jan 2023 19:19:01
Doesn't seem worth the hassle. Some sections of the fan base won't want him just because he played for them over the park. That's without taking into account his injury record over the last few seasons. Have we really fallen so far that we see Ings as a saviour? God help us all!

23 Aug 2022 18:47:24
Ed are we trying to sign Joao Pedro as a replacement for Gordon/ richarlison? Do you think Everton are going to let Gordon leave. Surely at the rumoured 60mil it’s a amazing deal for Everton and the player himself. If they are going to sell him he shouldn’t be anywhere near that pitch tonight because you know how Everton’s luck goes ….

Eddy

{Ed025's Note - I don’t know if joao Pedro is now the target eddy but at £60m I would bite their arm off mate..

22 Aug 2022 20:27:07
Just hope we’ve got some players ready to sign as soon as Gordon has gone and get the season started! Hopefully we
Could get kudus in to add to the attacking play maybe sarr or terrier and gana maybe one more striker.

Eddy

1.) 22 Aug 2022 20:51:44
Think Hudson odi would also be a good option.

3 wins isn’t good enough yeah we have sacked managers to early in the past. But Frank isn’t a manager we sacked too early! Have you seen our league position? Our tactics well you couldn’t have because we didn’t have any! A half decent manager would have us 10th place.

Set up moshiri and whoever aren’t allowing people to do their job roles with freedom and that’s where i think the problem lies. Hopefully changes are coming and the right people can go and perform there jobs to the highest possible standard without interference.

The comments about him being the same level as pep and klopp are a distraction tactic to take the focus off the team and straight on to him which looks like it has worked because that’s all the media are talking about and not that Leeds are in trouble and under pressure.

Tonight’s game was a no pressure game for the players compared to the pressure Saturdays games going to be which is a must win simple ad that can I see the players being ready for that type of match? No. Will lampard have them tactically ready? No will his subs be like for like in the game? Yes behind the scenes is not lampard la fault he can’t have any effect on that. But on the pitch it all comes down to him. When the transfer window closed he stated he was happy with his squad going into the season. He chooses the tactics which he uses game to game which seem to be exactly the same for each game. I think we 100% need a change of manager and hopefully thelwall can do what’s he’s been paid to do and find someone to move us in the right direction.

Ed can you see lampard leaving soon? He has been bad with his tactics and in game management! Yes he’s brought the fans and a feel good factor around the club at a crucial point but he’s needs to have more than that. We need a manager who’s that t ally astute and knows how to grind out wins our even draws because we are staring a Sunderland style future if the club can’t get it right in the next month or so. !

Eddy

{Ed002's Note - FL has not been given the tools - he has been given what Thelwell wants.}
