{Ed002's Note - Everton have huge financial issues and Onana is very saleable - they woul like to add Emiliano Martinez of Midtjylland but I rather doubt they would be able to get a Work Permit. Hannibal would not be a replacement. Garner would with a bit of a MF shuffle see out the season.}

Unfortunately Branthwaite is also a big asset with a big transfer fee possible, with everyone from Real Madrid to man city rumoured to be lurking, I'd rather see Onana go, but our status in the ffp is looking dire, we might end up selling both sooner than anticipated!

West Ham interest has moved on but Arsenal may look again after failing to agree alternatives. Newcastle spoke with Everton in the summer but have now identified another player as their primary DM/CM target. Manchester United had him a long way down their list of targets but failed to sign preferred options in the summer and he may still be of interest, but I rather doubt it. Arsenal will look to perhaps early agreement for a move for the summer.}

Ed do we have a interest in Alex Robertson Man City midfielder on loan at Portsmouth.
{Ed002's Note - Alex Robertson (AM/CM) Has had a very good season on loan so far at Portsmouth and, if promoted, have a tentative agreement to keep him for another season at Fratton Park. Everton and Celtic have sent scouts to watch him but a move is unlikely.}

Ed002 hope your well. what's our january going to look like. Will web actively pursuing some players or if any outgoings happen be reactive to that.
{Ed002's Note - I would not have high expectations of significant additions with Everton having to clean up the financial mess they are in. They need to reduce the wage bill further and utilise the cheaper or free options available to them and utilise youngsters where they can. There will also be a need for the sale of players liked by the fans, such as Branthwaite. Leicester, Burnley and Leeds are open to negotiation a soultion to the concerns Everton have about being forced in to Administration which would see a further points deduction and financial constraints which could strangle the club. So a negotiated solution makes sense - but it could hit the club very hard.
Everton have another eight players who are out of contract in the summer - Harrison (who will return to Leeds), Lonegan, Young, Coleman, Gueye, Dele Alli, Gomes and Danjuma (who will return to Villareal). They have a huge issue with respect to Dele Alli which needs to be fixed somehow. There are another seven players who will be entering the last year of their contracts. Selling Onana would help them out as any loans or sale of part of the club would only help with the stadium they cannot now afford.}

Cheers for the reality check Ed2. Administration is a big fear and more realistic than I had previously thought.
Can we survive without Onana, possibly (if Gomez can cut it) . Can we survive Branthwaite going? I don’t think so. Could we sell anyone else?
Christ knows what will happen with Dele Alli. What are our options Ed?

Adam Wharton, 19 midfielder at Blackburn meant to be very good.
Agree we need to sell big where possible and invest in freebies and youth.
I like DCL but we could get some decent money still and having Beto helps softenthe sale, I'd sell him and Onana. Try keep Branthwaite as long as possible because he is class.
Play Dele for 6 games
I'd also have Barkley back, looking very fit and playing very good attacking, skillful football again.
Does anyone know how our young players out on loan are doing?

I have no clue how the whole issue with the leeds, foxes situation works but my pennys worth is this. It would be very hard to prove we had an on field advantage such that would have kept us up over them. 19.5m what would they attribute that to that kept us up. Regardless of that we did break the rules but they got them selves in a position to be relegates by them selves as we did. Sueing us is never going to happen because if they won that would open a whole new world of law suits across the football world. I just dnt see a big payout to them at all.
Like i said i have no idea how it works i am prob well off the mark. Its just what i feel.

Absolutely, really don't get Leeds or the others, only Leicester and Burnley have any justification imo, both finishing 18th in the 2 years it took for action against us to be taken, and how is it our fault the premier League took this long, surely they should be suing the premier league as well?
Just imagine when City finally get their belated PTS dock, that means all teams in premiership since 2008 can sue them due to lost of earnings, league positions, sponsorship etc etc. Be barmy if happened but the way football is and the way the premier League and our club is ran wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

We are not going into administration
The clubs can not sure Everton as no sporting advantage was gained while at the same time 3 separate accountants and the premier Leagues accountants all signed off our books and we only failed P&S because the premier league changed the rules as they needed someone to throw to the wolves as they were up in front of the select committee (I'm not saying our accounts are great but at least say it how it is)
Jack Harrison wants to stay at Everton (why wouldn't he)
And we won't be selling Branthwaite in January and I will be very surprised if we sell Onana (one will prob go in the summer with Onana being the more likely)

I am making the point that kanes first few years in lower league were nothing special. Think he scored 14 goals across 60 odd games for Leyton Orient, Norwich, Leicester and Millwall when they were all league 1 or championship teams. Cannon scored 8 in 20 so how do you know what his ceiling is? My point is more why not persevere with him rather than let him go and spend twice as much on chermiti who looked like a truly awful player last night against the worst team in the football league!

People keep saying dyche is a firefighter he’s not! He was at Burnley for 7 years building his team I think he could do a job but I think we honest need to think of someone for the short term and long term ie if we get relegated or stay up can we progress with the new manager will he work under thelwell in the future. As for the players who want to go sell them asap if they have options and get some players in who will be up for fighting the the clubs present and future.

I really hope we are not going to spend money on Danny Ings yes he’s a good finisher but at the age of 30 with his injury record with his knees it’s this type of signing why we are here. Ageing players on high wages with no sell on value. How can’t the club see this. Look at Brighton and Brentford they have been smart in the transfer market for a few years now and look at the teams they have created. It’s really not that hard. Why not take the risk on the younger players with potential and low fee rather than wait for 2/ 3 seasons and pay a 30 million premium because they’ve played in the pl.

Tonight’s game was a no pressure game for the players compared to the pressure Saturdays games going to be which is a must win simple ad that can I see the players being ready for that type of match? No. Will lampard have them tactically ready? No will his subs be like for like in the game? Yes behind the scenes is not lampard la fault he can’t have any effect on that. But on the pitch it all comes down to him. When the transfer window closed he stated he was happy with his squad going into the season. He chooses the tactics which he uses game to game which seem to be exactly the same for each game. I think we 100% need a change of manager and hopefully thelwall can do what’s he’s been paid to do and find someone to move us in the right direction.

Ed can you see lampard leaving soon? He has been bad with his tactics and in game management! Yes he’s brought the fans and a feel good factor around the club at a crucial point but he’s needs to have more than that. We need a manager who’s that t ally astute and knows how to grind out wins our even draws because we are staring a Sunderland style future if the club can’t get it right in the next month or so. !
