Brilliant news to hear that a bid has been lodged for Everton, really chuffed to read this news.

{Ed002's Note - There is a long way to go still for the MSP bid.}

Bell and Downing would make amazing owners if they buy us. Lifelong blue noses and very very deep pockets.

Reading the echo this morning it appears Downing and Bell have got backing from the MS Dell family in America . I presume this is the dell computers company, Michael S Dell is according to wiki the 10th richest person in the world via Forbes list, worth net £124 Billion. The report in the echo is also being reported by sky sports news with a bid of £1.2 billion . Please check the story yourselves
If true then hopefully this is what we’re all waiting for.

{Ed025's Note - im taking nothing for granted just yet Big C, they are an investment company and will not be a cash cow for Everton to go on another spending spree mate, these are money people who will be looking for a return so as much as i dont want to rain on anyones parade i think we should be careful not to think this is a gift from the gods..

You got to admit Ed, things look abit more positive for us Toffees, long way to go yes but after last few years we've had especially last year or so a very much welcome glimmer of hope, hopefully they can get in and get our club back on a even keel and give us fans some genuine optimism for the future because boy do we need it.

{Ed025's Note - i just dont want any more false dawns Mocker, i think its great that it seems people are interested in investing in us...but this is Everton mate..never forget that.. :)

Let us have a small nugget of positivity, Ed.

Cheer up Ed 25 it has to stop raining sometime, even Noah found dry land eventually, admittedly he was up to his neck in animal poo but maybe the sunshine is creeping around the grey clouds . Up the F…in’ Toffee’s.

{Ed025's Note - love it Big C, im jumping on the bandwagon now mate..

I think the important thing is not so much how deep the investors/ buyers pockets are or whether they’re blues supporters, but more as to their ability to completely overhaul the clubs commercial set up, scouting and youth development and first team squad quality. Making Everton a sustainable business has to be the first priority? An actual coherent and clear model when it comes to recruitment would t go a miss either.
