Hi Ed, was just wondering who we have interest in concerning right back. Forgive me if it's on an old post but can't seem to find it expect what you said about Lazaro. Are we targeting somebody to replace Coleman straight away or for the future? Cheers mate.

toffeejoe

{Ed002's Note - Nothing on the immediate horizon Joe, but:
Kieran Trippier (RB) will be possible if the player decides to stay in England
Thomas Meunier (RB) wanted by Everton and Arsenal but financial a step too much for Arsenal - and Everton will likely have to think twice
Valentino Lazaro (RM/RW/RB) looked at by RBL, Newcastle, Brighton, Bayer Leverkusen, PSG Leicester and Everton but talks are on-going with Napoli (who are not as attractive to the player) and Inter who expect to strike a deal - but he would be a great fix for the right hand side, particularly if Malcom could be added as well
}

1.) 26 Jun 2019 14:54:08
Brilliant thanks Ed. I have seen links to Arias and Maehle, think he’s the right back for Genk. Would these be viable options for the RB position?

{Ed002's Note - Atletico's Santiago Arias (RB) is known to Brands but has said he wants to stay in Spoain and play more regularly know that Juanfran is leaving. Add to that Champions League it seems unlikely. I would think expensive as well.

Joakim Maehle (RB) Genk do not want to sell but the player wants to move on - Southampton has a sustained interest in the player. I am pretty sure Everton have not approached Genk at this time.

2.) 26 Jun 2019 23:40:00
Thank you mate.

Hi Ed, hope you are well mate. Following on from your update, I keep seeing links to Che Adams and Neres: is there any interest from us for these two players. Thankyou in advance.

toffeejoe

{Ed002's Note - Neres is seen as an option but there is serious interest from elsewhere. I am not aware of any Everton interest in CA.}

04 Apr 2019 12:13:02
Hi Ed, hope you enjoyed your travels and have arrived back safely. Was just wondering if you would be able to give us the full update please mate, no worries if not. Cheers.

toffeejoe

{Ed002's Note - Here you go Joe.

Need RB, CB, CM, RW and S but money will be tighter and sales need to happen to raise funds and make space in the squad - no "homegrown" issues.

Alex Telles (LWB) - no chance of a move to Everton, but he has been looked at for reasons that are unclear to me

Velentine Lazaro (RM/RW/RB) looked at by RBL, Newcastle, Brighton, Bayer Leverkusen, Leicester and Everton but talks are on-going with Napoli who expect to strike a deal - but he would be a great fix for the right hand side, particularly if Malcom could be added as well

Kurt Zouma (CB) Everton has asked a "third party" to talk with Chelsea about the price of KZ, but it is unclear if the player would be open to the move and there is tentative interest from elsewhere - else Everton may need integrate Matthew Pennington in to the squad

Abdoulaye Doucoure (DM/CM) - if Gueye moves Everton may look to him as an option again, but Watford don't want to sell

Andre Gomes (CM) first choice for CM is to complete the signing of AG but it could take a big chunk out of the summer budget

Bruno Fernandes (AM) - No chance that anything will come of it

Malcom (RW) - something may well be possible

Edin Dzeko (S) an enquiry has been made but with his age it would be only a short term fix
Rafael Leao (S) watched by Everton after he impressed when the scouts were there to watch another player (Thiago Maia). Barcelona also has an interest in Rafael Leao and a number of other sides including Newcastle, Manchester City and Spurs have looked at him. It might be a tough ask to drop out of a likely Champions League club and move to Everton in the summer.}

1.) 04 Apr 2019 17:11:41
Great info Ed. If we do lose Gueye in the summer then Doucoure would be a great replacement for me. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I would agree but I would not hold my breath for Abdoulaye Doucoure to be making a move to Everton. My pick would be Jordan Veretout who is available and could be seen as a financially viable option.}

2.) 04 Apr 2019 18:51:23
Thanks Ed I really do hope we promote some of u23s who have been doing well into the squad next season. Can you see us getting a back up for Pickford.

{Ed002's Note - I would think next year is more likely when Stekelenburg's contract runs out.}

3.) 04 Apr 2019 20:29:14
Ed When you say Veretout would be your choice, does that mean Everton have looked at him as an option?
Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

4.) 05 Apr 2019 00:54:19
Superb mate as ever, thankyou. It’s going to be just as important that we manage to raise sales for these types of players, is there much interest that you know of in terms of players leaving mate? e.g Tosun, Walcott, not too sure about Schneiderlin etc.

{Ed002's Note - I would think that the following will either be available or subject to interest from elsewhere Joe:
Cuco Martina (RB/D) - need to find a buyer in the low countries I would think - no future at Everton
Luke Garbutt (LB) decision to be made
Leighton Baines (LB) out of contract
Michael Keane (CB) Everton will look to keep him but there will be interest
Kurt Zouma (CB) Everton want to buy Zouma
Phil Jagielka (CB) maybe retirement is the best option - out of contract
Ashley Williams (CB) - strikes me if he keeps playing he will be fodder for someone like Port Vale
Morgan Schneiderlin (DM) - if a buyer can be found but may need to keep if Gueye gets his wish to leave - perhaps the summer but Everton will need to keep the asking price reasonable
Idrissa Gueye (CM/DM) - PSG keen and the one that could bring in much needed money
Muhamed Besic (CM)
Andres Gomes (CM Everton will try to buy him
James McCarthy (CM) - a loan maybe but if no and he gets little game time then he will have to look to move on in the summer for better opportunities
Ademola Lookman (W) same as last year
Theo Walcott (RW)
Yannick Bolasie (LW)
Kevin Mirallas (S)
Cenk Tosun (S)
Shani Tarashaj (S)
Sandro Ramírez (S)
Oumar Niasse (S).}

5.) 05 Apr 2019 14:58:39
Thank you Ed, it looks like it could be a big summer. Hope you enjoyed your travels mate.

{Ed002's Note - It would be reasonable to expect a lot more would be leaving rather than arriving Joe.

6.) 05 Apr 2019 21:12:55
David Neres RW from Ajax apparently talks under way over possible transfer.

7.) 05 Apr 2019 23:31:45
No mention of a keeper to push Pickford at all very suprising.

8.) 06 Apr 2019 15:58:49
Well if championship manager is to go by I bought Neres in 2019 for Everton it is now 2026 and we have won champions league 3 yrs on trot, are defending world club champs and he is 3 times world player of year :) just saying.

9.) 07 Apr 2019 08:56:09
How likely Christian Koame Genoa?

10.) 08 Apr 2019 15:36:52
Thanks ed002.

{Ed002's Note - You can now add Kieran Trippier (RB) to the list.}

11.) 08 Apr 2019 19:53:52
How old is trippier now Ed? Think he’s a good right back but it will be a challenge to replace Seamus. I also would take a lint on Mitrovic, seri or sessengong from Fulham.

{Ed001's Note - 28.}

26 Mar 2019 15:53:06
Hi Ed, sorry to bother you just wondering if that update is available yet. No worries if not I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. Cheers.

toffeejoe

{Ed002's Note - I am travelling and will be away another week. Remind me then please - about Thursday and I will do the full thing. I have done a mini-update.}

1.) 26 Mar 2019 17:29:47
Much appreciated, enjoy your travels.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks.}

Hi Ed, hope you are well. Just wondering if ther was any chance you could give us a little update on potential ins and outs regarding the summer if you get a chance. No worries if not or if it has already been mentioned. Cheers mate.

{Ed002's Note - In a few days Joe.}

Hi Ed, was reading some of the posts on other pages and seen you say on the Southampton page regarding Martyn Glover that Moshiri is taking advice from a third party which is a problem. Just wondering if you were able to offer some insight into that, does it relate to Kia Joorbichan? Thanks mate.

toffeejoe

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Kia.}

I really don't know what to say, I'm all out of hope. On one hand, it's obvious that Silva is another manager not capable but then this constant cycle of sacking managers is destroying us at the same time. For me the players are as much of an embarrassment, 4 or 5 managers now and no heart or guts. It's a joke.

toffeejoe

1.) 02 Feb 2019 19:24:58
Maybe in hindsight we should have kept Martinez.

2.) 02 Feb 2019 20:10:45
I don't think we'd be any worse off and certainly could have had a too striker with the dosh we've blown on managers since.

3.) 02 Feb 2019 21:12:48
No, we would have got relegated. Martinez is an awful club Manager.

Haven't posted on here in a while guys, hope everyone as well. Gutting news about Leicester yesterday, an owner who has done so much for their club and city, it's amazing to see how the whole football world comes together and I also wish Glenn Hoddle a speedy recovery in a very sad day yesterday.

Been quietly getting excited about the blues at the minute, I missed the palace game unfortunately but we showed quality getting the goals at the end and it sounded like the atmosphere was great. I am optimistic about today which is hasn't happened going to a top 6 club for a while. I just hope we play our game and I think that's Marco will do, be a great benchmark to see where are at.
It's going to be another Oviedo baby day I hope today, come on the blues 2-1 to the ev.

Hi fellas, hope you are all well haven't been on a while but still been reading the posts. Too early to say how this season will go, having been at Goodison for our home games it's mostly been poor but I know there is the need for patience and time to gel. I have confidence that Silva is the right fit and I can't wait to see Mina come into the side. But I'm absolutely gutted seeing tonight's result, having not seen my team lift a trophy in my whole life and the completely dismal performances year on year in this cup makes me so angry. Wouldn't say it's winnable but if we'd played our strongest side we win tonight, Silva made a huge mistake. I just don't get why the lack of hunger from the club comes from to end the trophy drought. Anyway, as bad as life as a blue gets, onwards to Leicester on Saturday. Need to continue the momentum in the league.

toffeejoe

{Ed025's Note - hiya joe, yeah mate massive faux pas by silva last night, but i will forgive him if we win our next 5 games mate..

1.) 03 Oct 2018 22:54:20
Am hacked off with all this rosy glasses crap. 'Oh but aren't we playing nice football'. Football is conpetetive in case you missed it. A Benitez or the lad fron Bournmouth would have us flying. Don't know what sone of you watch but that was awful and against an awful opposition.

2.) 04 Oct 2018 07:47:12
if you are hacked off by the rose tinted glasses crap just think how we all feel having to listen to all you doom and gloom merchants

PS what has Howe done or won? He plays pretty football but is all at sea defensively - maybe that's why he likes the south coast and moved back there as soon as he could. Benitez has done nothing at Newcastle, didn't want a Director of Football to work with him and gets advice from Allardyce when it comes to attacking football

At the end of the day though both are not our manager, Silva is. Moshiri took his own advice, not Bill Kenwright's, not yours, not mine so why don't you do as you say you would and support him and the team instead of moaning all the time or is your opinion the only thing that matters to you

I guess I am what you called a sycophant - right after you said you didn't condone insults because of your high standards?

Hi, hope you're well mate. Been in London for the last week so haven't really been keeping up to date with goings on. Sounds like Gibson is going to Burnley and Mina is not happening. Do you have any news on incomings regards to centre backs or midfielders? Cheers mate.

30 million plus for a 29 year old, I would take it mate. He’s excellent in some parts of the game but his passing is so poor.

Was about to post the same mate, there is definitely a player there. Get him alongside Tosun and they could form a clever partnership. Just needs a couple of goals to kick on, really hopes he's given a chance. You bring back in Gylif, Gueye, Walcott, Pickford and Richarlison and I think our tempo will increase and we'll start to play some decent stuff. That defence needs sorting though as soon as. Would love RLC too.

Hope he can develop under Silva but he makes too many mistakes for my liking and doesn't look comfortable as a ball playing centre half. Maybe holgate would be a better option alongside our new centre half.
