Really think we should be selling Gueye imho yes he does a great job for us but to get to the next level we need someone who can see a pass and tackle. The other thing is we shouldn’t be keeping a player who doesn’t want to be here you blocking a player from his dream move! Will his performances drop in the last half of the season because he doesn’t want to be here. 100%. We have enough cover in McCarthy Beni schinderlin Davies.

1.) 31 Jan 2019 20:45:10
I agree mate, he has been nowhere near his best this past month probably due to the fact head and heart had been turned towards Paris. same old Everton I’m afraid. all us fans can see it week to week in his performances but wrong decisions continually taken by the club.

2.) 31 Jan 2019 20:46:32
Beni off to Wigan on loan.

{Ed025's Note - unfortunate that glt, i thought he deserved at least a shot on the bench..

3.) 31 Jan 2019 20:53:21
Yes good time for the younger players to learn with nothing to play for except pride.

4.) 31 Jan 2019 21:04:10
Looked okay but the manager works with him daily and obviously can’t see enough to bring him in, maybe loan will provide game time and a better option to improve.

5.) 01 Feb 2019 11:44:39
I doubt if our manager takes any notice of the players in the u23's etc, only looks at limited options.

18 Jan 2019 19:49:50
What’s happening with Batshuayi. On his way to Monaco and then Chelsea won’t sign the deal off and now we looking to do a deal if all the media is true.? Any Ed’s shed any light on it. Now that Niasse has gone and maybe Tosun going I can see why we are getting linked. I now do think we will sign a striker.

{Ed002's Note - This was dealt with a week or two ago. Nothing has changed but if anyone were willing to pay the increased price to compensate for a January move then it is possible - else it would be a loan to, probably, Monaco. Clubs are not going to be keen on paying the additiona compensation fees.}

1.) 19 Jan 2019 02:49:08
There's a report saying we've now made an actual offer to Chelsea for €30M. Nothing to it?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any €30M bid and obviously it would be laughed at if there were. The asking price, if you want it in Euro, would be around €47M - increased because of the reasons I have already provided. Right now the player has meade it clear he wants elsewhere.}

2.) 19 Jan 2019 10:50:56
Looks like Chelsea want to sell and Monaco want a loan. Therefore Chelsea will hold the deal in case a offer they like for a permanent move happens. It’s January and clubs get desperate.

{Ed002's Note - Right.}

3.) 19 Jan 2019 11:12:50
i like him as a player but not at that price not for me rather go for others who are cheaper.

{Ed002's Note - Everton has made an enormous mistake in dropping interest in Emiliano Sala.}

4.) 19 Jan 2019 11:37:29
Which Ed we will probably realise when he scores goals for Cardiff and then we will end up offering silly money for in the summer.

5.) 19 Jan 2019 21:44:34
We done that already Johny, we paid £27 Million for Tosun and around £5 and odd Million for Sandro, if you include a Niasse, that’s more than the price of a Michy Bats.

I know who I would have out of the four, there’s a player in Michy, probs best we can hope for in the January window, other than Dzeko, but I think that ship has sailed.

11 Jan 2019 15:17:07
Ed002 loads of reports we want batshauyi on a permanent transfer can you tell us if it’s true or false.

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained it is not as easy to do that as perhaps everyone thinks and again as I said, Valencia have spoken with a couple of other sides about taking on the second half of his loan - and that is what I very much expect will happen. One of those sides has now spoken with Chelsea and I would expect the deal to go through very quickly. So I really would not get your hopes up about the "loads of reports" (which would typically be one report being repeated).}

1.) 11 Jan 2019 15:41:45
cheers ed002 for the update.

2.) 11 Jan 2019 15:49:22
Thanks Ed 👍🏽.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

3.) 12 Jan 2019 07:39:46
Hi Ed well I’m no professor but I think for years now we missing a 15-20goal season striker new managers come in sign him and him no prolific strikers batshauyi is not why we need in my eyes anouther goal here goal there player our ambitions I’m sorry u have spend big I feel sorry for players we have recently bought Mina digen Bernard all exciting players given all the talk before they sign now look 11th in league struggling beat low team sides Everton stop looking round I fan for players start buying from Harris’s rant over lol.

31 Dec 2018 21:55:13
Any info on the reported interest in Callum Wilson and batshauyi thanks.

1.) 01 Jan 2019 01:00:51
Would love Wilson worked with loads of Bomo fans and he's quality.

2.) 02 Jan 2019 10:17:15
Fully agree re Wilson. Powerful, makes good runs and a great finisher. We do put some decent balls into the box and I can't handle watching nobody going for them like keeps happening at the moment. Wilson is proven in the premier league and would score a hatful with supply from Richarlison, Sigurdsson and Bernard.

Would also like to see us go for Wan Bissaka from Palace to take over from Coleman. Good defender and a real threat going forward.

I think if we got those two and Silva stopped tinkering (aside from dropping Walcott) we'd have a decent second half of the season, although can't see Bournemouth or Palace letting either go in January.

30 Dec 2018 11:56:50
One thing Everton need to do is build a squad before we start building the stadium. Look at the effect it has had on spurs transfers in the summer they spent zero but because they had a decent squad it didn’t effect them. We can’t expect us to build a stadium and still go out and splash money because FFP won’t allow that so I’d say we’ve got 4/ 5 windows to assemble a decent squad to challenge the top 6. We can’t expect to be a big club because of the past.

Yes we might be a household name but there are at least 6 bigger clubs than us in this country who have been and still are doing better than us. The past cannot be changed so we as fans need to look to the future with the current owner and his ideas and back them starting at the ground the fans play a big part in games too and I am afraid Goodison isn’t what it was 6 years ago it’s so quiet and a lot of groaning.

1.) 30 Dec 2018 15:02:32
I think we are a lot of the players we are targeting are younger players. Who will develop while we have limited funds.

2.) 30 Dec 2018 21:58:01
Eddy, we are a very poor average team still, we've spent around 380 million, nothing going to happen for us, gk, useless, cm 1 out of 3 and forwards none, same every year, crap, and manager wise, anyone of us reading to do the same job.

3.) 31 Dec 2018 10:47:32
Griffy bet your house was fun over xmas jeez mate c'mon your either a red or u need to lighten up mate.

4.) 31 Dec 2018 14:10:59
Groffo realists like us will not be disappointed that's for sure we may be surprised one day but not with Siva in charge, and Moshiri needs better advise on picking managers.

5.) 31 Dec 2018 16:43:58
Come on how much did city spend before something happened more than we have.

6.) 31 Dec 2018 16:44:11
dark cloud i may have asked u this before but i cnt remember who would your choice for manager be mate.

7.) 31 Dec 2018 18:16:47
Not what you spend Berkshire but who and what calibre you buy. You raise City but before Fair Play (whatever that is supposed to mean) , it didn't matter a jot to them or Chelsea (before Abravomic had enough) . As one of the Ed's says, you really need to understand how the system works. All I know is that since Moyes, I think I am right no Manager has had a better win percentage. Indicates two things:- A. Money is not always the answer and B. The best thing for an owner is to seek certain (as near as damn) good advice. All I have seen is an owner/ Chairman allowing the fans to influence their thinking and reaction. This is a multi-million/ billion £/ $ business it needs head above heart. The only exception (maybe) is City, with undefined deep pockets. Whoever the person is under the moniker of Ed002, they speak very good sense. We finished 8th last season and that was down to Alardyce and nobody else. The bloke is professional, doesn't have to love his employer, just do his best job and he did that. If you want to win or more importantly not lose, you first of all have to protect what you have and to achieve that, you have to work damn hard. I will be there tomorrow as I am/ have been at all home games with the exception of illness/ holidays and far more important than a game, Family, for some many years, as usual heart will be in mouth, all intelligence of thought and sense will depart and the will for my Team to win forego everything else for some 2 hrs. COYB.

Am sorry to say The Ed’s are right Marco Silva is a journeyman and cannot see him lasting very long I am gutted really wanted it to work for him but with no plan b and staying with zonal marking is making his time with Everton be a lot shorter than it should be. Could the no funds in January be a sign? I know the books need balancing. If we do sack him I pray to god that brands picks the manager and not Moshiri.

1.) 26 Jan 2019 20:10:50
Look all the evidence was and is there, went to Hull a team all ready down and in reality his stats were average. Never the less, Watford were persuaded, 6 months later, Evertons fault.

2.) 26 Jan 2019 20:13:47
The board made the appointment same as RM, RK and SA unfortunately I agree and think their advic was not good as this is looking like the fourth, and to cap it all we are tied paying extortionate wages to a bunch of players that are also surplus!
Everton FC are in a poor position going forward and have been left in the wake of clubs like Tottenham.

3.) 27 Jan 2019 08:59:39
At least with martinez and koeman they had a decent first season. And looked like might be going somewhere. More so martinez. Big Sam was just to get us out of a mess. A mess imo that we would have got out of with unsy anyway. We just spent a lot of money knowing we were sacking Sam at the end of the season regardless. I think should have kept unsy Sam was a knee jerk reaction because moshris advisors just went on past reputation of Sam will get us out of it he always does.

20 Jan 2019 17:27:15
Would love us to make a move for Mitrovic.

1.) 20 Jan 2019 18:16:10
Don't rate him that highly really.

2.) 20 Jan 2019 18:22:35
Must admit I was just watching the Fulham Spurs game and I did wonder if someone like him could be what we are lacking up front.

3.) 20 Jan 2019 18:32:04
looks pretty good with plenty of pace could be a good move.

4.) 20 Jan 2019 18:40:32
Rather have Rondon. On that front, if our head coach does not change his Martinez like stubborness and tactical strategy, how many of our next 4 league games do people think we will win. My offering is 5 points. If he does put an out and out striker on and stick with him, plus our best players in their proper positions, I think 8 points.

5.) 21 Jan 2019 09:02:49
I like rondon too ducks. think calvert lewin is just as good tho and just needs games. my prediction is 10 points before the derby.

6.) 21 Jan 2019 11:04:37
Are Rondonand Mitrovic any better than Tosun or DCL?
Have we really seen enough to fully judge Tosun?

27 Dec 2018 20:40:10
Think if we replace ON with Mitrovic would be a great upgrade think he is a decent striker but he also puts his graftvi. When needed.

23 Dec 2018 11:17:18
If Chelsea are trying to offload batshauyi i would go all out and get him think his the type of striker we need.

15 Dec 2018 14:45:45
I liked the look off that front with Lookman DCL and Richarlison young woth a lot of potential and pace.

{Ed025's Note - we have the pace eddy but we need to be more clinical mate, and stop giving away soft goals as well..

1.) 15 Dec 2018 15:13:51
Agree Ed. we could have had three goals easily today with better finishing. These players should not be missing easy chances.

2.) 15 Dec 2018 16:13:24
It's not just today we've been missing chances for a while now, last 4 games 4 goals scored we need a forward in January.

3.) 15 Dec 2018 16:37:18
I think we need a quality striker though and not a gamble like Tosun. Would like us to give DCL a run in the team.

4.) 15 Dec 2018 17:15:33
Its not give goals away as well Ed. Its actually we need to tighten up in defence. Every game. not just City, we concede one, two or three goals. We won't win many no matter how well the forwards play when we concede so many. Yes it was city. but its yet another game where we scored yet lost! Conceded 22 in 17 now. Our big rivals conceded 6! that's the difference. not in attack. in defence.

{Ed025's Note - thats a fair point degsy, we missed gana today as well which did not help matters mate..

5.) 15 Dec 2018 21:10:47
Was it bad defending or pin point crosses that was the problem today, I’ve been scratching my head thinking how could two of City’s smaller players score three gaols against our defence, was it well timed runs and balls played between our central defenders that caught us flat footed while their two players knew where the ball was going to be played into or was it down to bad defending for the second and third goals.

6.) 15 Dec 2018 22:14:44
A bit of both Nev. Mina was imo doubly at fault for the first. The bad clearance followed by the positional error allowing Jesus to be onside. And didn't he fail to pick him up for the second? It's errors like that that need to be eliminated. Then you need someone who will be ruthless in front of goal. Sort those things out and we may stand a chance of breaking into the top 6.

It’s the lack of passion that gets me. And it’s pain me to say but I wish we had a manager that showed his passion like Klopp and even the wolves manager.

{Ed025's Note - it does make a difference eddy and gets the fans on side which is a really good thing..

Think if they are paying £25mil upwards it’s a great deal for everyone if we can get a replacement. 29 year old wanted by one of the biggest clubs in Europe you can’t blame him for wanting to go. Has something been offered or agreed as there are a fair few reports tonight.

Interesting reading that that’s a few of the Ed’s with the same view on silva. Ed0333 if that did happen who would be a viable option in yours eyes considering everything I know you like Rafa but I wouldn’t happen because if the history. I personally think we need a manager who shows passion on the side lines. And one who indulges himself into Everton like Martinez did he actually looked
Into our history and could tell you anything about the club ( not defending or a plan b ) . And his off the pitch work with charities was amazing which I really liked about him.

Hi Ed 0333 do you reckon silva with leave In the summer either sacked or resign as a lot of people have said he doesn’t stay At clubs long. M.

{Ed0333's Note - I personally think Silva will get his P45 in the summer Eddy. I just don’t think the guy is any better than Sam and Moshiri is no fool.

I think since the World Cup his save has gone to his head and the praise for his kicking to he now seems cocky to me rather than confident! I do think he will improve as he gets older but who could we attract who’s better? And I think as a club looking to build for the future and his name is in the lights we would cash in if a great offer comes in for England’s No1. His biggest down side for me though is his commanding of the box on crosses. Let’s hope he calms down abit and goes back to the keeper we know 👌🏼.
