Now reports saying the are at least four new lots of iUS investors plus a Quatar one good times ahead, just have some faith this will turn out alright for us.

Sounds more like Vultures circling than good times ahead, but as always GB I admire your eternal optimism and wish I saw the world through your eyes😂.

So many posters on here kept saying we were going down but we didn’t Sean managed with three games in hand and a good haul of points, so it not all bad news someone will come in and take us over and we begin again buddy, no point being negative all the time this is Everton after all.

Hope that you are correct GB. My biggest fear is that the stadium will not belong to the club and any revenues from other events at the stadium will benefit others.
We need new owners who want the club to get back to being among the elite, who get financially rewarded because the club is doing well, not using it as a cash-cow.
No doubt the players and Sean have done well to keep us in the premiership regardless of the eight point deduction but in the future I want us to be better run financially and also more attractive to watch. For us to succeed in the future we have to attract young supporters and that will only be possible if they see us playing exciting and attractive football. Getting rid of the over 30 brigade and bringing on young talent is the way forward and I am not sure your mate Sean is the right man for that task.

Reports in the Telegrapth that MSP are back in to buy Everton with FM getting cold feet with 777. if true surely good news?

Believable0 0Unbelievable

09 May 2024 10:40:26
Anyone but 777 would be good news IMO.

Agree1 0Disagree

09 May 2024 13:06:45
Ed's, do you know much about MSP? Would they be "decent" owners or do they come with their problems as well. I only ask as you were so vocal from the start to avoid 777 like the plague. Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I think that MSP would be fine owners, or at least investors. Originally they only wanted 25%. There is a chance that they could take shares in the stadium but the problem previously was the debt owed to Rights and Media Funding Limited (again over £200M) who blocked the move as they wanted the protection to be allowed to sell the stadium to a third party if the debt was not serviced. They would need persuading if MSP are back involved. And theu there is another £200M owed to 777 Partners now.}

Hi eds is there any truth in the rumour that spurs are interested in onana? I was only asking because it might help us sort out the dele Ali problem. Also if chelsea are really interested in pickford I would take a sensible offer because it would free up his big wages and I think that in Virginia we have a good enough replacement. I'm resigned to us losing our better players but we will have to be clever using free transfers and hopefully not wasting our 2 loans this time. I just hope that thelwell has a plan this transfer window.

{Ed002's Note - Spurs see Onana as an option to Hjulmand and others. It is unrelated to the Dele Alli situation. Chelsea are not looking to Pickford.}

08 May 2024 12:24:11
Andy, what has given you the idea that Virginia is a good enough replacement for Pickford?

I am not digging the lad out as I simply haven't seen enough of him to suggest that he can step into Pickfords shoes. After all, he has played 1 PL game, 2 Championship games at Reading, 1 Primeira game at Lisbon and 17 Eredivisie games for Cambuur.

I would rather us go and pick up a more experienced keeper who is at a big club but is not getting enough minutes like Ortega at City. I think he went to them for a free and would be a drop from Pickfords wages, as he is on around 85k a week,

Solid all round keeper. Good shot stopper, positioning is great, angles are solid, good with his feet, passing. Would be a decent replacement but not sure whether he would want to get 30+ PL games a season at us or bask in the easy sun of Man City.

I have watched him and of course he is plenty good enough (my opinion). Nobody is irreplaceable.

Ed’s just read were interested in a German U21 player Merlin Rohl as a possible replacement for Onana any strength in this one and your opinion on Rohl would also be appreciated thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Merlin Rohl (CM) Scouted by Everton and Crystal Palace according to his agent.}

Rumours that Kevin Malone has flown to the UK to try and sort a deal to buy us. this surely has to be better than 777 getting control.

Believable3 0Unbelievable

06 May 2024 08:30:34
Looks like he will fit the bill. Poor track record and signs players on high wages. Oh dear here we could go again lol.

06 May 2024 10:14:32
Pure speculation all of this none of us know what 777,Malone or any other potential buyers are likewe can only go by what the rags tell us, we all thought Moshiri was our Saviour and so did the press, look where that got us.

I just read that a reliable source has said he's heard nothing about this new investor so no point worrying about weather there suitable or not.

06 May 2024 15:00:02
Apparently this New takeover with Malone if it happens will carry with it very high interest rates, sounds very scary to me.

{Ed025's Note - im just sitting back and letting it play out GB, there is nothing we can do to influence things so what will be will be mate, we are in a big heap of trouble and we just have to hope that the players in this money go round come up with something that will benefit the club...but im not holding my breath..

Agree0 0Disagree

06 May 2024 15:25:38
Maybe it's a ploy to jerk 777 to close out the deal. I would prefer they get out of the deal.

I understand that financial circumstances may compell the club to sell Branthwaight, don't like it but that may be no option, but, please, please, please do not bring in Harry Maguire as the make weight, he is worse than Mikel Keane, by a county mile, either one would, on merit, struggle to get into a Sunday morning pub team .

Believable1 0Unbelievable

06 May 2024 08:15:37
Manure can't afford Braithwaite plus Maguires on half a million a week there fans hate him.

06 May 2024 10:58:47
We can't do swap deals we need the money. So if we are going to sell Branthwaite then it has to be for the best possible price we can achieve.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 May 2024 11:15:38
Papers saying utd trying to use Maguire to tempt us into selling Branthwaite, please nooooooo.

Believable1 0Unbelievable

05 May 2024 11:53:26
Hopefully his wages alone would make that unlikely.

Agree1 0Disagree

05 May 2024 13:48:05
I actually think he would suit us TBH, but saying that it would be a no from me his age and wages alone and questionable form. But could see him doing well for us under Dyche if did happen, I'd rather we used whatever money we had and looked elsewhere but wouldn't be opposed to Maguire on a seasons loan with Utd stumping up majority of his vastly priced wages.

Agree3 0Disagree

05 May 2024 15:28:24
We need the cash - there’s no way we can include a player in the deal.

05 May 2024 16:34:29
Too old, too clumsy, too expensive.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 May 2024 17:14:04
Definitely too expensive unless takes a 70+% cut. As a player? He'd be great for us. A goal scoring CB. Sure the style at UTD hasn't played to his strengths yet every time they've dumped him and hoped to off load him, he has fought his way back into match day and probably been their best defender even though they keep trying to dump him. In a low block side with only the front 3 occasionally doing a high press. He'd never be exposed. He is immense in the box and as a player i'd have him in a heartbeat. He'd actually be better than Branthwaite as Branthwaite has another 4 or 5 seasons of learning just like Stones did. Because he'd score us 5 or so goals a season and be just as solid. Have no idea how long his contract is and he'd probably stay until the end because wherever he goes he will never earn those numbers again A bit like when we had a load of players on 5 year contracts paying a fortune. You stay to the end. He probably retires from England after this summer too. I'd prefer us to risk it on another young up and coming player though and hope to strike gold again and get yet another massive profit in a couple of years.

We are changing our name to "The over 30's club"!

Agree0 0Disagree

05 May 2024 20:51:27
I’d be happy with the approach of looking at young, up and coming players with a potential sell on value. I’d be very disappointed if we signed Maguire. Don’t rate him personally and he fits the old model of old, expensive signings, hope we steer well clear.

Agree0 0Disagree

06 May 2024 06:52:43
If Branthwaite does go this summer would anyone consider playing Ben Godfrey in his actual position of centre half.

{Ed025's Note - he has not let us down Big C but he is a big come down from Jarrad mate, but sooner him than bloody Harry Maguire..

Agree1 0Disagree

06 May 2024 09:18:14
Godfrey struggled to win headers, not for me at CB.

Seems like Spuds are looking at Onana. Rickie apparently is surplus to requirements there, maybe a swap?
ManUre are looking at cash plus Maguire for Braithwaite (please God, not Harry) .

Believable1 0Unbelievable

05 May 2024 09:57:40
Can’t swap Onana for Ricky. We need money. Which is why swapping Branthwaite would also be a no brainier.

05 May 2024 10:06:59
Wage bill needs reducing also, that would be doing the polar opposite. Won’t happen.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 May 2024 13:33:31
Maybe that would depend on other incomings/ outgoings. I’d swap Richy for Onana in a heartbeat.

06 May 2024 11:03:53
What don't you guys get? We can't swap one player on a lower wage for another player on a higher wage.
We need to reduce our wage bill and do cash sales only. No swaps.

Blimey according to the Telegraph another lawsuit has been brought against 777 yesterday in New York, Ed re assets they said they owned but didn't,002 told us we should have stayed away from them.

{Ed025's Note - thats all we need GB..
