Disappointing result tonight.

Really missed doucore and didn’t really look like we were going to score tonight.

Think we can take some positives from tonight though - fluke goal and a penalty undone us otherwise not too bad defensively.

Got to say apart from the penalty Pickford was outstanding.

We got battered by a team that were only in first gear. If it hadn’t been for the keeper it could easily have been 5-0.
Only positive Iwobi got taken off again.

Holgate and Iwobi on the right will both be replaced in the summer with quality players. Next part of the rebuild.

I can't see us replacing Holgate but I expect Kenny will be replaced not sure about Iwobi either to be honest. I just can't see us making any money on him and don't think he will be sold at a loss. out of the current crop of players in the squad I can only see Bernard and Besic going and with Carlo saying he's only looking for two or three more Its not looking like a major rehaul is on the cards. I just hope Olsen and King are not two of the in comings if not then that's five permanent additions which gives me hope. If we don't have any major sales I would expect to see next years squad looking something like:

GK: Virginia Olsen Pickford
RB: Coleman AN Other
LB:Digne Nkounkou
CB: Keane Mina Holgate Godfrey
MF :Alan Doucoure Davis Delph Gomez Sigurdsson Gbamin Iwobi AN Otherx2
F: Richarleson DCL James King or Kean (if he's not sold)

With Small Branthwiate Simms Onyango and possible Baningeme pushing for a squad place if we have injuries.

I hope we cam sell delph and gomes potentially. Also if kean doesn't want to play for us then sell him.
