Honestly think Big Dunc would be better than SD.

Got smashed at Forest Green every game and played garbage football.

No thank you.

cannot see anything but a relegation dogfight for the upcoming season we have gone backwards from last season regarding ins and outs.
Hope I'm wrong.

Pessimistic blu.

We get someone in who can score goals and I think we will be fine RB. Fail to do that and I think we will be relegation fodder.

SD has never a decent budget got to give him time in my opinion, if he keeps our lot up he's a miracle worker.

Is anyone saying we shouldn’t give him time?

2.) 11 Mar 2023 19:56:23
Plenty.

3.) 11 Mar 2023 20:08:42
Yes a lot, and most wouldn't have given SD the time if day.

4.) 11 Mar 2023 20:12:33
Well yes how many managers have we been through, lots of blues wouldn't have given him time of day, alls I'm saying is imagine he had a decent budget and time.

5.) 11 Mar 2023 20:15:32
I won't be a hypocrite. I don't see the ambition or like his football or welcomed his appointmen but if he keeps this lot up and gets a winning, hardworking mentality (looking very probable) then he will deserve a fairer crack from me. Unfortunately we've been setup to fail completely these last 6 years. Years we all expected to return us to the top 6 and closer to the finals in domestic cups. We all know what's happened. I am here to be converted and won't meekly disappear and betray myself by bein a fanboy. A winning team is the most important. He's doing well I confess but I am still disappointed we are in this situation and honestly a little embarrassed as a fan. I'll never demand his head. I was very late to turn on FL who wasn't an exciting prospect for me either. I didn't put the boot into Rafa either until the last defeat. Wins put bums on seats and wins paint over personal tastes. If he keeps an above 50% win rate then I'm happy to support this regime. Is it the future? I don't know. Probably not.

{Ed025's Note - thats very magnanimous of you FBS giving sean a chance, he was the only manager available that could possibly save us and if he does deserves a chance to spend some money and build a side, it sounds like you think hes not good enough for everton, but let me tell you mate hes exactly what we need..

Some were questioning him. It's so funny on here. We win people celebrate and say how good we are. We lose different posters say how crap we are, worst team ever etc.

In my humble opinion and I said it before this squad is far better than they were playing under FL. It shows what he was trying was just not appropriate to say the least.

This should put an awful lot into perspective for people. I checked if the league started when Dyche took over where in the table we would be currently. Any guesses?

6th, yes, that's 6th from top. With actually less players than FL had. We sold Gordon. Dyche said himself numerous times this is a good group of players. The difference is the manager and the set up.

McNeil scoring the winner, clearing the ball off the line the other end. Doucoure like a new signing. Not only that. The tactics, team selection, formation etc. The little things like no hats, snoods etc at the training.

The psychological difference Dyche brings is unbelievable. The belief he instills. All without DCL who hopefully will be back when ready rather than rushed back.

Am I saying this team would win the league, no way. Point is they are playing more to their level now with a totally different set up. Still have a mountain to climb. Next few games will be very tough.

But in my opinion we have one of the best. If not the best man at the helm to get the best out of this group of players with the situation we are in.

{Ed025's Note - spot on NBTB..

7.) 11 Mar 2023 20:47:21
Credit where credits due 25. Though looking at the table its still alarming considering games played and fixtures up coming. Could get very dark very quickly. And yeah he's what we need to get a tune out of this lot right now. Also credit to the players who maybe short of talent but are working hard. A couple of ugly draws in the next few games would be amazing and if happen, I'll probably buy the Sean Dyche calendar for the office. UTFT.

{Ed025's Note - i have bought them all mate.. :)

8.) 11 Mar 2023 21:07:58
Excellentl post NBTB mate, we are sooooo lucky we have him as our manager I hope the board whoever they may be next season will back him he is best guy we could have as manager at this time Sean Dyche is a breath of fresh air after the last half a dozen managers we have had no bullxxxx, he just does what it says on the tin.

{Ed025's Note - dead right GB, and even if we do go down i will still be saying the same, we know the standard of player is not the greatest but if the give 100% i will back them all the way, and even if we do fail who better to try and get us back up mate?..

9.) 11 Mar 2023 21:19:14
Hahaha ?.

10.) 11 Mar 2023 22:49:09
Cheers GuernseyBlue. Absolutely Ed025. Worst case scenario it's a win with Dyche. His motto 'minimum requirement, maximum effort' is ideal for Everton. Supporters always reward effort and players trying their best no matter what.

11.) 12 Mar 2023 10:38:59
The ambition was to preserve our place at the top table and survive. If anyone believed that, especially given our struggles over the last couple of seasons, a miraculous surge to the top 6 and be in and around the latter stages of cups, then they were absolutely deluded. Any fan who has eyes can see that there has been an improvement since FL was sacked. For that reason alone, we should be getting behind the team and manager whether you wanted him or not.
Dyche was exactly what we needed at the time the job became available, name me someone who would be doing a better job right now that was free to take the job back in January?
Why not be happy, just for a wkend, that we took 3 points from a team that we were expected to get turned over by? A team that was unbeaten in 12 games before yesterday! We have some strange supporters who just want to moan and gripe for the sake of it ?.

12.) 12 Mar 2023 10:56:24
Thing is hard work only brings you so far. Yes it’s needed but you can’t score one goal and defend for our life’s the rest of the game every match. At some point Sean will have to show he can play football and I personally don’t think he can. We won’t be able to attract players as they don’t want to play that sort of football anymore only players that will sign is players like wood. I don’t rate Sean as a manager and it will take more than one win for me to change my mind.

13.) 12 Mar 2023 18:15:24
It's not one win though is it? His record has been relatively decent since he joined. That's no mean feat considering we were in free fall under FL.
We have been in a rough place for a few seasons and people expect these same group of players to all of a sudden start playing quality football? Some fans need to temper their expectations, honestly! Get behind the team and manager rather than bemoan what could be. If we had the squad for playing expansive football, Hollywood balls from one side of the pitch to the other, do you really think we would be in a relegation scrap? SD can take us forward from our current predicament and that, as fans, is all we can ask right now. We have had too many false dawn's but we are actually looking like a team again. The board have let us and the manager down by not getting in another forward, let's hope SD can work something out until DCL is back fit to play.
