Eds, I understood that Koeman was in line to replace Wenger at Arsenal within the next 2 years. Did that situation change and if not why do you feel Koeman left Southampton after a successful season and with a relatively strong squad?

{Ed025's Note - £6m a year is the short answer mulam, he will also have a budget bigger than he has had before and the prestige of being at one of the great clubs and thats no offence to southampton but its true mate..

Thanks for the swift response Ed025. Will be interesting to see if he can do as well for you guys as he did at Southampton. Seems to be a very highly regarded manager but I would have thought the Everton squad would require a lot of strengthening to make top 6. You seem to have a lot of good but older players along with your best young players quite possibly moving on

I wonder if Koeman is committed long term to Everton or whether he still expects to take over from Wenger.

{Ed025's Note - he has got re-building to do mulam but he will have a very healthy war chest to work with, who know what the future holds for any manager? im afraid loyalty in football is a thing of the past but we just have to try and enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts mate..
