Need a huge atmosphere on Saturday at home to Southampton - get behind the team, biggest game since last season.

{Ed025's Note - the supporters are not the problem choons, its the boring guff that gets served up every week mate..

Agree Ed - but we more than ever need to play our part - that’s who we are.

{Ed025's Note - the fans are brilliant choons and never let us down, its the manager and the 11 neer do wells who put on the blue shirt every week that do mate..

Don’t think it’s the manager Ed. Ian Wright said so and he’s a gold toothed genius!

{Ed025's Note - well thats my theory out of the window then mate..

Ed stop being so negative and support our Manager. Supporters who keep wanting Managers sacked when we go through a difficult patch are just as bad as the board for their decision over the years. The more I come in this site the more I believe it’s not true fans of the club who go the games and understand the club.

{Ed025's Note - i will leave the positivity to you then STB, if you understand this club then you are a better man than me mate, can you give me 1 good reason why we should be optimistic about the immediate future?..

We don’t have to play tomorrow and lose 3 points Ed25. That’s as positive I can think for the immediate future.

{Ed025's Note - thats made me feel a lot better BR, thanks mate..

Did you here the supporter’s tonight. Feck if we had that passion on the pitch we would win the league.
Players and manager have to show they want it as much as we do. Sadly I don’t think they are up to it.

{Ed025's Note - the supporters were amazing woburn..as per usual..

Who are you. Have you a clue who people are on this site. Opinions matter, perceived right or wrong.

We have immense away support. On the whole but that is football. The Club on one mans ego is being stuffed.

Actually the supporters are the only good thing about this club at present. You could hear our supporters at Old Trafford over 40,000 Manc's. We just about stayed up last year and we are in the relegation zone, out of all the cups and yet the supporters still turn up week after week and those, like myself, who can no longer get to the games watch and support on the TV.
The Manager (s) , the DOF, the players, the support staff, the coaching staff, the scouts, Kenwright, Moshiri, and the rest of the board have let us down over and over again with poor recruiting, paying over the odds to average players, serving up crap football, getting us into the financial mess we are in and generally running the club into the ground. This lot don't deserve the support they get.

It's not boring guff and ed is complicit in this. I don't give a flying how it is done or how you play, the job is to win at the least don't lose.

To even think that the fans are in any way to blame or don't do their bit is treacherous.

To all the doom and gloomers. Some positives for you.
We have one of the best stadiums in the uk possibly Europe to look forward to which will increase our revenue in the future too.
We have a young Manager (who yes has made mistakes) who understands the club more than any other Manager since Moyes. Our Manger brought solidarity to the club when prior to his arrival there was a disconnect from players to supporters and the board. The supporters backed the players and showed their appreciation after the game last night. Frank is part of that and has been honest after every game when other Managers haven’t. When we have performed poorly he has criticised players or at least acknowledges mistakes.
The squad has improved when you consider the average age of the squad and players contracts ending. We had aging full backs or make shift full backs. Our CB had no leadership and that has been addressed and remember a few weeks back our defence was one of the best in the league.
Our midfield lacked pace and had players again aging and contracts coming to an end. (Delph, Allan and Sigurdson) Onana will become a top player and I like his bravery for a young player. Garner yet to see but that’s the type of player we should be recruiting. Geuye is an upgrade on Delph and Allan, he has been at fault for a few goals this season but I thought he was very good v city and yes he’s not the player he once was but he’s got more passion to wear the shirt and maybe at his age he shouldn’t be playing as often as he does.
Iwobi has been a massive improvement which we can’t forget. Gray has shown glimpses of brilliance and I just feel we need to find the right system to fit him into and maybe ironically we could stumble across this with Iwobi injury playing 5 or 3 at the back having Doucoure in the midfield 3 and giving Gray freedom to link up midfield and striker. Which he can also rotate with Gordon who I think has had too much criticism tbh. He is a young player who it is inevitable is going to have a dip in form and in a perfect world you would rest him and bring him back in when ready. Through necessity we have needed him and it’s easy to criticise and get on their backs.
We still have potentially one of the leagues best centre forwards and when I say that I mean there are not many out and out centre forwards. His fitness is crucial to our team and it’s a gamble. It was clear in our recent games he was rusty and lacking match fitness. The sooner he gets sharpness back and a goal to raise his confidence the better and I’m sure our performance and results will reflect this. Maupay is ok to be on the bench as an impact sub to play alongside DCL and he is a better than Rondon. Simms could step up from championship to prem when he gets his opportunity, the club and player done the right thing going on a successful loan and now it’s a case of taking the next step.
Give the Manager time and another summer window to recruit another 3 players and I’m sure we will be stronger again.

Maybe my passion got the better of me last night and I do respect other supporters views. I strongly believe we can’t continue to sack Managers especially one that hasn’t lost the dressing room or the connection with the fans.
We have had different people in charge of recruitment over the years and we need to let Thelwell do his job too and in fairness his hands are tied with FFP.
The board have made mistakes but they have also heavily invested in recruitment and the stadium so I don’t think it’s a commitment problem more the management of the board.
Let’s get a win v Southampton and kick on and show everyone what Everton is all about. UTFT.

{Ed025's Note - i love your positivity STB but i have to say that sounds like something the board would have us believe, the fact is its all about performance and ultimately points and we are seriously lacking in both mate, i hate to sound so negative but this is how most of us feel, it really does seem like the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off im afraid..

It is all about opinions mate. When you say most of us is that on this site you’re referring to? Because friends of mine don’t feel this way and the fans reaction seems more aimed at the board and not Frank.
