Did Roy Hodgson watch a different game to everyone else when asked if he felt lucky to get something out of the game he said no we had as much possession and as many chances as Everton.

{Ed077's Note - Palace were fortunate to not have a similar scoreline to the CP-Liverpool game. Everton should have been out of sight by half time.}

Branks, I gave up listening to Hodgson before his England tenure expired (or should I say before he did a runner after the Iceland game? )
I have no respect for him or his utterings he is just another 'Big Sam' with only slight differences imo.

He's only doing what all managers do in bigging up his team. it's not his fault we couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo.

I may be in the minority here.
As dreadful as palace and Roy’s tactics are he did actually make 3 positive substitutions all attacking players and actually got something out of the game.
We didn’t take our chances and got punished and Olsen actually made 2 decent saves to keep us in the game.
Would be nice if we had made some positive substitutions rather than defensive ones.

I am afraid would of, could of, doesn't cut it with me. Top sides find a way to win, leaving the rest fighting for the middle ground. What our lot need is not platitudes but a Fergy hairdrier and a few home truths and maybe a sports psychologist.

Top post bill, totally agree. There seems to be an inherent mental weakness running through this team. I think carlo has improved us in areas but a long long way to go. The results kind of back the offensive issues up. Not once this season has a performance convinced me that we are much better than last season as we haven't steamrolled anybody. Talk before the city Dortmund game re haaland hating losing and wanting to score goal after goal. I don't see that with everton.
